Pro’s:
  • Achievements, though only 13 compared with Quake 1's 35! Why is there such a difference here?
  • Community cards and Badges
  • Weapon and equipment now have their own wheels that slow down gameplay and let you select what gear you want during a fight! This is completely OPTIONAL as you can still quickswitch like before.
  • many options to configure the HUD, including your Crosshair size, colour, and style, Hit markers, FOV, Always run, view bob and more. This may seem small but it serves to help make gameplay better according to one's taste. In saying that, they could have easily added 50+ additional settings to customise one's experience.
  • Physics are a lot better, Your movement is more agile and the enemies themselves sometimes will try to dodge or take cover from your gunfire! (Depending on the enemy type and situation)
  • Compass Item serves as an extremely useful tool that displays the direction of the next main objective on the ground in front of you. This is extremely useful when you get lost or need to find the quickest way back after a good 'ol secret hunting excursion! (This is also optional)
  • You get 4 additional campaigns on top of the base game. These are:
Call of the Machine, The Reckoning, Ground Zero and Quake 64. Overall the content on offer here will take you at least 30 hours to complete, assuming you are not rushing or playing on the easier difficulties! Which the Multipler Modes, Cooperative campaigns and many secret levels, it goes without saying that there is great value for money here.
  • Fantastic soundtrack, easily one of the best boomer shooter OSTs of all time. While the main tracks can and do get a bit repetitive, hearing the OST for the first time while exploring the early levels and kicking Strogg ass is a great memory of mine.
  • Just like in Doom eternal, shooting enemies that have an energy shield with an energy weapon such as a Hyperblaster (This game's version of a plasma rifle) or the ammo hungry Plasma Beam will deal extra damage to the shield itself. This adds a nice touch of strategy when dealing with the tougher enemies of the game. While it isnt an essential mechanic to remember, it will save ammunition and also incentivises players to switch weapon types more often! (EG. Bullets to Plasma Cells)
  • Nightmare difficulty mode is present and playable for each of the 5 different campaigns. This mode, which is also known as Hard+ is a super tough mode but feels much more balanced than Quake 1's Nightmare difficulty setting. While it is generally a fair setting, it has a few quirks that I will mention in the Cons Section below.
Con’s:
  • The Berserkers "new" AOE Slam attack is OP as the range that it can damage the player is absurd, they can also jump across ridiculous distances very quickly in order to hit you with this attack. While it is fairly rare to encounter, I feel that it is super unbalanced as you will be able to dodge maybe 1 out of every 10 ground pounds they perform!
  • No Downloadable Soundtrack? Not a major critiscm but a missed op for sure.
  • Nightmare Gripes are as follows:
Enemies do not flinch on nightmare which means you will have to wait for their (often hitscanning) attacks to be over before you can deal damage to them without being shredded yourself. This can slow down gameplay at times as you will often have to bait out an enemies attacks while you hide and wait for it to finish, only then can you run up close and blast it. This is especially true of the tougher enemies like the Tank, Tank Commander, Icarus and Beserker.
No additional ammo, which is ridiculous to me as the enemy count is increased. If there are more enemies, why tf isnt there more ammo to help out?
The Carrier Boss spawns in Flyers to distract you from damaging it, but the rate at which it can spawn/teleport in these Flyers is absurd. You often dont get more than 2 seconds of time after destroying one before another one can spawn in! This makes fighting this particular boss incredibly lengthy and drains a huge amount of ammunition as you'll have to deal with its speedy minions! Terrible design in my opinon.
  • 13 Achievements is far too few. I expected 30+, much like Quake 1. Nit pick I know, but it was dissapointing.
  • No option to change the size and position of your held weapons exists in the gameplay settings of the game. I had to go into the console to change these values. I did this because the size of a few of the weapons you hold take up too much of my screen. I respect the customisation options you can tweak inside the settings menu, however they could have added so many more options to configure your experience!
  • No Horde mode like Quake 1! Missed opportunity if you ask me as I loved that mode from Q1.
  • No steam workshop or any sort of mod support that I could see. I feel like this would have been an obvious choice to increase the life span of the game and give the loyal community an official avenue for creativity in the form of soundtrack replacements, custom levels and campaigns, model replacements, UI styles and more. Why not provide an ingame-mod menu to the community? In my opinion they really had no reason not to implement something like this.

