Report a translation problem
With some, it's fine - like Lokhir, Changeling, Volkmar, and a few others (who either move around a lot in lore or have a compelling lore reason to start where they do), but ever since the Tomb Kings with Khatep and Khalida (at least in the Warhammer 2 campaign) starting in ridiculous locations, it's only gotten worse.
Indeed, Mother Ostankya starting not in Kislev is utterly beyond me. She might be the worst example of it yet.
