After 900+ hours and sticking with this game since launch, I can officially say that it is better than it was at launch.

Sure, there are still some glaring issues, like window banners not being paintable on race cars or the AI being worse than ever before. But underneath those issues, there is a solid foundation for a racing game that oozes the Forza feel, like FM6, FM7, and FM4 had.

Yes, the career mode is nowhere near as engaging as FM1 to FM4, but T10 was nice enough to let players bypass most of that by making cars earnable through certain multiplayer events.

Car-wise, we’re still not at the golden era that was FM4, in my opinion. We’ve gotten some really nice cars, and the addition of classic Trans Am cars lately has been fantastic to see. Getting modern GT cars has also been nice. However, there is still a strong lack of lower-class "NPC" cars, such as base model city cars that FM4 offered, like the Mitsubishi Colt, Chevy Spark, etc.

There is also a rather annoying and ongoing issue with T10 giving us just one car from specific classes of race cars. For example, the Bentley Speed 8 is missing every single competitor it had in real life, and the R33 JGTC car was added but has absolutely zero competitors.

Track-wise, we’re still not perfectly there. There are still missing tracks from previous games that really should have been there at launch. However, the addition of certain tracks over the past few updates has been nice. I really loved seeing Sunset back in a modern Forza title, and it has very quickly become my favorite racing track in Forza once again.

In terms of actual physics, handling, and performance, I personally think T10 has sorted out a good chunk of the issues I had with FM6-7’s tire model. Race tires now behave more like real-life race tires than they did in FM6-7 and actually have grip for once. It's still not perfect, but it’s better than it was in previous titles.

In terms of performance, I think it’s 100% better than it was at launch. With a 2070 RTX and an i7 9700K, I have no issues playing this game on high settings with 100+ FPS.

For multiplayer, it’s still a complete mess, just like how it was in previous titles. It’s still filled with immature players who ram you over the slightest bumps, and the META usage of cars is at an all-time high, with people just using the most broken, busted, OP cars ever to win against players who just want to relax.

There are leagues you can join, but most of them aren’t worth it.

To me, this game isn’t a 10/10, but an easy 5/10. It's still worth buying, in my opinion, but only on sale and never at full price.
