Chernobylite does an excellent job at creating an eerie and haunting atmosphere, the horror element of the game is not that in-your-face, but more subtle in a way that always keeps you on your toes. The setting obviously plays the biggest role in it, as you play as Igor, a former nuclear scientist at the Chernobyl Power Plant, who returns to Pripyat, 30 years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, searching for his missing wife and what has happened to her. The story is pretty well told, easy to understand, with some twists and turns, and not overly complicated.
You can choose the audio language between English or Russian with English subs, Russian would be preferred but, while more immersive, it might make it more difficult to focus on the story and dialogues.

The world recreation, and overall attention to detail paired with the excellent sound design make for an amazingly immersive experience and quite fun exploration of the world. Visually, it is absolutely stunning and flashes out nicely the very detailed environments.

The gameplay is decent, I'd say this is where it underdelivers the most. I'd say they tried to put a bit of everything in the game, but it all came out very simplified and half-baked. You have base building and crafting, but there's not much you can do and it's all very simple. You have resources, food and base stats to manage, but they will never be a real problem as you'll always have enough resources to go around if you play the game on normal difficulty at least. The good part here is that you can set your survival, combat, and management difficulties separately from one another.
The world exploration is not a fully open world as you'd expect, it plays on a day-to-day system, every day starting in your base, where you can make upgrades, and customize your place and when you are ready to get into the world, you select a quest you want to take on for that day. The world is divided into a few preset and limited locations that you'll revisit a bunch of times. Every quest takes place in one of these locations, and you are free to explore and gather resources in that set place until you are done and want to get back to your base. Gunplay is a bit clunky but you get used to it, you don't really want to use your guns when not needed anyway, as the game will remind you that Igor is not a killer, and going with a stealth approach to everything is preferable.
As the story evolves, different actions and decisions will affect your relationships with the characters in your team. Almost always, it will be pretty obvious how each decision will affect your relationship with a given character. Usually, your decisions will impact one character in a positive manner, and another in a negative one. It's mostly straightforward although not everyone will make sense, which is a bit frustrating.

In conclusion, I think you should play this game for the story, maybe for the survival RPG elements if you want a simple one, but definitely play it for the flashed-out world and to explore the detailed, hyper-realistic recreation of Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone.

It is a wonderful game, with a pretty good story, gorgeous art style with pretty basic gameplay as would be expected from a point-and-clicker.
You play as Tove, a big sister, going on an adventure in a magical and unknown realm in the hopes of rescuing your brother who was abducted by a monster. Exploring, solving many different puzzles, and meeting lots of interesting characters that you'll help and will help you on your journey.
The puzzles aren't few, but they are not complicated at all, with one exception that requires you to know a bit of Scandinavian folklore to figure out.
Fair warning, you should be used to these kinds of games and have patience because there is a lot of backtracking and walking back and forth. So if you get bored or annoyed easily by that, this might not be the game for you. Otherwise, I completely recommend it to anyone looking for a chill and relaxing time.

Great stealth game overall. I played it mainly for the gameplay, and I had a good time. Mechanics are well-implemented, stealth movement and kills feel great, objectives can be completed in multiple ways, they are not streamlined from A to B. There are only 5 main quests, so the game can be quite short if you only focus on the main objectives, however, there are a few side mini-quests, and exploring your surroundings is quite nice, as the world is pretty nicely built and very detailed. Graphics, although a bit dated, still look really good. As far as the story goes, I can't say much about it, since it's pretty tightly related to the other games, and I have not played through them yet, unfortunately. If you are a fan of the previous games, I'm pretty certain you'll be satisfied with it. There are many written pages, stories and journals as well if you want to dive deeper into the city environment and people's stories.
As someone who went into this game strictly for the stealth gameplay, having known nothing at all about the story, I was left satisfied with it and I want to eventually play the first games as well.

Sony, I'm begging you, bring Forbidden West on PC.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an extraordinaire game in almost every aspect, although not perfect, it's not far from perfect.

Quick tip before the review: Ultra-hard is a whole lot easier after you discover just how OP freezing, especially the Icerail weapon, is. So make sure to finish the Banuk quest-line to get the special upgraded weapons before starting the NG+. If you intend on completing the achievements, you'll do it anyway.

The story shines the most, it's immersive, very well written, and executed, and an absolute pleasure to discover more and more about the world and what happened to the past civilization, and how the world got to that point.
Through different collectible items, you get glimpses of the past and audio recordings from the now-extinct civilization. A civilization that's just a few tens of years into the future from our present, but a few hundred years into the past in the game's timeline. You play as an outcast of your tribe, without any knowledge as to why that is, you'll go on a journey to find out why that is, as well as search what happened to the past world, how and why it happened, and how to stop it from happening again. Furthermore, there are a lot of readable bits of story and context if you want to dive deeper into it.

