I can only hope the College of Cardinals doesn't choose José Mendonça, who wants female clergy and abolition of the Church's stance on abortion.
Rather than focusing on doctrine and fidelity to both God and his denomination's bylaws, he was advancing Liberation Theology demons, nodding along with imams, affirming transgender prostitutes that their "calling" was holy, clearing the blessing of homosexual "couples," and exhibiting all but open contempt for the idea of Christianity being the only faith that saves.
He was asleep when his home country wanted to murder its children, ignored when one of Catholicism's greatest daughters, Ireland, legalized abominations and became fanatic baby killers, and did nothing as the world proclaimed its hate for God.
Why? It's because that same world proclaimed its love for him.
