Hello Washers!

Some of you may have seen that we were featured in the first ever Twitch Galaxies Show. During this showcase we tasked some of our awesome FuturLab team, Eilidh (Junior 3D Artist), Mark (Writer) and Dan (Game Director) to explain PowerWash Simulator 2 in just 60 seconds! ⬇️

What warrants a new game rather than more content for the original?

As someone with 823 hours in PowerWash Simulator, I'm really uncertain given what has been shown so far what warrants this being a sequel as opposed to a DLC pack or more levels for the original game. Am I alone in this?

From one great announcement to the next…

We’ll be featured in the first ever Galaxies Showcase on Twitch, 8pm BST April 17th! So don’t forget to mark your calendars and check it out here[www.twitch.tv]

We can’t wait to show off more PowerWash Sim 2 stuff very soon, but for now here is a quick run down of some of the upcoming features we’ve shared so far! ⬇️

A full level 38 career mode to clean, expanding on the Muckingham you already love and showing you new and exciting locations further afield.
Our soap system has been reworked to give a more satisfying clean when using it.
PowerWash Sim 2 will feature a home base where you can gather your cleaning crew and decorate with items you collect on your adventures.
Co-op has been changed to give all Washers progression in their career & we’ll also be adding split screen for those washers who like to play on the same device with their player 2.

We’ve put together an FAQ to share what we can so far!

With all of this, we have so much more to talk about as we get closer to PowerWash Simulator 2 release!

We’re very much still in active development, just look at this WIP cat animation…

We’ll have deeper dives into more features and visual upgrades included in PWS2 coming soon in more devlogs.

Announcing PowerWash Simulator 2!

We have some amazing news that we can finally share with you all!

We’re excited to announce the next steps for PowerWash Simulator… introducing PowerWash Simulator 2!

Home Sweet Home(base)

PowerWash Simulator 2 will start you off at your new base of operations: a hub to meet up with friends and relax before going out into Muckingham (and beyond…) to clean up the streets.

Your home base will come in handy for more than just assembling your washing squad, but we’ll have additional info to share on that in the near future.

New Expanded Career

Continuing from the events of PowerWash Simulator, you’ll be suiting up again for a filthy 38 level career, taking you to a range of locations. From Lubri City to Pumpton and everywhere in between, there will be a full roster of items and locations for you to tackle solo or with your squeaky-clean team!

Which leads us onto our next change coming to PowerWash Simulator 2…

Split Screen has entered the chat!

Our co-op system is getting a few updates, with shared online career progression and a much-requested addition: local split screen!

Sit back and unwind with your partner in grime, or jump online and play with other washers to hose down the town.

Land of Soap and Glory

The soap system has also been reworked for PowerWash Simulator 2, allowing your cleaning experience to feel more satisfying than ever. Foam up any dirty surface and easily wash it away with a smooth swipe of your washer.

That’s not all, folks…

We’ll have lots more to share about PowerWash Simulator 2 coming up in future deep dives, so keep an eye out for those. We can’t wait to share more details with you on our journey to the release of PowerWash Simulator 2!

Why Sequel?

I'm curious. I LOVE PowerWash Simulator, don't get me wrong. But why a sequel instead of just updating the original? You've been consistently releasing new DLC for it. Wouldn't it be better to continue improving the original game and add more DLC, to keep all of the levels in one game, rather than now we'd have to launch two separate games in order to access certain levels? If you operate more like recent HITMAN games, where you can import levels from the previous game and be able to access everything fro...

Any plans for a more indepth mode? or continue cosy spray jobs.

I am wondering if Powerwash 2 will have a more careful mode with accidental added mess for mistakes, perhaps mechanics to go with updated water effects.. or will it be same as before. Not suggesting the cosy theme of the first game be taken away. I would be interested in a harder mode where more consideration of tools, starting points and lines of approach should be thought of. Such as making the grime run down walls. Being too close to the surface you're spraying causing grime to spread in unwanted direc...

"No ding/autocompletion" mode?

Just bringing this up here in case bringing it up early enough in development helps its chances...... the first game was almost ideal except that the "ding" that steals dirt from you makes it literally unplayable to me (I had to give up two levels in). I'm not asking for a customizable percentage, I'm not asking you to "do a better job" tuning it, I'm not asking you to support messing with autocompletion during normal gameplay or anything. All I'm hoping for is a free-play mode that DOESN'T track co...
