Well yeah that's what I was wrestling with for the last few days. I shaved 10k triangles off of the original version and even added details. I've got it to a place that I'm happy with, and my rig can handle it, so I won't be putting more hours in to optimize this mesh further. I'm just a beginner with Blender but I think I'm learning in leaps and bounds with each project.

Is it possible to keep the details, but have a smaller version?
