Many say that this game is just DOOM, but on rhythm, and while that is a fitting description, it's really underselling it because it's better than just that.

The gameplay is great, all weapons feel great to use. If you're not much into rhythm games, shooting on beat might take a bit of getting used to, but when you do get into the rhythm, each shot is incredibly satisfying. The visuals are on point, and the story is simple but not at all bad. And although pretty short, it has good replayability potential and, as a bonus, a decent enough roguelike game mode.

Most importantly, though, the soundtrack and songs are incredible. You're basically buying an amazing Metal album, featuring a bunch of incredible artists (Tatiana Shmayluk, Serj Tankian, Alissa White-Gluz, to mention just a few), and along with it, you get a free Rhythm-Shooter game to enjoy with it. And to top it off, Troy Baker as the narrator. Overall, Metal: Hellsinger is an auditory feast with great, satisfying gameplay to accompany it.

Fish love me, shinies hate me.
How can I report the rat for market manipulation? There's no way he only had one legendary potion on stock in 100 hours.

Incredible blend of roguelike dungeon crawling, base building and management. The combat is fun and quite diverse, although it might take a bit of getting used to if you're not using a controller. Overall, it is fluent, responsive, and really satisfying. Difficulty balance is very on point for the most part, I did find some of the mini bosses to be more annoying and difficult than any of the big bosses, but never unfair or unreasonably difficult compared to the other enemies. The game progression feels natural, and you never really have to stop and wonder what your next objective is supposed to be.
Base management is also very well done, just tedious enough to make you want to care for and improve your cult and followers, but it never becomes too much of a headache.
The soundtrack is also fantastic, just so damn good and fits so well, I don't think I could ever get tiered of it while playing. River Boy left us something incredible to be remembered by, an absolute GOAT.
If I have one complaint about it is that towards the end, if you are going for full achievements, it starts feeling a bit grindy but overall, an excellent game, highly recommendable to any roguelike fan, and even to anyone who's not very familiar with the genre and would like something that's not really difficult, with plenty of content to offer while not feeling endless.

Overall a good DLC with some flaws. The environments look great, the story is really solid, the side characters are very charismatic and nice to interact with and get to know, and it's just really nice to have a protagonist who says stuff.
The gameplay is obviously mostly the same, you do get two new weapons though that are an absolute pleasure to use.
The DLC does, unfortunately, suffer from a lack of polish here and there, many times the movement felt janky, randomly sliding a lot when running, or areas that are supposed to be accessible but are weirdly blocked by random objects or weird invisible walls (of which there are many). That said, I can't recall anything that I couldn't get passed with a bit of random jumping and crouching. One other thing that was quite frustrating was the mutant boss of the chapter, which is just uninteresting, annoying to deal with, and the fights simply drag on for too long. Thankfully, it's not the focus of the story.

Chill, creative, and nice to play with something in the background.
The "Buy every sticker" achievement is insanely grindy.
What I don't understand is: why do all my clients think I'm their unpaid psychologist? I don't care about your dad's boyfriend, I'm just selling stickers here.

Exodus is an absolute banger of a continuation of the original games. While much different in many aspects, it still keeps its unique Metro feel while offering more freedom to explore the world and expanding on world-building, with a much-needed graphical improvement so we can now really admire just how repulsive the mutants are.

While with the old games we were used, for the most part, to a very linear and streamlined gameplay style, this time around we get a semi-open world game. As we leave the metro and Moscow altogether and get on a very long trip by train, we stop along the way in a few big places, each very different from the others, places that are free to explore and scavenge.
Most gameplay mechanics are still what we were used to already but with much-welcomed improvements. We no longer have to buy equipment and consumables, however, we now get to craft our consumables and manage the two kinds of resources. You can modify your weapons on the fly now, wherever you are, and any weapon upgrade you find is now permanently added to your collection to use at your discretion.

Storywise, this was probably my favorite of the 3. I really liked the previous plots, I felt a lot more attached and immersed in the community/family building and human-centered journey story than the metro plotline or the rather more mutant-centered story of the first two games. Seeing and exploring more of the post-apocalyptic world was one of my favorite things about the game, learning about how communities outside the metro survived and developed, each different from the other was quite nice. The moral points are still a thing, but there are way fewer of them, and much more intuitive, while in the previous games, I was always slightly conscious of them, this time I didn't give them much thought and I've still got most of them by just playing as I normally would.

On the technical side, I can't say I've really experienced any major issues, though that should be expected 6 years after release. I've only experienced one random game crash in 30 hours, and that was toward the end of the game, which was no big deal anyway thanks to the frequent autosaves and quick save, I do wish however that more manual saves could've been a thing. One other minor thing would be that the game never launches in fullscreen as it should, but that's quickly fixed by alt+tabing out and back it to the game once you get to the main menu.

Incredibly gorgeous game, super immersive with an amazing atmosphere that's both calming and relaxing as well as purely terrifying at the same time, especially if you have a fear of the deep sea, even without that, whenever I'd have to go deeper into the darkness of the water, I felt my heart sink as well. There are no complex mechanics or challenging components to the game, but it's totally worth playing purely for the satisfying experience, breathtaking visuals, and beautiful soundtrack. It's also pretty short at around 2 hours, maybe double that if you're going for all the achievements, so it doesn't really have time to start feeling boring or a drag to keep playing.
Also, even though the game strongly recommends playing with a controller, if you don't own one or don't want to play with one, the mouse and keyboard controls are perfectly fine, and you should have no issue playing the game without a controller.

Beautiful perception and perspective puzzle game that's not very difficult but definitely worth giving a try.
While the solutions to each level are not hard and mostly intuitive, the mechanics of the game are fun and interesting. Each level has its own new mechanic to try and work with, some more creative or mindbending, and others more simple and straightforward. The levels are pretty small for the most part so they are very much worth exploring fully as the game is rich with easter eggs. The story isn't much to write home about, it's mostly just there for the sake of it. You find bits of it through written and audio journal entries of people from the past, and reminiscences of your pettable virtual cat companion, but it's certainly not so bad you need to turn the audio off as I've read some others say, not only is that take straight-up childish and stupid, but the amount of voiced dialogue is too little to begin with for any reasonable person to be bothered by.
I've not experienced any technical issues except for sometimes, after opening the steam overlay, the mouse sensitivity would randomly become extremely slow for no particular reason and the only way to fix it is to restart the game. However, this isn't an issue just with this game in particular, but one that has to do with the Unity engine as it happens in other games made in Unity.

Half Dead 2 is, unfortunately, a fully dead game. The concept has great potential and can be fun playing with friends, but that's really it. The content is pretty limited, you'll see and learn everything there is to see and learn in less than two hours, playing it SP is pretty boring and online matchmaking is completely empty, so don't get this if you don't have others to play it with. Achievements can be done alone, pretty easily even, but quite grindy and boring.
