The new model corresponds in my opinion to most of the relevant features including the longer wheelbase, the slightly extended rear window and the longer rear bumper. Doing a texture fix solely for the back door without changing the rest of the textures is impossible without a complete remap, which would take more than a day (and my sponsors/donors all say it's more important for new models than reworks)

I agree - I have not seen the old version, I will be grateful for the link to it. I just can not understand what the update is, if the model even after it does not correspond to the construction features.

You still don't understand the main thing I have against your comments. It's not THAT far off from a Suburban. It's a MAJOR improvement from before.

That is the problem. You don't seem to understand that it is an UPDATE of an old asset not a new one. I don't know why I keep on UPDATING old assets because I don't have to.

Is that clear? That is the issue I have. I could've left it at the old model...but I chose to do a blend of detail for the new one that works out for the most part. That's because I value quality too and I feel like it works enough for Skylines.

1- "then backtrack to only the door" is not a retreat, you begin to cling to the words. I did not change the level of importance of these moments.
2- these 3 details one way or another are one of the main external differences of one model from another.And it's not just a different logo icon or bundle - it's a difference in the body structure.
3- "this slight thing that you're pointing put is irrelevant for the majority of the Skylines community." - model for city skyline. So it does.
4- "But don't call it fake without doing a comparison, give me diagrams, and then backtrack almost all your points." - I have the right to call poor-quality content, especially if it does not match the description. I'm sorry that you take criticism so closely, because the tahoe model is good. I want to download and see exactly the model that is stated in the description, sorry I will repeat.

Every time I decide to update an older work, I get somebody whose indignant that I updated it. If you complained about the model that was here before the update, I get it
That one actually did not meet a Suburban dimension. But to say it's wrong on three levels and then backtrack to only the door, that's not right. Then you act like it takes no time to change the door texture, but it would have taken many hours and when I originally didn't want to update it, that is a LOT of time to invest.

I actually talked to other modders about what youve pointed out and we all felt like this slight thing that you're pointing put is irrelevant for the majority of the Skylines community.

And in the end, it comes down to, if you don't like it, don't subscribe to it. But don't call it fake without doing a comparison, give me diagrams, and then backtrack almost all your points.

How much time do you think it takes to make a texture? Did you even remember what was here before I updated the model?

This was released originally over a year ago. I have no obligation to update my older work. I wasn't even planning on it earlier with these Suburbans. The only reason I did it was because I could do it somewhat fast via this hybrid method. The only issue that the vehicle has is a line that is slightly not right on the door. However, every other aspect that you criticized is fine. The window tilt is barely noticeable.

Here's a comparison of my Suburban to my Tahoe. The bumper is LONGER, the doors DO NOT go on the wing, and the window is EXTENDED.

If you notice the little slant in the door, that's because I didn't change the texture map. But that doesn't affect the fact that if you draw the line straight down, it's not on the "wing" of the car.

Also, how did you think I stretched it? I didn't just move the entire model horizontal. I referred to actual diagrams and compared them side by side before deciding how to properly stretch it.

Did you even compare the Tahoe model to the Suburban? How did you reach your conclusion that it was "fake"?

Only by stretching the base of Tahoe to a Suburban, you will not make it a Suburban. Suburban has other rear doors (they do not go on the wing); another corner of the rack near the rear door glass, another length of the rear bumper and luggage carrier.

@cody.millward, I also think that maybe this suburban can be converted into a medic car or maybe the F150, but I don't want to think too much about that yet, else I might feel overwhelmed with the stuff I have planned.

@cody.millward I actually have my own model of a E Series van. However, the default police transport van looks very very very similar to it, so I was thinking i wasn't going to do one until later. But with the NYPD, I'll be making an E-series van (a month from now, with all the other stuff) so maybe I'll reskin it for LAPD.

@cody.millward Thanks! I was thinking that I can reskin the Pierce Arrow into the Honolulu colors in the near future (yellow) when I am making the NYPD mobile command truck (also a E-One Cyclone) and the LAPD Underwater Retrieval Unit (again a E-One Cyclone) How does that sound? :D

Understood @ninjannoobslayer. Be cool at some point. Hell the ability to change to another type of cim like those in office wear for exiting unmarked cruisers or homeland be a nice touch as well. But def require some sort of mod.

@BrowncoatTrekky I think I know how to disable the lights by driving them deep down into the ground (which should be fine save for some point at which the lights become located in null), but for the sirens, I have no idea how to deactivate it without the subscriber using a Siren changer.

Well as soon as you save them as emergency assets I understand you are obligated to use the sirens. That includes both the sound and the lighting. Be cool to save them as emergency assets but without activating those effects.

@BrowncoatTrekky what do you by maintain them as police or fire services? Also, I do have security vehicles planned (but it's kinda delayed due to my issues with the 2016 Explorer and I was thinking that they would be under industrial and "patrol"

Nice touch on latest vehicles.. be cool to disable sirens and still maintain them as police or fire services.Liked all of them and followed. Look forward to more.
