Both are very strong, Ikkit had lead to many great and overpowered campaigns.

Tik Taq To might be the better Lizard lord this release though.

Both LLs bring something to the table.

Nakai's campaign could have been handled better. The horde style gameplay, for me, is great. I love it.

The vassal is poop.

Mr. Fancy Empire dude is pretty good, the campaign is fun. I like the vermintide reference.

Her campaign is fun, her character is cool. It's the only Brett lord I'll play.

When this released Snikch was a fairly popular LL, you could say he's been outpaced by Ikkit and Throt.

His units though leave a strong legacy. Drills and Mortars, still very strong.

The DE stuff, it adds to an already strong army. Not much to say.

You like Orcs? Too bad, you're gobbos now baby. Grom the paunch is a fantastic campaign, his food buffs are incredible.
You want to field a full stack of Goblin Archers? Believe it or not, effective. Exploding arrows and Armor Piercing scrap upgrades make short work of stacks on stacks.

Eltharion is HElf batman. Mete out some vigilante justice and kill the villainous greenskins. Teach those green fungi what-for.

So

You a fan of Wood Elves? You're going to want this to fill out your roster. Zoats are the siege attackers you've dreamed of.

Throt is nuts, you could play any way and do insane things, but he really buffs monster armies. Pump them up with mutations and let it rip. Any army becomes monsters. If you thought you relied too much on weapon teams playing previous skaven lords, be prepared to finish a campaign without a single catapult.

Early Access Review
I'm not going to offer the opinion of someone who has made a billion SPOMs or even a working steam generator, but as a casual with a few hundred hours anyway, I'm really enjoying the early game. It's pretty different, the biomes are tighter together, your dupes will be breathing polluted oxygen for a long while, and your plant choices are new and exciting.

In some ways it's a bit like the 1.0 release in terms of excitement for me. There's so many new things!

I really like:

New UI bits like breathability, plants, idleness.

New Dupe traits: Some now come with more advanced skills already.

Early Rockets? I'll admit, I'm still stabilizing, but I'm ready to colonize multiple planets. The spread seems pretty cool.

If what's on offer doesn't excite you, then by all means wait on it, the DLC will only get bigger and better.

But I'm happy with my purchase and recommend it to big fans who want new content

Early Access Review
So, it's very early, and the balance definitely swings into your favor since the different magic/stuff interacts with each other, like if you make it rain or someone is standing in a puddle, and you shoot a lightning bolt at it, then it arcs along the whole path of water. There are some fairly overpowered combos too.

There are 6 scenarios, the population and their traits changes each time. You unlock them by completing the earlier scenarios.

There is a custom scenario with a number of options, some of them much more extreme than their preset scenarios.

The gameplay is fun, right now it consists mostly of tormenting people, watching how they react when Buffy's Husband turns into a Vampire and then you send a little demon to tell the town's leader about it.There's a lot to their AI and what they do due to different traits or their mood bars, some of this is under the hood, and other bits are just behind different buttons instead of always in your face.

The building is a bit strange since the maps look like a rectangle/square but the buildable/castable area is actually a hexagon.

Now, if you like God games, it's definitely worth it.

But if you're looking for a colony sim, it still has a long way to go (though it is planned).

There's a lot of good games out there for $20 but I like what I see, and if you're eager to get on the ground floor of this, I think it's worth a buy.

Some people will complain about the graphics, but I dunno, after Rimworld and Rise to Ruins, my bar for graphics is very low, when the gameplay is so good. I don't really like the saying "It's like Rimworld but you're playing Randy Random." but it is fairly accurate anyway, if Rimworld were magic, and if as Randy, the colonists could find and kill you.

I kind of play it like it were Dungeon Keeper 3: The Overworld, which never got made, but you can seize and breed monsters, corrupt people into Cultists, and you have to protect your portal with magic and the graces of whatever you can summon to your side.

Once they introduce base building mechanics (again, on the roadmap) I'm sure I'll have an even better DK3 lol
