I didn't like this when it came out, but I am revisiting it after playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which has got me more interested in the early gunpowder age. Learned about Jan Zizka and his wagon circle firearms tactics, and it gave me flashbacks to this game lol. This game takes place in the 1600s if I'm not mistaken, and of course is a different age than 1400s Europe.

If you are a nerd who likes history, appreciate old eurojank games, and love mount and blade, you might dig it. Or if you're Polish. I recommend using With Fire and Sword Enhancement Mod. The one on Nexus is fine, drop the folder into your modules folder. Elevates the game just enough to be as fun as the mechanics were meant to bring it, imo. But this game is ancient, hovering around abandonware, and doesn't have much for mods worth your time except the aforementioned and maybe a couple others.

10/10 would play as Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth again.

I want to recommend this. I love Theresa's story, and she's fun af to play as. I really, really wanna recc this. But I can't complete it due to infinite loading screens halfway through the DLC. I've tried absolutely everything to fix it, and none of the workarounds worked.

Warhorse, pls fix. :(

Re-reviewed after an additional 50 hrs. I love this game very much. Launch bugs, don't care. Devs are well aware and are working on em. Performance will get better. Already gets a lot better with some modding, but honestly most people aren't up to task for that and that's fine. I'm that person who rips things apart until they work they way I prefer. We have a STALKER game in a popular engine now, that a lot of people know how to work with. This game will outlive us all, and the modding community's embraced it since day 0, with config tweaks and rebalances. We're starting to see the more high effort stuff hitting now as people learn the game from the technical side, with retextures, UI remakes, and a model here or there.

To the uninitiated: Wait. Play the other STALKER games, starting with Shadow of Chernobyl. Then do Pripyat, then Anomaly. Give the game a month or two, or however long. Stability will come, and we're all gonna hug this game to life no matter what happens, given some time.

To my fellow zone inhabitants: You already know wtf is up

Big thanks to the devs for making a fkn video game in a war zone. The world, atmosphere, models, graphics. All of it's better than I could've dreamed. <3

I absolutely love this game. A lot more fun with friends! I think my hrs logged might be off, but each play session is always a pretty intense experience. I think the single player campaign stuff they added is really neat, def old school SWAT series vibes. My fav loadouts for playing with friends is Riotshield + All less lethal options. Being a mobile piece of cover with the option to hit them with a pepperball pistol is really fun, and the shield goes on your back when you switch to your long gun. Pepperball AR, less lethal shotgun, etc. Playing the first time through some of the maps with friends is an experience i highly recommend, both for guidance and experiencing the (honestly) pretty traumatic missions with someone else there with you.

They really pulled off the atmosphere very well. This game would definitely be triggering to many people who've lived through active shooter situations. Caution advised for those friends. This feels like less of a 'fun game' and more of an intense experience. But given enough time in game you'll get desensitized and probably have a giggle at the absurd situations you find yourself in with friends. EX: When you're securing civilians (cuffing them) the player character is an absolute brute. It's pretty comical and you get dudes LARPing as unhinged cops in comms being the personification of excessive force. This game's copaganda for sure, but you can still have a lot of fun if you don't fw 12. (BASED)

Initial impressions: Worth the hype for me personally. Multiplayer is really fun. Enjoyed PVP. Played some campaign, no issues. Had a crash in PVE. THEY HAVE BLOOD RAVENS CHAPTER HERALDRY! Really enjoyable so far.

This should have been an expansion not separated from the base game. The Tech Adept class can only play the second half of the main story. Only 3 of the existing classes from Martyr can play the second half of the game. This should really be addressed.

One of the best couch coop games I've ever played, has a lot of charm. Far, FAR too short.