TLOU Part 1 In-depth Review

Gameplay
☑ Hands couldn't stay away from the mouse & keyboard!
☐ Better than I had expected
☐ Average
☐ Underwhelming

Music
☑ Fantastic sounds and/ or tracks. The main menu theme and ending credits music still brings me close to tears.
☐ Impressive
☐ Average
☐ Better to just put on music.

PC Required
☐ A potato will suffice!
☐ Entry Level Gaming PC
☑ Mid to High level Gaming PC (For reference, I own an NVIDIA RTX 3060 and this game ran like butter apart from regularly lengthy loading screens and 1 crash.)

Story
☐ Barely explained / Minimal
☐ Generic and predictable
☐ Better than I expected
☑ Beyond fantastic. This is the kind of game where you will want to soak up the atmosphere and every single second of (In-engine) the cutscenes.

Difficulty
☐ Game Journalist friendly
☐ A fair challenge/ average for the genre
☑ Difficult (I played the this version of the game on Survivor difficulty and then on Grounded difficulty. These are NOT the recommended difficulties for first time players. I recommend playing the game on Hard for your first playthrough as Ammo , Melee Weapons and Crafting resources have the best balance between being abundant and being scarce.)
☐ Book anger therapy in advance

Replayability
☐ One and done
☑ Justifies a replay for any missing content/ collectibles. (Some of the combat/stealth encounters are addictive to replay as well. Especially the FINAL Combat encounter on the higher difficulties, you will need high levels of reflex, patience, hearing ability and accuracy if you want to beat it!

☐ Minor bugs, tolerable
☐ Bugs hinder immersion and overall enjoyment
☐ Ultimately a broken experience

Overall Rating: 9/10
What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said. It is a solid Jewel in the crown of Naughty Dog and Playstation as a whole. Despite being released 3 different times on 4 different platforms, the game still provides enough of a unique experience with each new release. This is because the game itself is changed enough to make it fresh to veterans like me and much more visually attractive to first time players.
While this remaster does NOT feature Multiplayer, it adds fresh features and superior visuals to the Main Story and the Left Behind Prequel chapter. Gameplay mechanics, AI Behaviour, UI options, Difficulty settings, Visuals and the feel of the movement itself are all noticeably improved and/or rehauled. The Human AI especially was much more cunning and unpredictable than what I remembered from the original PS3 version! I love being surprised in games, especially games that I have played many many times before.
However do NOT forget how disgustingly overpriced this game is! Charging full price for the story mode when the previous PS4 remaster was CHEAPER AND ALSO FEATURED MP, is an insult to gamers and loyal fans!

Pro’s:
  • Improved Lighting, Eye catching Environmental effects, Crisp SFX, Sexy Reflections, Increased Default draw distance and Higher Vegetation density all serve to make the world feel so much more alive and vibrant, cliche as that sounds. Some areas in particular, like riding Callus the Horse from Tommy's Dam were just absolutely breath taking, if your PC can handle it, your eyes will definitely be treated!
  • The subtle facial animations and movement transitional animations are the best I have ever seen in a game so far in my 10+ years of gaming. A slight facial expression like a rebellious smirk or a concerned-looking furrowed brow can really change the tone of conversations between characters and might even make you look at the cutscene itself differently!
  • Gameplay modifiers such as slower-time when aiming, Infinite ammo, One hit kills and the incredibly OP explosive arrows make replaying combat encounters on New Game Plus less repetitive, lengthy and also allow you to have more creativity than the base game would normally allow! (Uncharted LOTC had a similar "Gameplay Modifiers" Sub-menu that also unlocked after beating the game. I love this as it adds replay value! While it may not be enough reason to replay the entire game, it is still a welcome addition!)

Con’s:

  • Costs MORE than the original and features LESS content. (No MP) Why tf is this game and Uncharted LOTC missing their beloved Multiplayer modes??
  • Mechanics from the second game such as dodging melee attacks, going prone and crawling are not here, which is a real shame as melee combat in this game is honestly far too simple. After 1 remaster and 1 remake, I really expected the melee combat to get some much needed love!
  • Loading times take a long ass time, at least for me. Even replaying encounters or simply restarting checkpoints took minutes to load. This is surprising as Uncharted LOTC was the complete opposite and almost always loaded faster than the PS4 version did. Not a huge deal for me as I have a phone next to me (most of the time) so it didnt really ruin my fun.

