I've been loving R.E.V.O. so far, but since the latest patch I've been unable to get the game up and running on my PC. I've restarted my PC many times. I've un-installed and re-installed it a few times. I know my PC meets the games recommended requirements with no issues. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue to me?...

Great, no BS, 3D fighting game. I've played DOA, Tekken, Soulcalibur, and this and i have to say this is far better than all of them. Tekken is arguably* an objective close second overall.

Virtua Fighter 5 has finally arrived on PC, after so many years of waiting and asking for it! It's the most enhanced and refined version of the current iteration which makes it even more exciting for new players and fighting game enthusiasts alike.

Even after so many years, there's never been a more mechanically deep and technical fighting game, even to this very day.
I'm still amazed by the fact that the game plays like a true martial arts movie, specially at high level skill. It's a game that is easy (and kinda bland) on the surface, but grows on you the more you play it. It also requires a profound understanding of its mechanics, reading and execution if you wanna make it flashy/frenetic and go beyond being a beginner.

That being said... Is Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. the true definitive Virtua Fighter 5 experience?
The answer is yes, but also not at all.

It's the definitive experience if you're taking into account the rollback netcode, I think that's the most significant aspect of it being the case, but rollback netcode and gorgeous 4K graphics are really not enough for it to be what SEGA is claiming the game to be, because it could be so much more than that.
The lack of Quest mode, single player content other than Arcade and character customisation are features that really hold it back from reaching that heavenly status the game could otherwise be and deserves.

Still, I'm all here for it. I love it, you love it and it's what we got until Virtua Fighter 6 happens.

"VF5 R.E.V.O." Producer Letter #2

Hello again, this is Seiji Aoki, the Producer of the “Legacy VIRTUA FIGHTER Project”.

Today we released the "Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O." Ver. 1.03 update. With this patch the button/key setting adjustment request that many of you asked for has been addressed. I hope you will continue to share your comments, feedback and suggestions with me on our official Discord server and the VF team will continue to improve the game for you.

As recently announced, the first official global tournament; the VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship (VFOC), will begin in North American. The VFOC will kick-off with a qualifier at COMBO BREAKER 2025 in Chicago on May 23rd, and be followed by additional qualifiers in North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia (excluding Japan). Winners of qualifiers in each region will then face off in the GRAND FINALS, where the champion will receive a $100,000 cash prize. We’re excited to see all competitors from around the world battle to become the first official global champion of VF!

There will also be a special 5 on 5 VFR BEAT-TRIBE CUP held at EVO Japan 2025 from May 9-11th. The VFR BEAT-TRIBE CUP has a storied history filled with tense battles and tons of drama. I personally can’t wait to see what memorable moments and excitement are created this year.

Although we are busy preparing for the VFOC, our development team is hard at work on even more surprises to come and I will let you know as soon as more details are confirmed.
