Uncletopia is most definitely not a place for a new player, people have been kicked just because they wanted to play Huntsman sniper. A new player would join, have no idea what's happening and get kicked because they're "dragging the team down". A map like 2fort is best because most people are below average at the game, and CTF is a common gamemode that's easy to understand, plus it's featured in other games. Undercommunication is present in almost all of TF2 casual, and I think it would be best for a new player to learn how to fend for themselves before working with a team, as then they have at least some experience in 1v1 situations before participating in team fights.

I'd recommend new players to something like Uncletopia, that way they don't pick up the bad habits of undercommunication and 2fort
