Good Game.
But honestly quite boring.

There is 5% story, the rest is Driving around upgrading your car and collecting scrap.
30 hours in and I've done 7 story missions which I could do in an hour.

If I could recommend this game to a fellow friend of mine, I would tell them to focus on, the Story and not to go out of their way for scrap.

Just play for the story then move on.
Upgrading your car with all this time spent on, scrap is the biggest waste of 40 hours,
Eh, but once I started I didn't want to stop, or it felt like a waste of time.
What's done is done.

Unskippable Cutscenes every time you start the Game that feels like a Minute.
Can't be removed in the program files like most Games.


Ascending and viewing objectives using a Hot Air Balloon by using your Binoculars is a slow and annoying process.
Especially if you get half way up and realise there isn't enough Fuel, so you slowly descend having to find a Fuel Canister at the next camp, come back and fill it up, then Ascend again.

When you've ascended ya' gotta look in a 360 degree rotation and with a small view area to find white dots which mark Locations.
You can't see all the white dots through the Binoculars unless you're Zig Zagging up and down, side to side, criss cross etc.
Once you've found however many you think there is, you exit and it OPENS THE MAP randomly, so you exit the Map and find more white dots and Repeat.
It's a LONG process.

Let's not ignore the fact that after you've done all this, on the way down you could fall to your doom, or get killed on the road before the next save point, so all that progress has to be done again.
Ideally you should find the Locations via the Hot Air Balloon and then find those 2/2 Scrap under the Hot Air Balloon which will complete the camp and save your location.
There is NOT enough saving in this game, you'll be repeating ♥♥♥♥ you did the Night before.

2 hours in the Game and I found pieces to create Projects within Strongholds,
The objective is telling me, now that I have completed the required materials, I can build one inside a Stronghold and I must go there.

So I go there - and I can't build one. There's nothing here?
No dialogue, nothing. It's a dead end.
The objective to tell me to go there should not exist at this point until I'm up to building it within the story.

There is no aiming. There is suggestive aiming.
The Game will recommend and override your aim with where it thinks you want to shoot.
I'm aiming at a Fuel Tank about 5 meters from a Sniper in the horizon, it decides to headshot the Sniper.

30 hours in and I discover there's a Jump key, that would of been handy in the beginning when there was Scrap I couldn't get too. Although this is possibly my fault due to not checking the Controls - but shouldn't this of been in the tutorial.

Invisible walls,
Directly in front of you in a basic narrow hallway or an Isle of an Airplane, a straight line from point A to point B.
It's required to progress in the story, and they are everywhere.

If it wasn't for my persistence of backtracking a few meters - then progressing a few meters to in front, which allows me to progress in increments throughout the 5KM+ Airport then I would not of completed the Story mode of Mad Max.

This almost was borderline game breaking.
Should of been fixed. It's that bad you'd almost look up a noclip cheat

If you defeat the Boss before the 3 waves of enemies the Quest breaks and you have to reload your save, nice.

Overgrowth is fun just to hop around and parkour,

The Story is absolutely terrible.
Not only is it confusing due to at least 80 new characters you meet in the very short 1 hour 'ish campaign,
But every second person you meet has a disagreement due to personality or orders that you're to fight to the death,
and rather than coming to a solution -every single time- your friend ends up attacking you.

There's nothing in the story that keeps me interested.
If you bond with someone, then you can consider your friend to attack you.
and no this isn't some plot twist to try to keep you on edge, It's just poorly written to incorporate combat.

The only way to win in combat from my experience is Jump, then LMB everytime.
It's not WORTH standing there, blocking, throwing, and evading punches.
It's easier, quicker to Jump into battle with 2 feet forward for a power kick.

Using weapons against enemies, is not worth it.
I don't see it being beneficial,
Attack while trying not to get hit and MAYBE kill him,
or throw the weapon once to one hit them dead. -unless it's a Wolf.

Against enemies with weapons, It's impossible to block them unarmed, even with a weapon it's dodgy and feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.
So back to the Throw weapon, Jumping + LMB kick. The only two moves available.

Where's the tutorial? It was there but not complete,
like the game.

I still recommend it.
It's decent for a quick run through even with it's half-ass combat and no storyline, worth $5

Not as good as the first.
But worth playing.

The Story is confusing and random, I didn't know what I was doing half the time and found myself trying to google questions to get answers to my Objectives while evading spoilers.

Kage
I didn't like that the Nobitsura Kage, God Killer weapon was simply melted down into a Medallion with stats nobody cares about, It's turned into actual Trash.

Hoji
It's sad that Hoji didn't make a return or more mentions, you do get a sword forged from his Ashes which was nice to use.

Zilla
And your Boss from the first game, Zilla whom is your Ally in Shadow Warrior 1, then Villain,
Then an Ally at the end of this game, the ♥♥♥♥??

Ameonna
I'm also disappointed that Hoji's Sister, Ameonna that you save in the first game becomes a Villain,
The Immortal Ameonna for some reason decides to implant herself within Kamikos mutated body which then gets fought and cured by Lo Wang and somehow knowingly kills the Immortal Ameonna who should only ever be permanently killed with the Nobitsura Kage.
So why did she die ?

