Why Early Access?

“Private Military Manager (PMM) is a game where players do not directly control mercenaries, but instead lead them to victory in battles through tactics and directives as a manager. The game incorporates quite a few experimental elements, and through Early Access, we aim to actively listen to and incorporate player feedback to create a more engaging experience.”

“The game is planned to go through the Early Access phase until December 2025, with the goal of reaching the final version in 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the Early Access period and the journey toward the final release, we are planning the following improvements:

- Expansion of the story mode all the way to the ending.
- Addition of modifiers to each mission to encourage more strategic decision-making.
- Enhanced influence of faction relationships.
- More dramatic narrative developments based on faction relationships and mission progress.
- More fleshed-out mercenary characters that react more naturally to various situations.
- Interpersonal relationships between mercenaries will affect their individual behaviors.
- Introduction of a progression system for the manager.
- Implementation of a company growth system.
- A system for farming items and parts.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Story Mode (Estimated playtime: ~5 hours)
- Covers approximately 40% of the full story planned for the final version.
- The demo included only up to Mission 1, showing just the introduction, while the Early Access version extends to Mission 3, entering the mid-story phase.

Free Play Mode (Estimated playtime: ~15 hours)
- Players will need to consider a wider variety of factors when dispatching mercenaries.
- Unique mercenaries will be generated to accompany the player's journey.
- Generation rules will be updated to support the cycle and growth of mercenary generations.
- Manager customization will be possible through modifier combinations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Since the game is not yet fully complete, we plan to offer it at a price approximately 20% lower than the final product.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Steam Community Hub will serve as a space connecting developers and players. Based on Korea Standard Time, the hub will be actively monitored and responded to almost in real time during weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM. Feedback on bugs and game improvements, as well as the direction of ongoing development, will be shared with players.”