Overall Rating: 6/10
TOB = The Old Blood/ The game I am currently reviewing.
TNO = The New Order (The sequel to this game.)

A pretty average prequel to The New Order. I honestly think this could have just been an Expansion sized DLC for TNO as it really isnt long enough to justify it being a seperate product. Also it doesnt deviate too far from TNO's core gameplay formula. However I still enjoyed this game and feel that it is a worthy prequel to TNO... However any Wolfenstein
game that released AFTER TOB is utterly terrible. (Feel free to fight me in the comments.)
Pro’s:
  • Excellent gunplay with a few new guns such as a grenade launcher pistol, Sniper Rifle and a juicy double barrel shotgun that was sorely missing in TNO.
  • The Environments that you play through are fantastic!
Graveyards, prisons, industrial docks, Old-Germanic villages, overgrown castle ruins and mysterious crypts are incredibly varied and are very different from the previous game. Each "Act" features its own style and mood, which I really appreciated.
  • Different enemy types from TNO in order to fit the game being set before it.
The enemy types are technically less advanced in terms of the lore, but the inclusion of new units such as the Snipers, Double-Barrel Shotgunners and Earlier models of the "Super-Soldaten" provide exciting, new challenges in the many combat encounters.
  • Music is solid as always. Especially the Main menu Theme which is itself a cover of TNO's main menu theme! (All hail Mick Gordon)
  • Interesting Final boss, definitely surprised me and was designed well enough. I enjoyed the gameplay, music and environment, but NOT the lore of this boss.
  • Features an Impressive Homage to the original Wolfenstein 3D in the form of 9 Levels taken from that game. This is great for older players and those that are interested in the Humble roots of this franchise (Before it turned to sh*t with the New Colossus, but thats another subject...)
Con’s:
  • Challenge mode is pure garbage and repetitive. This mode only seems to exist for the sole purpose of giving the game "extra" content aimed at players that have already finished TOB's story, want more of the same combat and like competing against their friends via steam leaderboards. I played a few of these stages and got bored pretty quickly. The challenge stages all feature the same objective, provide no surprises, no new maps, no unlockables, very little freedom of approach (Stealth or Loud) and dont differ enough from stage to stage. Dont forget that the leaderboards are full of cheaters too!
  • I may get some hate for this, but the Wolfenstein 3D throwback maps are not as polished as they should have been, They feel massive and far too spacious compared to how they were in Wolfenstein 3D.
Your run speed is very slow and as a result it makes backtracking and generally running between identical rooms a complete bore. The Enemy sprites and sound effects are faithfully recreated, but their AI is really wonky. It did not feel like it was translated properly from Wolf 3D. The (Retro) enemies feel far too easy to exploit and defeat with the movement and mechanics of TOB.
  • 9 Chapters at ~30 mins each = ~270 minutes = 4 and a half hours of Gameplay. (Assuming you are not hunting for secrets, easter eggs or achievement hunting.)
  • Collectibles are lazy garbage as the gold bars all look the SAME. What is the point of collecting hidden items in games if they dont even look interesting or give you a sufficient reward? TNO featured different kinds of gold items that were at least unique. It feels like the only incentive to obtain gold or other collectible items in this game is for the achievements.
  • The Fantasy theme contrasts badly with the biomechanical and quasi-sci-fi themes of the new order. I would rather that they stuck with one of these themes instead of trying them both. The story in TOB was not nearly as good or dramatic as TNO and felt like it was looking for any excuse to introduce stranger and stranger paranormal/ occult elements instead of creating a dramatic plot with likeable characters (Anya) and hateable villains (General Deathshead). Maybe this is just a matter of preference but the plot in this game started off well but gradually became more and more outlandish and just generally harder to follow and enjoy.
  • Stealth is still the exact same as it was in TNO and while most people will not mind that, I expected the devs to update it. It feels very simple and doesnt offer enough options to the player. Stealth also does not reward the player sufficiently for clearing a room of enemies without alerting them, which is strange as it is far more difficult and requires patience, timing and a little bit of strategy in comparison to just entering the room all guns blazing. I would have loved to have seen the following mechanics implemented into TOB's frustratingly barebones Stealth "system":
    - Dragging and Hiding Bodies. (BJ is strong enough to easily move an armoured body around)
    - Throwing items as distractions
    - Leaving traps like grenades on fallen enemies bodies.
    - More Silent Takedown varieties
    - Increased ammo or Armour dropped from enemies killed via stealth.
    - Visible Trajectory/ Arc when throwing a knife. (The drop from throwing knives in TNO and this game is atrocious)
    - Silencers for other guns apart from the puny pistol.
    - Ability to re-enter into stealth instead of enemies knowing where you are 24/7 after they are alerted.
    - Grenades and other explosions that happen far away from you do NOT alert enemies. (They should become -alert/agitated, but not to your position!)
    - Visibility indicators, especially for the darker areas in the game.
    - Areas that can be completely traversed/surpassed WITHOUT alerting enemies/combat.
I love TNO and I didn enjoy this game, but the Gunplay just makes the stealth look like a half baked afterthought...
If you enjoyed this review and agreed/disagreed with the things I mentioned, Feel free to comment below!

