wow. Just finished the game. Absolute masterpiece.

I do not have any other controller to compare it to, but I am very happy with this controller. Even first-person games like Portal 1&2 and the Talos Principle work like a charm with it. It is also very pleasant to browse the web with it.

Just finished the game. The third part is a worthy successor. It has a different vibe than the other parts. It's more grim/emotional. But there is still good humor to be found. The people who made this still know how to create an awesome adventure game and I am looking forward to their future games.

A simple puzzle game. But it's a lot of fun. Your objective is always to get "your" snake back into the hole in the ground. But there are obstacles and other snakes in the way. The game features different puzzle elements and different snakes that behave differently. Overall I really like the design of the puzzles. Except for a few puzzles at the very beginning I found none of them trivial, some of them were easy and most of them require a bit of thinking. A couple of them were tricky. Overall I managed to get through many puzzles relatively fast, but it was still a nice experience. I am not done with the game yet, because there are still plenty of puzzles left. I am looking forward to the rest :)

When Ron Gilbert announced his plans for Thimbleweed Park on Kickstarter, he wrote that it will feel like a LucasArts game from the 80's. For those of you who are not familiar with adventure video games from that time: They were awesome. LucasArts produced iconic games like Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones games based on the movies and many more. These games redefined what adventure games were supposed to be and they have a large followership to this day.

The question is of course: Did Ron Gilbert succeed in creating another such game in 2017? The answer is "yes, but". And here comes the even better part: While the old LucasArts games were great, they still had quirks in them and the games industry has learned from it's mistakes in the past 20 years. Therefore Thimbleweed Park is not only a genuine spiritual successor of the old adventure games, but it also implements the current state of the art conventions in the adventure game industry. The puzzles are of good quality and if you are totally stuck, there is even a hint system within the game that you can use to get some pointers.

If you like adventure games then I can wholeheartily recommend this game. If you are familiar with the old LucasArts classics, you will enjoy the game even more because it is full of in-jokes about the old classics and the 80's.

This game is a work of love. Of love for adventure games. This one is special. While I doubt that it will have the same massive impact as the classics from back in the day, this game is certainly something that should be in the collection of a modern day's adventure gamer.

A very well-made adventure game. In hindsight too grim for my taste, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The screenshots on the store page give you a good impression of the atmosphere of the game. If you think this meets your taste, I suggest you get this game.

You don't have to be a metal fan to like this game. This game is about a world where metal makes up the basic laws of the universe. And as it turns out, this is a pretty interesting aspect by itself.

This game is about Eddie Riggs, who is the hero in the story. You explore the world, get new skills and fight in metal fights. You act both as the coordinator in battles as well as a front-line fighter in these battles. It is advisable to look up the different strengths and weaknesses of your units in a wiki to see when you should build which types of units.

A lot of fun (and a lot of metal).

Extremely addictive, ahem, I mean fun...

Seriously, this game is about automation. Because if you don't automate, things take aaaaages. And your beautiful mind will rejoice when you finally automate something that you previously did manually. And then you will marvel at your own creations until you realize that there is something else that you should automate...

From a technical standpoint this is a masterpice. I'm still astonished how smoothly this runs even though there are so many things happening at the same time in the game.

This game is legendary. The humour, the puzzles, the mechanics. It is just awesome.

A wonderful, poignant experience. A bit philosophical. Sometimes a bit intensive, when you need to act quickly. And overall a pretty hard game (or maybe I am just bad at it).

It's hard to describe who might like such a game. Maybe it's mostly a matter of being able to immerse yourself into the game and to be in the right (albeit sad) mood. It is certainly beautiful in a strange way.

It's one of these games that is just different from everything else.
