There's a burning question in the PAYDAY community that is: Should you buy the first or the second one?

This is a tough question. And this review will be a little different kind of review because I am answering your question right there.

PAYDAY: The Heist is a clunky mess. But there's just something in the game that you can't just shout "I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVE IT". PAYDAY had more character, more badassness, more additude than the second one and that's why I will always remember the day I finally got to play this game. It was on PS3 and my mind was blown with how awesome it was to play the game. It felt so right to do wrong; killing cops and stealing ♥♥♥♥ felt amazing! The game had something so unique compared to most of the FPS games at the time. And the gameplay still holds up even today.

Anyways, that's that for the nostalgia. Now the the real part of the review. What makes PAYDAY better than PAYDAY 2? The heists. The content. The difficulty. PAYDAY: The Heist heavily relys on the team play rather than making the enemies insanely overpowered (like in PAYDAY 2) and makes you think what kind of stuff you are going to bring with you. This is something PAYDAY 2 doesn't have. Variety! PAYDAY: The Heist has variety in the Heists so you really need to think about what you're bringing with you. PAYDAY 2 has a bit more... straightforward heists.

So which one should you buy? I fyou are a big fan of the game: both. If you want to play with your friends: PAYDAY: The Heist. If you are a newcomer to the whole PAYDAY thing: I would suggest for you to get PAYDAY 2 GoTY.

As of I'm writing this review I've played only half of the levels but I personally think it's enough to justify the game if it's good or not.

Unfortunately, the answer for this game being good or bad is that this game is bad. Really bad. The basic gameplay mechanics are there. Movement, shooting, enemies, different kind of destructable enviroments and... well, to be honest that's pretty much it. There's really nothing to the game other than moving, shooting enemies and different kinds of obstacles.

If I can sum up the whole game into a couple of sentences it pretty weak game. Desert Thunder is one of those games that you buy when you are drunk and then play it, get drunk again and cry for spending money on this...

I only gave this game a "Yes" just because kids might like it.

Woodle Tree Adventures is a very relaxing platforming game made in the style of some of the older games like Super Mario 64 or Crash Bandicoot and features a friendly design for all ages. The game seems to be targeted towards younger people, maybe for 2-4 year olds.

The game isn't perfect though. There are a couple of complants revovling aruond the gameplay itself and one thing that might just my own opinion. The camera was just absolutely horrendous and glitched pretty much in every level and the movements were a little clunky and slippery. The other problem I had with the game was that if it really was targeted towards pre-schoolers and such, I myself wouldn't really let my kid play games before he was actually intelligent enough to understand the concept of video games and rela life.

Overall, somwhat enjoyable game for a low price.

No. Just no.

There is no single reason why you should buy, or even play, this game. The garphics are ugly, music doesn't fit, story is just slapped to make the game seem a little more professional and the gameplay is horrendous.

The gameplay can be summed in a single sentence. You run around as a dude and avoid things in order to not get caught by guards. The gameplay wouldn't bug me that much if it wasn't that damn repetitive. It's not the worst, let's be real for a moment, but it's unpolished as hell. I can stand in a same spot for a minute or two but then randomly a laser detects me fore some reason even though I am behind cover. I don't know if this is some kind of mechanism to make all the campers fail a level but it seems to happen so randomly I doubt they inteted to do it.

This review is a complete mess, like the game is. I have nothing to say about it since it lacks everything. Everything is so off. Graphics and musics do not fit together, the story felt unnecessary and the game does not give you any idea if the developers were serious or not when making this game. I feel like it was put togehter in a month or so.

I should not be so harsh on smaller games. But when game developers are trying too hard to start from the top they usually fail miserably. It's really unfrotunate to say that this game is a big no-no and should be either free or, better yet, released as a tech demo/programming skills demo game.

Nerdook games aren't for everyone. And I am one of those people who finds them annoying.

Back in the day when I didn't have many games on my Steam account there was this wonderful place called the internet to search for old games, Java games or Flash games which were pretty much free and easy to pick up. When I still played Flash games I played quite some of these games made by Nerdook and they were somewhat fun to play. A lot of stuff to play for a low price of website ads.

Unfortunately the charm didn't really last after seeing the massive collection of great indie and AAA titles on Steam and finally being able to buy them. Vertical Drop Heroes HD is pretty much the same game as the Flash version with just small changes but overall features the same gameplay.

The game is roguelike 2D-verticalscrolling-"platforming"-game where your goal is to upgrade your stats, gain levels, defeat bosses and finally be powerful enough to complete the game. It certainly sounds like a neat idea and the game plays quite nicely but after a while some people will notice the reason why I can't recommend this game and some will just enjoy it hour after hour.

The keyword here is time. Overall, the game is quite easy, Money grinding is time consuming and doesn't really reward you enough to keep doing it so you'll just use all your cash on level skips instead. You either play it the long way getting all the upgrades for your run and maybe reaching the final level in a couple of hours or you take it slow and get bored with the game.

Even though the levels are randomly generated there is not much difference between the levels on each run. Same enemies and block on every certain level and the only things that do change are the bonuses and mini-quests on levels. These award you bonuses for your current run only.

This game certainly works for those who don't really like games with deep story plots or multiplayer games but still want something to play on your coffee breaks this is just the game for you. But even then this game lacks power of you wanting to complete the game for other reasons than getting the Achievements.

Might be worth picking up on Sale. But be very careful since this game maybe won't be the game you desired.

Are you a fan of arcade action games like Asteroids? Do you like music? Then this is just for you!

Beat Hazard combines the basic gameplay elements of the old classic arcade game Asteroids and mixes it with different kind of enemy types and your own choice of music. Every song has different kind of enemy waves so each song feels a completely unique experience and doesn't get boring after a song or two. Because the game is just pure arcade action the game never really lose any of it's replayability and feels fresh every time you launch up a new song in Beat Hazard.

Consider picking up the DLCs! Enchants the gameplay and adds hours of content into the game.

EDIT:
This still is my favourite DLC out of all the DLC in Payday 2. I just simply love this one.

This has to be my favourite DLC out of all the DLCs in Payday 2.

The heist itself is amazing and has a lot of replay value because it does not feel like a chour to play through the heist, like some other heists, but feels fun to play time after time. Oh, and the day 2 has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss fight. That's pretty neat.

This DLC also gives you really cool masks for players who are fans of the video game franchise Hotline Miami and one of the best SMGs in the game. Well, at least in my opinion.

All of this comes in a relatively small price of 3,99€ which isn't bad for a heist that surpasses the quality of the other DLCs by a mile.

I didn't really have high hopes for this game after seeing the screenshots but I did give this game a shot. And it was well worth it.

Orborun may not be the prettiest game to look at but it makes up for it with its addictive and quite unique gameplay. The gameplay is a combination of your basic "runner" type of games where you constantly keep moving, collect points or other items and do a certain kind of objective in order to progress in the game. This is all comes with a quite fresh twist with challenging levels varying from basic levels going pretty much linearry forward to level which require fast reflexes or quick decision making. This makes the game stand out from most of the runner games I've seen and this gets me to launch the game every now and then.

Overall, Orborun is well worth the full price in my opinion. And this is quite rare thing coming from my mouth since I am usually pretty dang miserly when it comes to my money. A fresh experience to entertain you for hours.

Hotline Miami 1 and 2 has always been couple of the very, very, few games where I acutally like the soundtrack. HM2 did take a bit different turn in the soundtrack than what the original HM had nut still hold up really well and creates a atmosphere that's exciting to expierience.

Worth your money if you are a fan of the soundtrack. Otherwise not so much. (Duh!)
