Boring. Imagine first person Among Us with a darker tone, but you know who the enemy is and how to avoid the enemy in almost every situations. There is also obstacles, so idk, throw in an early 2000's game show into it, bc why not.

Seriously, even with friends, this game got boring quicker than it should. Not worth the price honestly. Cosmetics are kinda bleh, and the gameplay is similar to Outlast 1, just take most of the horror out of it. It is kind of creepy, but not scary at all. Replay Outlast 1 and you will know exactly what I mean.

Fun game, sad it only lasted 20 minutes. Cool wallpaper for my desktop though, until my character started coming through the escape pod and the lighting started shifting all over the place.

Seriously though, terribly optimized, runs like sh!t no matter the settings, and nothing loads. Like ok cool, let me boot up my PS2 and play a couple of games from 20+ years ago that load faster, while this game still doesn't load anything, and distorts the loading screen more and more. No thanks, I give up. Seems like a cool game, wish I could play it, but not worth more than an hour of setup before even playing 1 game/match whatever you want to call it.

Put on a 6gbs SSD, ran with a 3080TI and a Ryzen 9 3900X, with 64gb of RAM. If that cant run it, then it is one of 2 things. 1, it is either DESPERATE for power, or 2, it is another live service garbage game that has a server for 2 people max and the devs are filling up 6 of those spots.

Easy refund, which is kind of sad because the gameplay seems fun, I like the humor of this game, and I kind of want to play with some friends but whatever.

Rocksmith.... interesting.

They removed denuvo, but they got too lazy to show it. With denuvo, Rocksmith2014.exe is 64.37 MiB. Now, however, Rocksmith2014.exe is 11.08 MiB now. Meaning no more denuvo. There are also some... lets say sailors that have found that the game no longer contains denuvo's usual antics causing so many of its usual problems.

As for the gameplay, I feel that they started in the right direction, but they kept ruining it along the way. Added denuvo, remove purchasable songs, essentially block off the community, ADD DENUVO, and kept anything custom as far away as they could. I know some denuvo suckers will probably scream something like "DENUVO CAUSES NO ISSUES" but my guy, even if thats true, it caused issues in THIS game.

ANYWAYS, it now runs better on my machine, Windows 10 is happier with the game, and there is far less input lag now.

It basically started like guitar hero, but with a real guitar. Great! Then fought the community, using denuvo (I promise Ill stop mentioning it now), but now they kind of are just giving up on this game which actually makes it great now. Like NOW is the time to buy it. You can MOD it. You have been able to for a little while now I guess, but they have finally just let it go fully, so now its in OUR hands, now theirs. We can "own this game" rather than "get used to not owning your own game" as ubisoft puts it. Which means this game is definitely late to the party, but it is really fun.

I really urge you to check out the custom songs rather than pay $2,000+ for all the songs. Save you some money that way. There are also some awesome songs people have made.

Great port. My biggest complaint, is just that though. It is a port, and has a few of the usual porting issues when taking such an old game onto different systems.

It runs great, and has all the story accept those weird monkey levels and the multiplayer. Everything else seems to be here from the original just as it released in 2004. Which is what they advertised. Full story, all weapons, and so far, all of the camos. It does also use the X-Box button mapping with my controller, which I think is a little easier from the PS2 controls. Also there are mods now.

On to my complaints though, PC controls are some of the worst I have ever seen. I thought they would try to make it similar to MGS5 but I was very wrong. Mouse movement almost is non-existent, so it is like playing without camera movement in some ares. The Pain boss fight was almost impossible with the jittery camera due to the controls and the super slow camera thanks to the mouse. These issues go away right when I plug in my controller too, so I know it is keyboard and mouse controls.
There is kind of a fix for that though, the game mapped the entire right half of the keyboard! J, K., L, and I are for camera movement, N is to aim down sights, U is shoot/attack, H is CQC and M is to zoom in with snipers. Yeah... I am sure you can see my complaint now, weird controls. Pretty hard to use both sides of the keyboard and the mouse at the same time too, so either you move your hands all over trying to use both, or you learn the keyboard controls, and forget the mouse entirely.
There are also some small graphical glitches from time to time. Mostly in cutscenes so not too often in gameplay itself. The one I can remember the most is sometimes snake will have a small black line on his cheek, and The End's parrot will have a black line in the middle of its chest. Ears are a little weird too, more low res than the original PS2 release. These graphical glitches are minor, so not something I can really complain about all that much.

I won a race in last place. I just became in 1st randomly, idk who cares, why not switch every now and again just bc good coding, I guess??? You can also lose this way too, so YAY, RNG RACING GAME!

Game didnt read friends list, on both steam and ubisoft, also with connection issues.

Game decides when you can and cannot move. Why would you need to accelerate in a racing game?

Stupid game with even worse mechanics. I actually am angry I wasted like 20 minutes playing this crap. This garbage almost made me think of downloading destiny 2 and spending a 40 hour work week just to get a new pair of shoes that are worse than the ones I started the game with in the retirement home of fps shooters.

