In this idea, the Diamond Smithing can be branched to different cultural designs, following that you can construct an armour in a fitting style to the Blades, including a katana/dai-katana.
Or perhaps a Skyrim Nordic cultural designed versions of the armour? Because overall the actual DS armour itself is of the High Rock persuasian if i'm not mistaken, and seeing it in Skyrim as they are also both near eachother geographically, which could hold a connection to someone like a Breton who lived in skyrim to make an armour similar to both cultural armoury designs.