Kamiko
She's somehow 3 years old, conceived by the immortal Xing by using the Mother as a sacrifice, I have no idea. That's all I got out of the story.

The ending isn't a cliff hanger, It's a random piece of ♥♥♥♥.
It's like watching a generic Batman movie and in the last 30seconds, a Tyrannosaurus Rex drops from Space with laser gun eyes and says a quote in German with Ford Harrisons voice and bites your head off, then the Credits appear and loud music.

I don't think a replay will answer the confusing and sloppy Storyline.
Good hack n slash though with a lot of upgrades and elemental effects.

SO many things WRONG with the game.
Online is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BAD, I need emphasis on this, it's such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ system
Games shouldn't piss you off as much as this one is.

2 hours before you even play,
get your Mouse Smoothness, Acceleration, and Dodgy inconsistent fps fixed.
By ♥♥♥♥♥♥' around on Google and doing the same ♥♥♥♥ you do everytime for every other retarded Console broken port.

Watch Dogs was on Negative review for 25+ hours, but it's decently working to almost satisfcation of a PC gamer.
As usual, Story Mode is Good, the Online portion is just cancer to play.

Online hacking is broken, people are exploiting the system.

In-game Online Legal Hacking;
People can leave a session if they're about to lose with no penalty to them, and your hard work goes to waste.

People are being ♥♥♥♥♥ are farming the system by afking on top of a building with a sniper rifle and their Escape menu open which will tell you subtle when you're being hacked.
They'll use this to their advantage to farm points.

It is common occurrence the second I join a server,
they're on a motorbike while rushing to their camping spot,
Then up the top of a building with a sniper.

Just joined a guy legit standing on a beach looking around constantly like an autist
I joined him and he took a boat to an Island while on lookout. Impossible to reach him without being seen.
The point is, now it's one sided, I have no option but to swim over and be seen or quit hacking session, so I do.

Next guy,
He took off on a motorcycle who did a lap around the entire map without stopping for 5 minutes, wasted both of our times, he gained +16 score, not even worth it for him, yet they all do it.

Guy called koshimizu72 joined me, only to spawn 300meters away and the hack was complete in 7 seconds.
That's not normal.

Changing the values in .xml ;
UseMouseSmooth="0", Smoothness="0", and adding the line next to the previous, UseMouseAcceleration="0"

Need to add, the Mouse is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious.
Ridiculously slow at the highest setting.
Think this was designed for controllers.

I'll update my review when I give the game another chance with a controller.
There should be a setting when you first start the game , as well with a proper tutorial for a PC Keyboard layout.
I don't buy Overwatch on the Xbox6 and it tells me to press Spacebar to jump.

Can't pass the tutorial while using a Keyboard due to it being in a Console language I am not familiar with.
Press A, B, X, Y, Bumper, LS, LB. etc

Pressing Escape while in the very first portion of the game (Tutorial LOL), I try to access the Main Menu to find the Settings, to view the Keyboard Controls.

>No main menu when pressing escape, this is the attack key for the Hentai character.
>No main menu at all at this point. Stuck in tutorial.
>TAB lets me skip the next few fights and cutscenes until I get into the Game HUB.

Bloody good.
100000% the Game, worth every single minute playing. So enjoyable.

Loved the Story, Gameplay and everything about Middle Earth Shadow of War.
It's not 'canon' but that's not stopping me from pretending it is and how it connects within the Lord of the Rings universe.

My favourite part of the game is the Nemesis System, which provides endless amount of enjoyment from purely hunting down Orcs for their responses towards you.
Orcs have names, titles and ranks, among other things that define their appearance and their personality.

This will create Character, and you will remember these individual Orcs for either for what they say to you or their appearance.
You won't always kill them, and they will let you know the next time you come across them. It's quite humorous.
They're all unique in their own way.
I haven't come across the same Orc, or the same dialogue at all. They're almost infinite.

Not bad

Little spoiler regarding the end of the game.
The worst possible ending I have encountered in any Movie or Game I have seen or played in my ENTIRE LIFE. WITHOUT FAIL. 100%. THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

Massive, Massive, MASSIVE Spoiler.

The farty-nose picking brother dies,
Then the fat black kid dies,
Then the scrawny nerdy white boy dies,
Then It's assumed your Family and the whole town who were strapped into a machine dies,
Then you die,

You play as Grandma Charlene, probably 70 years later for 2 minutes,
the sole survivor.
She tells the story of her adventure she had with her friends to her two Grandchildren,
Charlene then prods along using her cane passed a photo with 20 other Grandchildren, she's pretty much loved.

But no, she walks to the basement, straps herself into a machine she spent years building and then she COMMITS SUICIDE.

The game ends with the main protagonists as pink blob ghosts reuniting in the afterlife.
Save the world but everyone died.
???
Profit.

Except for the 20 Grandchildren who have to grow up with their Grandma committing suicide in the basement.
Honestly, what the ♥♥♥♥ kind of story is this?
It's good gameplay, the Story is trash as ♥♥♥♥, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
