Report a translation problem
If you are in Single Player, enable Debug Draw (F11 menu, unless they moved it?) and you'll see the raycasts from the cameras. These need to intersect the object for it to be "detected"

I had some issues with missiles when speeds were higher, so I can't guarantee it will work as well as it does in vanilla. But I believe you only need to set the max speed in the missile script. Let me know what your experience is :)
