Review Changed since seeing Sheva Tribal Skin.

The game was easy and lack no real challenge compared to the other RE games. A real bland story and dated controls, but its fun with your friends... BUT that's not why you plan these games, you play them for the funny moments with your friends.

Classic LucasArts' game where the length of the game is padded by the obscurity of the puzzles.

That's not to say I didn't like it or enjoy my time with it. Unique story and interesting plot but the voice actor for Indiana Jones sound like any average man on the street, nothing like Harrison Ford.

I have never played the original but it is included in this copy. There is no problems with up-scaling and text readability with the Enhanced Edition but both are included. All in all, it is great game. One of those classic games where the solution isn't present to you and isn't obvious, Certainly cannot be enjoyed by anyone like most point-and-click adventure from the 90s but if you are fan of Blade Runner or classic 90s game, pick this up when its on sale.

SOMA is one of those games that has been picked apart by video essay on Youtube so I won't comment on the meaning and implications of this game. If you are a fan of hide-and-seek horror, I would definitely play this. All in all, an amazing game with interesting locations and beautiful world. The implication made in this game are awful at best, terrifying at worse.

Some negative things:
1. Simon character can be annoying at times. He is a stranger in a strange land but seems to often argue with Catherine. I know this is to push a certain narrative but I feel most people in Simon's shoe would just try their best to get on with it, and shut up.
2. Even though Catherine worked on Pathos-II, she doesn't shine any light on anything in the facility, I get her brain scan is from early before everything got messy but she could explain some stuff or theorise, I think this would have helped build the world and provided some relief to the player in the form of conversation.
3. Almost every area ends with the boss chasing you and you having to make a mad dash for the exit, this isn't particularly hard but by the second last level, I just was always collecting the final items and running straight out of there.
4. Even though I run this game of an SSD, when I loaded my game, there was a minute or so where everything was low resolution, which is not what you want when you are trying to evade monsters.
5, all the humans in this game look awful. There is only a couple of moments but my god, they look terrible

A good old game from the time when games were punishingly hard.

Many puzzle have obscure solutions, and you are required to note information down to solve the final puzzle,
I did do this but when I got the final room, I got it wrong. When I reloaded the game again, the hint from the very beginning of the game had changed. It was no longer Welsh, it was Olde English. I gave up there, and restarted.

The game actually isn't very long if you know what you are doing. I played through it again after messing up the final puzzle and got there in an hour and a half.

The game doesn't follow the movie which might be annoying to some but interesting to others but all in all, the game is a classic but there certainly isn't anything you are missing out on.

The Outer Worlds is not anything special. To be brief:
All the story choices boil down to: Ultra-Capitalist vs Work-Class, and in what world would you side with the ultra-capitalist? Never mind the morality, even in the game it is clearly pushing you toward one choice over the others.
I'm not sure how 'open world' this open world game actually is. Space is tricky to do right, I think the Outer Worlds has go at it, but once you explore a location, you realise how small it really is. There also isn't much in the way of places you can go which don't serve any purpose other than its own little around.

but:
The Companion are interesting, they have banter with each other on your ship. Your ships actually get decorated as you play the game.
The freedom is there even if the game doesn't really seem to want you to use it.
The ending is a real feel good.

I'm looking forward The Outer Worlds 2 even if there is a lot of unused potential.