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

Pros:
- Great gunplay, being able to Dual wield assault rifles, pistols, shotguns and snipers never gets old. It drinks your ammo like no tomorrow, but its always worth it!
- Combat is open ended most of the time, you will often be able to stealth your way into an area without having the kill any enemies until you reach a specific part that alerts them anyway. I like being able to decide my approach to different encounters, as It lets me change up my playstyle. For example, killing commanders prevents them from radioing in reinforcements if/when they spot you. This kind of incentive is great as it rewards players for being methodical and not just mowing down every enemy they see. (Although you do plenty of that in the game too).
- Optional Stealth sections that reward patience and strategy
- Boss fights feels grandiose and epic, apart from the fact that the bosses themselves are designed to be stupidly damage spongey. (Mainly the late game bosses)
- You will visit varying environments such as sewers, museums, bridges, military compounds, asylums, prisons and even a lunar base!
- Many of the collectibles require using brainpower, not much, but enough to make you think and search the area around you for a way into that secret room that you can see through a grate!
- Weapons SFX are meaty and have varying effects on the bodies of your fallen enemies. Burn them with lasers, shred their skin with bullets, dismember their limbs with shotgun slugs, or even blast them into mist with rockets! It is as visually satisfying as it is audibly.
- The Music is kickass. Mick Gordon (Same aussie composer behind PREY and DOOM) has done a wonderful job again with the mechanical and bass heavy tracks. The Main Menu theme itself is a great prelude to the chaos awaiting you in this game.
- Environmental details such as motivational posters, overheard radio transmissions, statues, NPC conversations and newspaper clippings help to make the world feel alive and authentic, despite the often ridiculous story cutscenes.

Cons:
- HQ Missions are terrible and serve as fetch quests with bits of exposition thrown in to inform the player and keep them from getting bored in a non-combat area.
Many of the bosses are very bullet spongey, the last boss is horrible in this regard as you cant see how much health he has left. There is NO health bar or visible damage to indicate how much of the fight is left. This does not serve to motivate the player!
- Some ridiculous characters that have very forgettable Arcs. Fergus is generally a more interesting companion than Wyatt and simply offers more humour and charisma throughout the story.

- Stealth is generally a fun addition (Most of the time), but as a mechanic it is quite barebones, as you are unable to do the following:
1)Hide bodies.
2)Create distractions.
3)Hide under tables or other objects.
4)No visibility meter, if you are seen for more than 3 seconds, you are instantly spotted. (Far Cry anyone?)
5)Throwing knives suck ass as BJ cant seem to throw them more than 2 metres without a massive drop in their arc. How tf can someone as strong as BJ not throw a Combat knife properly!?
6)Leave and re-enter stealth. (Enemies stop being alerting and start splitting up and searching if they havent spotted you for a while.)
7)Takedown enemies from above, from inside of a vent, from below, from infront or the side of from the environment. This would have made the encounters so much more dynamic and fluid!
(More nit picks about stealth in my review of Wolfenstein the Old Blood.)

