Really badly written. Poor pacing. So much annoying BS.

The story is really bad. The writers wanted to write a particular story, someone protested and said there's this whole game attached to it, and the writer went ahead and wrote the story they wanted to anyway.

IGNORE THE STORY AND SKIP ALL CUTSCENES is my recommendation.

Also when you think it's over - it isn't - there's a whole new planet afterwards.

Suffer through it. When you finish, enable mayhem mode and play the actual game. Then it gets fun.

But leveling your first character is pretty meh..
