"I can't build my city here... it's too lumpy"
And this I harvested 500,000 logs and turned the entire map into a giant wood platform.

10/10 will destroy more forests in the next level.

It was a fun time-killer. Something to enjoy seeing numbers dance around when I can't handle more complex games.
But there is a bug in how some things work, and no matter how many times I explain it and argue that it is entirely outside of what the mod or admin or WTF ever it is that runs the forums, I am met with nothing but rude disbelief and accusations that I am merely misreading things.

There is a spell called tax collection. You get an amount of bulk income based on a few factors. Automatic casting has been witnessed to give me a vast amount of the currency one earns between play resets one use, and then literally provide nothing at all the next, despite being equal in value. Diminishing returns is one thing, but autocast consumes several dozen uses of this spell, and yet I have witnessed it give me literally nothing right before manually clicking it to cast one at a time, and getting a proper noticeable percentage of the first bulk income of any given moment I test this stuff on.

I am not an idiot. I know what I am seeing. I have owned and played entirely too many games in my life to be so rudely assumed ignorant or presumptuous by those involved.
I am done being insulted, and I am done trusting these pricks. I will probably still load the game from time to time--I have a rather addicting personality--but I have completely lost faith in anyone involved ever treating me like a person. Like I know freaking ANYTHING.

Play if you want, but don't give these fools a dime. Not a single Yen.
There is not a chance in the nine hells they deserve it.

It's cute, it's silly, and it's got a really terrible inventory system.

I have no idea how passionate I'll ever get about it, but I know that the amusement I've gotten from Let's Game It Out has easily earned the price of the game.

The progression system is a little odd, and some of the mechanics and visuals are a little clunky, but the effort and passion are there.
More importantly though, this game experiences a tremendous boost in value and enjoyment if you have a good friend that compliments your own interests in such a game; I like to explore and gather and my pal likes to build and develop. I'm sure you can get a lot out of it without this, but if you want my 22.4 hour single play session sort of experience, get yourself a best friend.

The perfect sequel this is not, but then nothing can truly beat Caesar 3.

Still, many improvements are made that greatly reduce stress and increase enjoyment.
No longer are labor slums needed to provide distant buildings access to the workforce, nor gatehouses to act as pseudo-roadblocks.

I would say my favorite changes are the ability to build aqueduct into defensive walls, fountains working much more effectively than a tacky area of affect, the set all option in storage units, greater market control, and not needing to fear pleb housing upgrading to patricians and destroy my entire employment structure without notice.

The 3D engine is nice, too.

Venture Seas is a rather nice experience within a fairly small and niche genre; Adult-themed RPGs.

You've got all the basics of a decent RPG, gear, levels, heal items, etc etc etc, presented in an interesting if yet incomplete story centered around sailing the seas, which seem to be constantly rising due to waterfalls pouring down from the sky.
The adult content is, in my opinion, top-notch, though also waiting to complete, obviously.
Sleep with your crewmates, open a brothel, and even have a chance encounter with a cute femboy purse-thief! If you like that content, I suggest chasing him!
With special items found throughout the game (with some.... essential ones still not exactly put in game yet) you can change the size, shape, and even gender of yourself, or any lesser crewmate! I say lesser, as any of the main cast (expedition leaders, your brothels Madam, etc) have fixed genders and appearances. Not that there isn't a type for nearly everyones tastes! The one exception to this rule is the very first person you meet; Mehande. You can fully control her gender at the literal start of the game; fo you want Mehande to be female? Male? How about a futa? You can bet your life I chose the last one!

Everything is consensual, gender fluid, and super enticing, with an amazing array of different people and people-hybrids to befriend, fight, and F**K. Naga, catfolk and centaurs are already present, and who KNOWS what will be added on the final island? I'd like some dragons, personally!