- The Alternate history setting is cool on the surface, but really serves to misrepresent the Nazi Ideology and focus on strange inventions created by mad scientists and exaggerated fascist attitudes. Reading the collectibles and notes around the game immersed me more into the world than the actual cutscenes and dialogue. If you are an american and this is your actual idea of how Nazis take over the world, I laugh at your stupidity and urge you to educate yourself.
- Picking Fergus or Wyatt serves ZERO purpose in the gameplay apart from ONE ASPECT. You will be able to obtain different collectible buffs/ upgrades to your character. Fergus gives you Armour upgrades in increments of 10 and Wyatt gives you Health upgrades in increments of 10. Is this really the most they could do to reflect your "choice" at the start of the game? (It also changes the second to last boss, but it is such a short encounter I dont personally consider it a big enough change.) I was very disapointed as I thought it would influence other story decisions or even level approaches. How wrong I was...
I really, really hate false and/or non-impactful choices in games, as it makes me feel like I have no agency.
- The perk system is great and while it does encourage replayability to unlock them all, it forces you to play in a specific way in order to unlock many of them. For example:
1) Grenade pouch ++ = Kill a commander with a grenade (This completely ruins stealth and alerts all nearby enemies)

2) Vaporize = Indirect kills with enemy grenades AKA shoot an enemy which is about to throw a live grenade. (This forces you to wait for their animation to start, which requires you to be out of their vision cone, which means you often cant see them throwing a grenade until its already at your feet.)

3) Battery + = Indirect Kills with the LKW Reflection Upgrade (This requires you to miss a direct shot with the LKW and hit the enemy with the ricochet of the laser beam. This means you have to either be very Lucky or typically just terrible at aiming. The best part of the LKW is to CHARGE UP shots and DIRECTLY shoot enemies, so asking players to bounce shots at them instead is stupid.)

Every other Perk has a fair requirement and is generally a fun challenge to complete. But the 3 listed above as just plain frustrating as most players will have to intentionally work towards them, playing in a different style to how they would normally. (This was the case for me anyway).

Overall Rating: 4/10
A classic side scrolling shoot em up that I remember fondly from the local arcade when I was younger, perhaps too fondly. This PC port didn't really impress me and the constant slowdowns made gunfights much more unfair than they already were. I like this game for its style, music and beautiful backgrounds, but hate it for the slowdowns, ridiculous enemy attacks, clearly cheated leaderboards and unavoidable and/or unpredictable projectiles. But more about these in the Pros and Cons below:

Pro’s:
  • Satisfying run and gun action that you can enjoy with an friend too, just like back at the arcade!
  • Music goes really well with the level design and the overall "Theme" of each stage.
  • (Most) enemy attacks are telegraphed sufficiently and give the player enough time to crouch or jump out of the way. However, Boss battles for the most part do NOT follow this fair logic.
  • Steam achievements, 13 of the 15 are a fair challenge, albeit being very generic. (Save X POWS, Kill X Soldiers, Complete stages, etc.) HOWEVER, 2 of them require you to learn more about the game's mechanics than most players will be bothered to do. (Like me!)
  • From my experience, Co-op mode works well and didn't seem to lag from my play through with a friend. (He was 1 country away)
Con’s:
  • Controller has a delayed input, this delay is often the reason you are killed as reflexes and timing are vital elements of this game!
  • Many of the Enemies projectiles can be unpredictable and some even have no visual indicator when they will be firing at you. The Rocket-Paratrooper soldiers are a perfect example. Bouncing bombs are also terrible as they can hit corners and proceed to bounce erratically, meaning that (Most of the time) you cannot predict their trajectory before they get close to you. Stupid Design!
  • This entire game is criminally short (6 missions totalling approx 5-10 minutes each). They really should have combined all of the MS games and put them into one game with updated settings, features and modifiers.
  • Frame drops/slowdowns, the more enemies on screen, the WORSE this will be. This is the number 1 complaint I have with this game as it has caused me to alt-f4 at least 6 times.
  • 4 "different" characters that provide only different appearances. Bit lazy in my opinion, as they all play exactly the same.
  • Completing all 6 stages without dying is almost impossible without an innate knowledge of every stage layout and enemy type. This would involve time that I am not willing to invest in the game.
  • The leaderboards are filled with cheaters, rendering them only useful to comparing your scores with friends... assuming they own the game.
  • Small gripe, but you have no ability to shoot diagonally at approaching enemies such as paratroopers or helicopters. You can ONLY shoot horizontally and vertically, while they CAN fire diagoinally. Why tf cant I shoot them back from the same angle??

