Honestly, I was some what skeptical about purchasing another video game but my friend kept on insisting that I should get Lethal Company. He ended up gifting me the game because he really wanted me to play it!

Right now, I will tell you this... I WISH I had spent that $10.00 on this game because it's so unbelievable good. For an early access indie game, you are getting an unforgettable coop horror experience that is fun, enjoyable, and terrifying all at once.

The premise of the game is very simple, you have to gather enough scrap to sell in order to meet a 3 day quota, otherwise you lose the game and have to start over. Players are given the choice of landing on multitude of planets / locations to collect scrap, but the real twist here are the randomized building interiors, which consist of steel corridors, pitch black hallways, booby traps, and terrifying monsters that can attack you at unexpected moments!

But the real jewel of this game is the well crafted proximity chat. Just hearing your friends scream in absolute horror as they sprint down stone cold hallways from disfigured creatures chasing them is the best feature of this game. Whenever you speak in a room, there is a level of reverb which adds to the level of immersion. My personal favorite feature of Lethal Company is the Walkie Talkies! One of the funniest anecdotes I have of this game is when a friend of mine was still inside the building looting around, while the rest of us dropped off our scrap at the ship. I kept in touch with him over the radio and could hear every single sound through his Walkie Talkie. Then, all of the sudden, the only thing I could hear was his loud muffled footsteps as he sprinted down a hallway, a sentry gun being activated and his terrifying screams of horror as he was being mowed down by machine gun fire, and then silence...

This is definitely one of the best game's to come out in 2023.

NVIDIA did such an amazing job with this project, the lighting and asset rework was honestly what fans of the original Portal have been waiting to see for nearly 15 years. I kept forgetting that I was playing on the already decades old Source Engine, which amazingly still holds up today.

This free upgrade is a very welcoming gift from NVIDIA & Valve, so there isn't really much to complain about.

Update:

When this game came out, it was a disaster. There was a lot potential but the game was too broken to play and server performance was non-existent.

After 2 years since release, I can say that Arma Reforger is making a comeback!

Arma is incredibly fun to play and it performs very well on most modern hardware. New content is regularly being added, and ever since the 1.0 update, which added helicopters, the player count is climbing back to normal levels.

This game has stunning graphics, lighting, and a high level of attention to detail. Every building is enterable and uniquely modeled. Forests have unique biomes and tree species, so every region feels different from one another. The weather system is well designed and is randomized so every match feels different. Sometimes you'll play during a bright sunny day, other times on a picturesque sunset with a purple-blue sky.

The atmosphere of Arma Reforger brings authenticity and realism that very few military style games provide.

The vehicle system is excellent and and provides players with a diverse selection vehicles that all have their own unique functions. From armored an armored BTR to cargo trucks and light utility vehicles, players have a lot to choose from. Maintenance is also a critical part of the vehicle system and makes it crucial for players to refuel and repair damaged vehicles after battle.

Aerial vehicles like helicopters allow players to transport a number of troops and provide much needed logistics that can leave a large impact on whether or not your team is able to win the battle and capture enemy bases.

The clothing system is also similar to DayZ and is very detailed, allowing you to customize your character's loadout to your desire. You can become a medic, a sniper, a machine gunner, or a mixture of all. Weapons have different attachments, such as grenade launchers and scopes. Players can also deploy bipods on virtually any surface.

The base building portion of Arma Reforger is very entertaining. You can build fortifications, weapon emplacements, walls and roadblocks as long as you have the supplies to build them.

I would highly recommend this game if you like open world, first person shooter military sim's.

This is essentially SCP:CB with the addition of a multiplayer mode! Plus, it's on Steam and you can earn achievements, you no longer have to go to the website and download the launcher. 10/10

This is the very first VR game I've bought, and I can personally tell you it was worth the 12 year wait just to see another Half Life game. Half Life: Alyx is the most polished, detailed, immersive, and captivating game I've ever seen. Every level is bountiful with high resolution models, and I nearly spent dozens of minutes just picking up various objects and examining them. From vodka bottles, to newspapers, computer parts, to food rations. Every object was detailed down to finger print smudges. The same goes for the level design, there were so many details littered throughout each respected environment, I always never found myself getting bored of just admiring their beauty. The exteriors and interiors of all the apartment quarters in City 17 looked photorealistic at times, and the lighting was perfect too. Animations were superb, and I was definitely appalled when I first saw how the NPC's moved in the environment. The motion capture used to create these life like animations are masterclass, these animations were the best looking animations I've ever seen in a video game. The same goes for the sounds design. The sounds, accompanied by the photorealistic environments, had me hooked, I just didn't want to take of the headset. I'll update the review more once I reach the end of the game.

This game is a masterpiece! It definitely ranks as one of the best games within the free to play genre on Steam. As a game based around SCP lore, it ranks second place, just behind SCP: Containment Breech, which takes the crown as the best SCP game out there. The dedicated SCP community has crafted us a world of nightmares for horror fans alike. Northwood studios has beautifully translated the terrifyingly scary world of SCP into an online multiplayer horror fest, where you have to escape the nightmarish anomalies that are contained within site-02, the facility in which the game takes place in. The game was built on the foundations of SCP: Containment Breech, which is a masterclass single-player free to play game. However, Secret Laboratory is distancing itself from containment breech, whilst keeping some aspects of it in the game. Every update is promising, bringing much needed new content and remasters of current SCP's. This game is amazingly fun, horrifying, and a good way to spend your free time with randoms. The game has some pretty cool mechanics, and I hope in the future they add more gimmicks for players to use against each other.

Received the game as a gift from my friend who wanted me to play back in 2014. Honestly it's a "must have" game, took time to learn, but afterwards it was smooth sailing. I would end up staying up till 2:00 A.M to finish a match with my friend on the weekends, never regretted any moment playing this masterpiece !

If I could describe this game with one word, it would be "Memes". I've never seen such an amazing game for free like this, becoming the commander of the Ugandan knuckles and growing an army of them to invade other worlds. Or sitting around at a campfire, only to hear the "remove kebab" song in the background and watch as these massive cockroaches with a giant Turkish flag on their backs, whilst marching in with the music...