Some games of this style don't really get me "excited" if you know what I mean, but I can't help but let a hand wander at certain scenes throughout. As for other futa content, in case you're one of those individuals like myself who cant get enough of it, going to the second towns tavern at night has a very nice scene, and in I believe the third or fourth you can acquire one for your brothel. Though I would recommend enjoying the scene with her first to it's fullest extent before making the purchase. Near the end of the current gameplay, you can find a chapel of sorts to sexual fuilidty and transgenderism, sleep with the leader, and even become a deciple if you like!
There's loads of interactions with the hirees (It's really hard making this review without the WH word.) in your brothel, all related to "personal training" where you can enjoy any of the sorts of encounters you task them to; from some nice simple oral, to all sorts of BDSM stuff. PLEASE NOTE HOWEVER that most of the higher level scenes your employees can unlock have not been written yet, so while you can "technically" have your beautiful 5 foot tall futa snake be a Domme and take you from behind, there is sadly no actual flavor text for it yet. So, use your imagination or just wait patiently like me.

All in all I think this is a really great game, and though some people were unhappy with the recent expedition overhaul, I personally find most of it quite enjoyable, with my only qualms being how confusing some of the rarer more complex random events are.

I give it a 9 nuts out of 10, with an upgrade to 10 out of 10 coming the moment they add the brothel scenes that are missing, and let me sleep with Mehande. And maybe her lithe younger sibling.

Falsely accusing me of piracy, I have been permanently banned from this garbage games garbage forums. I couldn't even load my copy which is quite provably legally in my posession. Steam systems can't lie.

I have therefore been robbed, abused, insulted, and then swept under the rug by petty ignorant childish imbecils who can't take criticism. This is pathetic, and so are the makers and producers.

This entire company and all it's associates needs to go under and never return to the world again. This is the scummiest most ignorant, pathetic, and cowardly way I have ever been treated by moderators or developers of anything anywhere.

I feel no remorse in saying this game and the people behind it are complete filth.

When Sim City (2013) was anounced, I was one of the happiest gamers alive. I adore city-builders so much I knowingly make bad choices with some other styled games. *cough*tropico*cough* but with Sim City, I was so very very confident that everything would be great, and I would see everything i loved again.
Then, it came out, and looked like little more than another sequel in Sierras religion series (Caesar and Pharaoh were both god-kings and Zeus is an actual god) that should have been named "Dollar" to reference the modern era. I. Was. So. Disappointed.

Then they gave me a free game I've never played to appologize for the screw-ups, and told us the only way to make the cities "bigger" was to build UPWARDS.

The shame I felt for my once-loved developer was the highest I have ever felt.

A while back I saw a youtube video (Lazy Game Reviews) about Cities: Skylines, and bought the game before the ten minute mark.

Once you figure out the nuances of the roads and their unlocking stages, there is only one thought to have; "THIS IS WHAT SIM CITY WAS MEANT TO BE!"
The map creator is so powerful I have trouble figuring out how it behaves. Rivers are unbelievable, bottlenecks and extra sources need to be very very carefully planned so that river beds don't run dry, and city centers don't flood. Mountains can be sculpted as basic or detailed as you like. Want to make the Appalachia Hills? No problem. Want to make my home and back yard of the Rocky Mountains? You should probably start with a heightmap, but otherwise it's so doable. Heck, you could even recreate some of the iconic interstate system! (Though it might not be till summer 2015 when you can actually build the Eisenhower Tunnel....)
I don't think the type of tree influences actual gameplay (Though I wish it would. I'd love to have an industry that specializes in Oak furniture. "That's not natural...." Heh.) but it can control quite a bit of beauty. Aside from careful resource placement, all I can suggest for map making is get the workshop item (or make your own version it's not hard) of 2 parallel highways in opposite directions. Placing road intelligently without doing this in the map editor is quite the challenge.

That out of the way, the graphics are great, the game flows great, the speed is great. Everything is great.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go name one of my forest businesses "Buttes Enterprises"

Decent game, Worthless community and moderators.

I complained about a mechanic, someone said osmething pretty rude, and I called him a stupid jerk. That was the extent. A. Stupid. Jerk. And they banned me.

Not seeing them FIX the issue with accidentally eating raw crab either.
