All it does is edit scan texts. I would put it on your server to be safe, but otherwise it should be fine client-side only.
I completely missed this comment! Apologies! But yeah, absolutely if you wanna add text for FU objects, go for it!
I've been contemplating about adding the avali dialogue for FU, as tedious as it sounds, to give it more flare rather having the generic descriptions for the FU items. First thing I have to do is reference the files from this mod so I know what to do, if that's okay for you.
FU has a myriad of items and objects, so this is rather a project I can play around with.
Did you ask around to see how to circumvent it? It seems the vanilla races have their own description for each table tier, so maybe someone's found something by now.
Aye, this is a problem with how those tables work, once upgraded, they're technically the same object, and the program I used for each description didn't take that into account and I'm not really a coder so I'm not sure how I'd go about covering the upgrades.
mods amazing
Again, I'm not sure if I'll ever do it but it's definitely something I'd be interested in doing if I had more energy since I'm A writer.
I think you did a good job all around bud.
I agree, you kind of have to go with the generic option when dealing with a race wide set of descriptions... Just out of curiosity how many items did you write descriptions for (rough estimate)
Yeah! I tried to be as "stereotypical" as possible as far as the descriptions go save for a few funny bits here and there (scan a Gnome village, it's terrific, I promise). As stated in the description, I tried to be faithful to Avali as a whole, and Avali as a whole are wordy, techy, and a bit arrogant.
Though everyone's OC is different, of course! People probably have Floran characters who mastered their speech patterns but the scan texts would still have them rolling those s's!
Basically, Downloadable. Wether From The Official Chucklefish Website, Or Github
Any plans to update this to include the new 1.4 objects, or will those just contain generic descriptions?
