Low effort Nostalgia Bait
- Are the weapons viable?
To me, only the "Your First" Pipe was worth crafting and using.
It is worth noting that the Double-barreled "Hellbeast" shotgun is stated as having an increased fire ate, however a double barrel shotgun can obviously only fire twice before reloading and both of those shots are semi-automatic so what is the point of increasing its fire rate??
- Do they add anything unique to the game? (Eg. new mechanics or buffs)
Nope!
- What do I think of the outfit?
Meh, its a strange look.
I am really not a fan of those camel-toe shoes!
- Do the DLC Items add anything unique to the game? (eg. passive buffs)
Nope!
Overall rating: 4/10
A very disappointing bundle. For a DLC that is intended as a celebration of 5 Years of Dying Light, I was very disappointed.
The only saving grace of this bundle is the "Your first" Gas Pipe Melee Weapon. You are able to craft it from any 1 handed melee weapon and even from a Pickaxe. This is an important factor as the pickaxes in this game have a MUCH higher base damage value (Because they swing slower and use more stamina), as a result you can craft the melee weapon from any Pickaxe (Preferably Orange or Gold Tier) to get a massive damage boost, AND then also upgrade it with 3 x king/clicker mods to get even MORE damage!
As good as this DLC melee weapon is, it really is the only saving grace of this DLC.
Definitely give this one a miss unless you are a massive DL1 fan like myself and you simply must have all the content!
