Games for Windows Live. It's broken and you can't save if you can't log in. If you have the patience to wrestle with it then my issue isn't relevant, seeing as others have managed to get it going.

Left 4 Dead meets Borderlands in the single player, first person moba in the multiplayer, combat feels floaty and weak.
Better luck next time Gearbox.

Very cool game with beautiful art, pretty responsive controls and well informed and interesting insights into Norse Mythology.

Almost every boss is well designed and tests what you've learned from each level with the exception of the final boss.

I won't spoil it but I found the final boss to be more annoying than challenging, though I did give up on beating it simply due to how frustrating and uninspired it is compared to the other bosses who were quite a delight to behold and fight.

A wonderful game with a sweeping series of high notes but a rather mediocre and dull final note, but all in all do recommend and well worth the time and money.

The vast majority of reviews are quite decieving for this game, in that they paint a picture for this game that makes it seem like more than it really is.

The 2D naval combat and the camera that's way too close makes the game feel extremely small and claustrophobic and makes combat a nuisance at best, and on top of the terrible camera, the heavy amounts of aim assist make it very dull, tracking your shots hardly matters since your shots effectively home in on the target so long as you're in range and have charged your broadside shots and the turrets are literally an autolock and fire themselves when you're in broadside mode.

The controls and functionality are very off-putting as well, this game was very obviously made for consoles and wasn't properly ported to PC, there are no options in game, only a settings launcher that pops up before you enter the game so if you want to change anything at all you have to restart the game before you can. Keyboard and mouse controls feel pretty slip and slide too.

Finally there's all the comparisons to Freelancer I want to put to bed.
I played Freelancer for hours, probably hundreds of hours, I absolutely ADORED Freelancer, it was the ideal space sim for a plebian like me, nice and simple and really pretty while still feeling like it's in space.
This however is no Freelancer.
The combat is way too basic, the movement is way too restricted, the world is far too claustrophobic. Everythings packed and squeezed into this tiny 2D space where the concept of up and down are alien to the player character.

Sorry Freelancer fans, you're gonna have to keep going without.

Overall this game's pretty naff.

It should have been a Naval game.

A beuatiful and atmospheric game with a brilliant setting and breathtaking skyboxes, the quality of the ships' designs and animations are truly stunning and a testament to the love and care that went into this remake.

That said the campaign (the core of the game in my opinion) is savagely unforgiving, even on the lowest difficulty. If you're not familiar or comfortable with complex RTS games that require a lot of quick reactions, map awareness and fore-planning this is not for you at all.

I've personally been unable to complete the campaign, much to my dismay since I enjoyed a great deal of what I did manage to get through, but the nature of it just makes it too difficult.
A victim of the 'harder is better' mentality in my opinion.

I f*cking hate this game my hands hurt from the amount of button mashing I had to do to try and keep up with the amount of horsesh*t it throws at you after five or so story missions, way too much trash, way too many captains coming out of nowhere to gank-squad you, way too many special minions all at once, way too inaccurate combat targeting, especially with so many afore-mentioned special minions who you can't fight normally and no adjustable difficulty for nerds who don't care about the copy-paste Arkham fighting system and only marginally care about the nemesis system and just want to play through the game.

Beginning of the game is 9/10 started off janky in the storyline, quickly became very interesting, combat was amazeballs, felt badass, slashing up orcs felt fun, killing captains in funny ways also fun.

Five or six missions in 4/10 Story still great, side characters are fun, LotR lore rich and creative as always, combat turns to sh*t with all the special fairy princess trash-packs who will beat your a*s into a pulp if you don't treat them super special like your favorite trophy wife and the gank squads of 3+ captains popping out of each other's a*sholes like cr*ptastic russian dolls along with their entourage of 30+ orcs in tow like the longest dingleberries you've ever seen in your life and magical self-activating stronghold alarms that summon another 30 orcs out of literally nowhere.

At the time of reviewing I only just finished the game.
I'm struggling a bit how to describe the game since all the words I'm thinking of just don't quite fit.

Astounding, amazing, fantastic, beautiful, superb, incredible, satisfying, wonderful, ecstatic, heartwarming, tearjerking, challenging, smooth, etc. etc.

Almost every positive attribute you could possibly tag on to a platformer fits the bill yet none of them really feel like they sum up the feeling of elation I garner from having played this game.

I guess all I can really say is that you should play this game, I whole heartedly believe everyone should at the very least try this game.

The art is beautiful, the music is sublime, the controls are smooth, the puzzles are creative, the story is heartwarming and tearjerking, the animation is superb. For the first time in... Well I'd say EVER I have nothing bad to say about a game, not one thing!

Even if you're not a fan of platformers you have to play this. I mean, I don't like platformers and I adored every second of this game!

I know its only the third month of the year and it may be a bit presumptious to say it but Ori and the Blind forest has got to be the best game of 2015, I can't imagine how anyone could top this game.

All of my love to the music and art team AND the gameplay team, everything fit together seamlessly.

Changed from a no to a yes based on significant price drops, it's fun if you like pretty space strategies.

The game's a basic 4x strategy game, its very pretty and has some nice soundtracks, the combats even more basic with linear upgrades for ships and a simple counter system but at least you get a pretty cinematic in the background.
Its quite buggy and playing online is almost impossible due to a myriad of bugs ESPECIALLY when using a large map.
If you see it going for cheap on sale I do recommend it if you like turned based 4x games.

Also if you can't stand seeing things that make absolutely no sense brace yourself if you do buy it because you may happen to see a giant tree sticking out of a gas giant at some point.

I am forced to not recommend it though due to the fact it hasn't got much substance beyond the pretty paint job, especially with regards to the derp AI and broken as all hell balance.

Its uneccesarily loaded with DRM requirements and I appear to get lag no matter what graphics settings I have it set on, I can only assume this is due to communications with servers in the middle of nowhere whilst I'm playing SINGLE PLAYER.
So yeah all things considered the gameplays pretty lackluster and monotonous the styles neat but nothing to gawk at and its got some DRM slapped on its ass.
I do regret buying this game at the end of the day.
