This game is effectively free and a work of art, recommend buying it absolutely, Team Cherry deserves the pocket change it'll cost you to buy this.

Playing it I'm not so sure on.
I haven't played/beaten 100% of the game though I have "106%" completion but what I haven't beaten is so incredibly difficult and exhausting to attempt that I've been forced to give up. (Think 10 minute long gauntlets with little to not time to gather your senses, seemingly endless boss rushes, repetitive bosses with steadily increasing damage until you're effectively forced to never get hit and battles that are like an extremely dangerous and one-sided game of tennis, waiting for your turn to hit the ball while evading all kinds of hazards.)
If you're not a metroidvania champion you will not be able to beat a not insignificant amount of this game's content including being completely locked out of one if not more of the game's possible alternate endings.
Give it a try sure but if you find yourself bouncing against a wall for hours on end until your fingers ache and your head hurts, maybe just call it quits. Significant chunks of this game was made for a very niche audience that craves brutal unforgiving difficulty.
On the upside the community is much less toxic and elitist (almost not at all) than other "hardcore games", and others who have beaten the game are pretty happy to lend tips and advice whenever things get tough, but for all their good intentions the game can simply be too sadistic for many players to handle so for many all those helping hands will be for nought.

I hope that Silksong isn't as miserably brutal as many parts of this game tends to be.
My fingers still ache.