Early Access Review
New Update. Basically nothing has changed so let me keep leaving this hear:

Lets start with the bugs I guess, starting off from best to worst bugs:
(Sadly this also if from least to most likely as well, this game has gotten more stable, it just hasn't actually fixed anything)

The hit play and nothing happens bug. You have to re-download the game now to fix it! Best part is, THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS FIX IT!

This comes along with the sometimes occurring "f*ck your textures" bug, which is just the game not wanting to load your textures properly.

Multiplayer is almost completely unplayable. Not sure whats going on. Getting around 1 to 12 updates a day, with no patch notes or version changes, yet still ping and connection issues.

You can just randomly get a positive for hacking, voiding your entire match!

Voice chat bugs. You can play single player and randomly get people chatting with you. Real players, sometimes they hear you, sometimes not. Such a weird one.

This brings another, where you can hear people after leaving a game with them. Like you can hear them for the next few matches. Super strange.

You can usually hold up to 3 items. That's how the game works, and tbh that's ok.
BUT a new bug makes it to where sometimes you have NO items. Sometimes 1, but usually none.

Ghosts have had ALL pieces of evidence on them, multiple times now, so your left with literally no way to know which ghost it is. Your better off just opening the car door, guessing and leaving the match.
Defeats the entire point of the game.

Crucifixes don't work. Just period. Salt kind of works now but usually doesn't. Candles have issues too, and the spirit box as a whole is broken (even more so now, you will hear ghosts talk to you and they shouldn't be), same with dots, thermometer, and EMF now. Yep, almost everything is just broke.

Hiding places don't actually hide you. The ghost hunts, someone dies. That's it. The devs found all the real hiding spots and "patched" the game by making the ghost see every inch of the house, sometimes even outside the house! Yes, sometimes you can die outside the house, not even in the doorway or close to a wall, just outside the house.

This next part is mostly gripes, but kind of bugs too:

You can also instantly die. No horror, no suspense, no warning even, just dying instantly. Kind of like watching Final Destination and wondering why death doesn't just raise the main characters blood pressure or something, instead of making some weird rube golberg machine, or like if in Saw he just killed everyone instead of knocking them out to making some weird tests for them to potentially "see the error in their ways" or whatever. It kind of ruins the whole "HORROR" aspect. Like if FNAF was in a nice clean restaraunt in daytime and the power to the whole place wasn't running off an iphone 6 battery.

This can happen before you even finish opening the front door! This has happened to me more than a few times now. Even on the lower difficulties with prep time and grace periods. Tired of this games bugs already, and Im tired of getting in a game and dying before I can even get in the building to do anything.

The fix for this is to give yourself the dice roll of prep time. This also absolutely destroys your reward!

Speaking of the reward, you can play on the hardest difficulty, get all the optional objectives and still end up with only $15. For perspective, that is not even enough for a glowstick in game. I mean seriously, the minimum wage has to be like $10,000 an hour.

They also made items level locked. Like, really? For COD, it makes sense, but this? Its dumb. You need to be level 13 just to be capable of buying a tier 2 video camera, or level 7 for a flashlight (honestly these are wrong, it is actually worse now!). Like seriously? Its a flashlight, you hit one button. Who is that stupid? You have to level up to shop at Harbor Freight rather than the Dollar Store? Apparently your playable character. Now go hunt a ghost for them to get smarter. Is the character level actually their IQ? Maybe the developers' who thought this would be a good idea? Whats worse is I like the tier mechanic of the items, but seriously this level locked garbage is really bad.

Normally, I would end it there at a whopping score of maybe 2/10. Its a good bare bone beta I guess, or tech demo, but it feels kind of pointless. AND, this isn't normal...

You see, the devs kept saying over and over, "join our discord for support", so I did just that, and was argued with quite a lot in discord (by devs), until the devs got angry enough to literally kick me. I wasn't even that bad, I actually wanted some of these bugs to get fixed, because this game could be nice and fun like the previous versions. I was willing to give some useful feedback and possibly get some help with some of these issues, at the very least have them acknowledge that there are some bugs that NEED fixing.
Naw, devs don't care. It actually moved the feeling of this game from disappointing to completely pathetic.

This dropped my score to the nice IGN certified 0/10. If it wasn't for my buddy, I wouldn't have bothered try this game again. Really, it hasn't changed almost at all in the 2 years or so since I played last. Really they added more maps and haven't even fixed the old ones.

Single Player: Not bad, open world is alright but not always beautiful, kinda hard on legendary, but pretty fun. There is a few missing and new guns. Not sure why. Some new guns are super cool, some suck so bad I am not sure how they got put into the game. Story is kind of bland, but whatever, its gameplay anyone cares about at this point.

New multiplayer update has made single player take a lot longer to load. sometimes its instant. Like before the tips even load onto the loading screen. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes. No idea why. I have a decent computer, and I am above the recommended specs, but even starting the game takes about 5 minutes anymore.

