buy it on sale, no reason not to since the handsome collection and/or this game individually goes on sale a ton.
There's so much to be desired in this game, but after giving it a run through after not playing it for several years (and having to re-buy it thanks to only owning it on console) I can say I had a great casual playthrough with this game. laser guns are amazing and i really wish they stuck in the series, austrialians existing only on pandoras moon is funny, and the side quests are god awful. I still love the game and suggest you to play it, but it's something I can only suggest for people who 1. love borderlands and 2. don't mind that 2k australia dissapointed a LOT of people with this title back in it's life cycle. Thankfully, I could enjoy this unbiased and could enjoy the writing and story, although it did start off a tad dry after the first helios section and the story doesn't take any insane leaps, I loved jack's performance and how it showed how he not-so-slowly lost his marbles. Fun game, bit dissapointing and takes a bit of conditioning to get into, but damn did i enjoy my 20~ hours with the first playthrough.
(little side note after i wrote this review, didn't find it as replayable as borderlands 1 and 2 because of how overpowered doppelganger is. highly suggest leaving him for after your first playthrough if you want to squeeze replayability due to how braindead his increase in power is around the second half. i beat the final boss 4 levels under because of how overpowered the blue skill tree is.)