This "Challenge Pack" provides Four Challenge Tombs (2 Combat, 1 Puzzle and 1 "Hazard Traversal"):
Leglion's Lair
Combat map with many large spike crusher traps which you can trigger and use to your advantage. Overall this combat arena doesn't really do anything different to the others, the only main difference here is that the arena is spider themed.
("Leglion" was an optional Boss battle in level 3: Spider Tomb)
Note that combat arena tombs are quite simple as they have none of the following features:
Remaining enemy counter, Wave counter or a method to view your past high scores whilst playing the map.
Puzzle Soup
The ONLY Puzzle map in this DLC and while it is good and definetely the trickiest of the DLC Puzzle tombs, it is still very short and doesn't introduce anything new like the Puzzles in the previous challenge pack (See "Blast Lifts" from my previous review). I enjoyed this Tomb apart from the final "puzzle" in the level.
Firefighters
The final Combat map! This one is by far the most difficult and takes place in a Lava Arena with Small Mazes, Rotating Flamethrowers and delayed activation fire tiles. The Traps in this Tomb are very deadly to the enemies as well as the player themselves. Moving around the map is a must, as the tankier enemies will crowd and corner you very quickly. Ensure that you have already maxed out Relics, Artifacts and collected all weapons before attempting this map! I enjoyed this map but feel like it throws far too many enemies at you too quickly without time to gather ammo/health. This lack of breathing room makes the map much more stressful than it should have been.
Lava Chompy
The final DLC map is a Hazard navigation tomb very similar to the "Jaws of Death" map from the main game. In fact, the boss from that level is reskinned here! (He has a very cool cracked molten lava style)
Difficulty-wise, this is easily the HARDEST tomb in the entire game (Including all the DLC). The clunky keyboard movement and ridiculous knockback from enemy projectiles will get you killed far MORE than the usual honest slip ups. I have no issues with any of the other maps in this game, but the difficulty spike in this tomb was absolutely insane. I recommend playing in Co-op, if you can be bothered. But I honestly would not recommend this final map to anyone who wants a fair and suitably challenging experience, as that is NOT what you will receive.
Overall Rating: 5/10 - Length of content = 18 to 30 minutes
Puzzle Soup and Firefighters were the highlights for me. The other two maps were either too generic or plain unfair to enjoy.
Overall, I would recommend this pack solely to enjoyers of the combat in this game, as puzzle-wise, this Challenge Pack sucks (Only 1 mediocre tomb).
If you enjoy Combat or Puzzles, I would recommend the following Challenge Packs:

COMBAT ARENAS

PUZZLE TOMBS

This "Challenge Pack" provides Four Challenge Tombs (2 Combat and 2 Puzzle):
Ill Valley
Combat map where you have to survive in an arena with multiple environmental hazards such as toxic pods, spikes, spike crushers and eventually, toxic gas surrounding the lower levels of the map.
I do enjoy the combat in this game, although I absolutely HATE the toxic pods and gas. The gas itself has no definitive "edge" to its harmful radius, meaning that in the process of escaping from enemies, you often run past the edge of a gas cloud which results in you losing your fully charged Artifact! I have had this happen countless times while playing this game and it is incredibly frustrating. Overall this is a well-made arena, however the abundance of toxic hazards made this more of a headache for me.
Note that combat arena tombs are quite simple as they have none of the following features:
Remaining enemy counter, Wave counter and a method to view your past high scores while playing the map.
Madness River
Another Combat map where you have to move around a large area with a river in the middle. This map also features health and ammo pickups that can ONLY be reached by a short traversal over a few spiky hazards. I like this as it doesn't just give HP and ammo for free to the player, they have to earn it. Overall a good map and a much better combat arena tomb than the previous map.
Mayan Mini-Golf
Puzzle map where you have to move a stone ball through the tomb, past multiple explosive toxic pods, over spike panels and on top of 3 massive spiky grinders. I hated this map as the ball moves faster than you, which means it can roll ahead and set off the explosive toxic pods before you have a chance to stop it. This results in a chain reaction of many toxic pods exploding the ball in some random direction and leaving gas clouds which slowly sap your hp. The rng in this challenge tomb alone is just ridiculous. Even while using a grenade launcher or RPG, I still had a lot of trouble directing the ball where It needed to go. A very straight forward puzzle, complicated by far too many hazards for the player to handle. Was not a fan of this tomb.
Blast Lifts
Another Puzzle map where you have to bomb these stone "lifts" whilst standing on them to ride them up and into the next areas. While this tomb was short (50 seconds to 1 minute for an experienced player), I appreciated that the puzzles where completely new as opposed to recycled mechanics from the main game. Definitely my favourite tomb in this DLC.