Multiplayer: I can sum this one up with 3 words: pure damage inconsistency

The only plus: its free

But for the details.....

Missing features. Weird textures and unloaded LODs at random points. Finally got playlists, after like 2 years. Bad progression system is hard to even say as it really isn't a progression system at all, because its just garbage challenges you have to complete, like "get 50 headshots with the pistol at 100+ meters in distance" . And yes, these challenges are almost always so awful and oddly specific its like they didn't even try. Not to mention you have to buy the season pass to have anything to progress towards. You literally have to buy a feature that should be in the game normally. Its honestly kind of sad.

This multiplayer is basically a broken promise in every single way possible. They barely got custom maps like a few months ago, and I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW! They are already dead, super glitchy and in some cases just completely broken.

Also, the way the game works is the server and your computer are 2 separate instances entirely. This means the server registers the game, and your computer registers the game too. Basically, you can full on kill a guy, get the kill, kill someone else, and all of a sudden die randomly. Turns out the server registered the first guy hitting you instead, and corrected your computer by killing you randomly. The kills will stay the same on your side until you load into the menu. This can also remove your challenges that are sometimes super hard to complete too, so pretty annoying when the game says you completed a challenge and you actually didn't.

Don't worry though, if you want to re-roll any hard to complete challenges, you can pay real money for it!

I had a match where I had over 50 headshot kills from a single person who just didn't die even though I kept shooting him in the head (which I just thought he was cheating honestly), and once in the menus, the kills no longer existed and it turns out the server read that I had not killed the other guy a single time. Also had a few friends confirm their kills were off in their menus to what the server was reading for the rest of us.

There are also armor cores. BOY OH BOY HERE WE GO! These are basically playable characters. You can have up to maybe like 10 or something like that now.

So, lets say you unlock the master chief leg armor. You want to use it with a really cool chest plate you have. One big problem though. You don't have these unlocked on the same armor core(character). What this means, is if you bought the master chief legs, you have to buy them again for the correct "character" in order to use them together, and if you earned it, well you will have to earn them again for the right armor core if you want to use them both together.

The newest update also fixed this issue! BUT... only with helmets. Like seriously, at this point, what the hell? It is like leaving a dollar to someone in your will, it shows you remembered them, you just didn't care enough to give them anything really useful or cool.

Believe me when I say, there are a LOT of cosmetic items in this game as well. Most colors are not unlockables too, and they come as set patterns, you cant change them whenever to whatever like the previous games.

This actually brings up the other annoyance I have with this game. Timed items. Not items that you only have for so long, but items you can only unlock/buy within a certain amount of time. Lets take the cat ears for example. Want some cat ears? TOO LATE! You could only buy them when season one was happening. You can still preview it, but you can no longer buy it. Yes, it was a purchase only item. something like $5.00 for each core. IN FACT, there is a preview for this item in other armor cores that you could only get after the season 1 event. Why? I dont know. You still have to download these items, and there are quite a bit of them too. So you download them, cannot buy them, and cannot earn them. No reason why so many items were even included in this game in the first place honestly.

Honestly, if you have played classic halo games, this will be the biggest disappointment for you. Ironing out gameplay and performance like every game does, but its already aging in looks, has a poor time rendering in some things, poor multiplayer and boring story are just sad to see. Then the greedy micro transactions, pathetic battle passes, missing weapons and just soullessness of the game as a whole. It has so much to it and it still feels lifeless. Like no love has gone into it. Depressing.

Awful, AI. game is almost unbeatable just with the AI!

Great potential and good with friends, but playing single player, or even considering having a single bot on your team, awful game. Bots will literally just watch you die. I go.t healed a single time by any bots. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOSS. I DIED because the bot decided to heal me, and I couldn't move out of the way. I could write better AI with a 1970s calculator!

The mobile version of the game is still great to this day, even with it being a total cash grab, but this version is still somehow worse.

You are far less likely to be given any good loot, and you always have to trade that loot to get any items, and you are EVEN LESS LIKELY to get anything good from those chests. Its almost a complete joke, but honestly, this part of the game is something I could push through....

This one is the fun one. Hackers everywhere. The game is almost unplayable. Buddy and me were playing and got sniped through 2 buildings. What does that really mean? I mean through the WALLS of 2 buildings. Aimbots, infinite range on any weapons, invisibility, bullets that can pass through almost anything, Ive seen it all. They play fairly smart, they dont make it obvious they are cheating, usually using 1 or 2 cheats at a time to avoid being too obvious, but it is still obvious if you know what to look for.

Last major complaint, no ranking. A lot of people wonder what I mean, but lets take a look at the mobile version of the game. Hardcore, everyday players that grind away everything from the game will have to play against other hardcore everyday players. The new players, get to play against other new players. The better you do, the faster you move up the ranks, the better opponents you get. Not this version tho. First game, some level 500 idiot drops, picks up a sniper, kills you and your teammates before any of you can even cut off your parachute. I like the idea, but the execution is awful. Mobile version did 100x better.
