Graphics are too washy for a game that was released in 2013. Also, the player model's FoV is way too close to the ground, making it extremely hard to solve some of the puzzles and keep an overview of your surroundings. The voice acting is pretty bad as well, but that is the least of the issues which downgrade this game's fun factor...

For all that is being topped by the sickening head bobbing that can only be deactivated if you know where to look (the user-specific configs are located on C:, not in the Steam game's folder and you need to find the correct file, too). Speaking of head bobbing, why do developers still implement that crap into their games when it is NOT realistic at all? (In reality, your eyes don't pop up and down in your head, you move as a whole which does not cause motion sickness.)

Quite disappointed in what the developers did with the Unreal Engine. Look at Dark Messiah, for instance. That is how a technically well developed game plays (and that game is about a decade older). You move with ease and a feel of realism. No such thing here, very laggy feel and frustrating.

P.S. After testing the multiplayer, which is a non-strategic, monotonous "Kill, kill, kill" in the so-advertised co-op mode (my friend had to google in order to find out what game mode was supposed to be the co-op one), I have to say: Don't. Buy. Period.

Dryspace, I couldn't agree more. I was devestated that the multi-player of Dark Messiah did so badly, too! There were barely any players online -- it could have become one of the greatest multi-player experiences of all time because of the realistic feel of the use of weaponry (especially the bow). But I guess it was too much of a challenge for many (my best friend kept complaining about it while I was quite intrigued). It also might have to do, as you said, with the poor sales of the main game. It had such a great feel control-wise, the engine was fantastic! It's a real shame.

Dark Messiah is much better than most of the garbage released today. When I think about why it didn't do better financially, I can only come up with one reason: They titled it "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic". My understanding is that the Might and Magic games are of a completely different genre.

They apparently thought "Might and Magic" would increase sales, but it probably just angered people who expected something different.

I could be way off, but otherwise I can't understand what people don't like about it. I've never experienced better sword and bow combat mechanics to this day.