Overall Rating: 4/10 - Length of content = 10 to 20 minutes
A definite downgrade from challenge pack #1, the combat maps are simple, repetitive and don't offer much replay value, unless you want to reach the (optional) score objectives. In terms of puzzles, I only enjoyed the final tomb. (However the Tomb itself was very short and could have easily expanded on the new mechanic introduced.)

This "Challenge Pack" provides Four Challenge Tombs:
Double Crossings
Puzzle map where you have to use bombs and well timed spear throws to ride moving platforms along a horizontal rail to the exits.
Really enjoyed this one!
Tooth and Nail
Puzzle/ Hazard map where you have to run along delayed activation spike floor panels whilst using bombs or explosive guns (eg, RPG) to destroy a mechanism which then unlocks the exits.
Tricky but fun map which is made MUCH easier if using explosive guns. (I recommend the default grenade launcher as it uses the least ammo out of all the explosive guns.)
Temple Defense
"Wave Based" Combat map where you have to run around an arena killing enemies until you die once or complete all 3 score challenges. You will NEED to have the best gear and relics for this otherwise you will not last long. I enjoyed the arena layout, but the waves of enemies got repetitive after just a few minutes. Much better in coop.
Crushing Expectations
Hazard navigation map where you have to run straight, avoiding falling tiles, spike crushers and absolute rage inducing timing.
I hated this map as the difficulty spike compared to the other maps is ridiculous. The top score objective is 60k points, yet after at least 20 tries, 52k is the closest that I could get. Dying takes away a chunk of your points and you will die a LOT in this map. Terrible final map and easily the worst part of this DLC.

Overall Rating: 7/10 - Length of content = 8 to 14 minutes
(First 2 Maps were the highlights for me.)

- Are the weapons viable?
Only the chainsaw is worth using. The SMG and saw blade are garbage.

- Do they add anything unique to the game? (Eg. new mechanics or buffs)
- The Buggy skin HALVES FUEL CONSUMPTION while equipped.
- The "Gut Render" Chainsaw is a new weapon type which can easily mow down groups of biters with ease, HOWEVER this weapon uses unique ammo which must be crafted AND creates a lot of noise, spawning endless virals.

- What do I think of the outfit?
Not a fan of the "Dieselpunk" theme. But thats just my taste.

Overall rating: 5/10
An pretty average final bundle, which really deserved to be 10 times better. The chainsaw is nice and so is the buggy skin, but everything else is just terrible. the SMG in particular has the worst damage stat in the game.
I do enjoy using the chainsaw but (as it creates noise) It is really more of a fun novelty, one that wears off.

- Is the weapon any good?
Definetely not, the "SnowStorm" may be a unique grenade launcher type gun, however its Freezing AOE blast is laughably weak and really only serves to stun 2 to 8 enemies at a time. It is pointless to use on special infected AND its unique ammo is not cheap to craft, requiring Fluorescent Shrooms, which are a pain to find/ collect.

- Does it add anything unique to the game? (Eg. new mechanics or buffs)
A new type of gun with a special type of ammunition.

- What do I think of the outfit?
Sure, its a unique outfit, but it simply makes zero sense in Harran's warm climate. Why would anyone wear this unless they wanted the +20% XP?

Overall rating: 3/10
A Terrible Weapon, Average outfit but NO BUGGY SKIN. (Why tf not?? This brings down the Bundle's overall value and attractiveness.)
The ONLY saving grace of this Bundle is the special + 20% XP Ability that the "Winter Warrior" outfit provides. It is essential for making levelling up to Legend Level 250 less of an insane grind. Though I would never wear the outfit if it did not have this bonus.
