Make sure you do not have any other galactic texture modifiers active.
At the beginning of the game, the map shows "fog of war". You only see the colored map after you explore it. If you want to see the full color map at the beginning of the game use other EG * mods from ButtJunkie as EG * - Colors of the Galaxy restored [https//+].

PDX did something somewhat recently (2.0 I think) that started causing this.

So, the galaxy I am playing has no core, like it has stars in the core, but no color to it. The only mods I am running are all yours, is this a known issue or is this something weird?
