I have been playing this game since 2013. I have been on hiatus many times, but whenever I get back to the game, it's a blast :)

Awesomenauts is a really cool MOBA plattformer. As with any MOBA, you play with your hero (an Awesomenaut) and try to push against the turrets of the enemy lanes until you reach the drill (the nexus/the ancient) of the enemy team. Once you have destroyed the drill, your team wins the game.

You have a good variety of different heroes that you can pick. In total there are 3 heroes on every team. There are many different maps that you can play (which is different from Dota 2 or League of Legends).

The community is small and overall okay. Sometimes it is difficult to get into a match, because not enough people are online. But the game is still far away from being dead.

The content of the game clearly shows that this is a work of love. Each hero has a unique style and soundtrack, that shows that the team behind this game put a lot of thought into designing each Awesomenaut. And while doing so, they did not take themselves too seriously, so that you will discover some jokes and weird shop items.

Overall a very enjoyable game. Definitely worth checking out. The game also features a good tutorial to get you started and you can also play against and with bots if you would like to try out new Awesomenauts in a safe environment.

Oh, and did I mention the really cool soundtracks? Love listening to these.

Greatest adventure game I've come across so far. Monkey Island fans will love this one.

Short but very funny adventure

Nice "RPG" puzzle game with some combat and dexterity challenges. Nice artwork. And it runs great on Linux.

Funny first person shooter. But the download size is quite big (10GBs).