The gameplay and combat are good overall, but they do have some negatives. The weapon diversity is welcomed and every different one is good in its own way, You'll find a use for each one and, although you'll probably choose one as your main weapon, you'll get some use out of the rest as well. However, with the equipment also comes the biggest minus, all of your weapons and outfits, with a few late-game exceptions, are bought from merchants. Not rewarded from quests, or found exploring the world. This makes quests feel less rewarding, and you'll have the best possible equipment rather quickly.
You have options in the gameplay style you can adopt, playing silently and trying to take out enemies one by one without being spotted, overwriting machines and letting them do the fighting for you, or just simply going ham and getting the job done the old-fashioned way. There is no benefit to choosing one over the other, so you'll end up going for the latter in most cases. And one last thing, mount control is awful, fortunately, fast travel is easy and the points are plenty and close to most places.

When it comes to visuals, this game outshines even some brand-new games, it's absolutely stunning, and having a photo mode with time control is amazing for any screenshot lover. I'll leave my two favorite ones here.

One minus that the photo mode has unfortunately, is that you can't disable/control the clouds in any way, so you either get lucky with them or wait a few minutes for them to move to a good spot.

Later Edit for the Frozen Wilds Expansion:
The expansion is wonderful as well, with a full-fledged amazing different story, great winter visuals, and new enemies and weapons.

All in all, it is an exceptional game in my opinion and Aloy has easily become one of my favorite game protagonists.

Rest in peace Lance Reddick.

It has the obligatory Doctor Who and TARDIS reference that every time-traveling game should have, so it's good!

Hue is a wonderful, color-coded puzzle platformer. Very well-made, and feels like a game made with passion. The puzzles and level design are well-thought, on almost no part was I forced to restart the level if I made some mistake. And whilst the color-changing mechanic is nothing new, this game does it better than any other I've seen.
Platforming and character control feel good, I played with a keyboard and mouse, and while I'd recommend you use a controller, it's very much playable without one as well. The soundtrack is really nice, doesn't feel repetitive, and it never becomes annoying in any way. There's also a nice story element to it, and here I want to give some huge props to the voice actress, Anna Acton. There are some small bits of story monologue, and while it may not seem like a big deal, for me personally, she made the game feel so much more sensible.
If there is one thing I'd personally complain about, there's one type of collectible, which only matter for the achievement, the issue is, some of them are locked behind walls that you can only get past after you unlock another color. This forces you to replay most levels of every chapter later on just to get the collectible if you want the achievement. It's not a big deal, however, since you'll get through them pretty easily the second time.

Omno is a wholesome, cute, and truly relaxing puzzle game. Not a hard one at all, but a satisfying one nevertheless. Pretty short in length, and shouldn't take anyone more than 4-5 hours from start to finish. The puzzles are pretty simple, but not boring to do. Very well-made and worth a few hours of your time for sure if you are looking for something just to chill and enjoy your time. And I have to mention the soundtrack, which is amazing!

This is a brilliant game! The story revolves around an institution that takes care of supernatural anomalies, very much like the SCP Foundation if you will. The story as a whole is great, very engaging, and with multiple side plots. If you focus only on what's presented to you directly through cinematics and discussions, you'll still have a great understanding of it and will enjoy it very much. However, there are also lots and lots of collectibles, to listen to, watch, and especially read through, and all of these expand the story and the universe a lot more and give context to many of the things you'll find.
It is a part of the Alan Wake universe and it really feels like it. There are quite a few references to the events that take place in the game and even some little stories that expand on Alan Wake's story. Any fan of Wake's games will be really pleased with finding these bits.

Graphicly, it is what you'd expect from a fairly recent game. It looks great and the lightning is very well made in my opinion, although some opinions may differ here. There is one issue with texture loading for close objects sometimes, they load a little bit slow, and for a brief moment, they are low rez. It really isn't a big issue, however, some people may be taken out by this, and if that's the case, the issue can be solved pretty easily with a dev. approved mod. Make sure to check on the game's guides for this and also a way to easily get the content that was console exclusive. It's just a really simple change to the hex code.

Gameplay-wise, this game is magnificent. Has some really nice mechanics that feel amazing to use, levitation is fun and very well made, and all the other powers the protagonist unlocks are easy to use and actually very useful compared to some other games where you'll use one thing once and then never again.
The weapons feel good and impactful, although I couldn't give much expertise on this since I was too big of a fan of the basic pistol and I almost entirely used that, it's just a matter of preference really.
The navigation through the levels may seem really confusing at first, and sometimes it really is, but as soon as you figure it out, it becomes way easier. The main thing to keep in mind is to make use of signs. You'll see signs that point toward specific places scattered everywhere, and these make it way easier for you to figure out what's where and how to get to it.

And for any completionists out there, the game is fairly easy to 100%, it just depends on how much you enjoy doing it. Most achievements are pretty straightforward, and for the few that are more ambiguous, the guides are decent at explaining them. The achievements for The Foundation DLC are a bit more tedious, but nothing too bad. There are no difficulty achievements since there are no multiple difficulty options.

For a 30-minute-long Visual Novel, this game gives some strong punches right in the feels.
On the surface, the game is about going to the store to buy some milk, underneath it's a short story about mental health and the protagonist's degrading mental state.
