I wanted to have something fun to play with a few friends or solo, I was a bit disappointed by the seemingly shallow progression and repetitive gameplay loop. If you like rust maybe you'll enjoy it, but I never liked rust and I don't really enjoy this either. The graphics are alright, but it didn't feel very stylized and at times I felt like they just grabbed a bunch of random assets and used them in the game. Combat is pretty awful against the npcs, they don't move around much and they kinda just stand there waiting to either die to you or shoot you every 5 seconds. Survival is mostly just a pain in the beginning, maintaining your hunger and thirst mostly just means going back to base for water and maybe trying to wrestle a marlin; after you get fish nets food and hunger becomes pretty meaningless and you can just wait for the nets to fill up and collect them with one button press. Maybe this game isn't for me, but I felt bored pretty and often thought if this was even an original game and not an asset flip.
