@SpiritRetro generally, portrait mods can't be achievement compatible because they require adding a species class. If you are OK replacing some existing portraits, you can edit the portrait selectors to use these graphics to replace one of the built-in portraits.

any possability of getting just a portrait + acheivements compatible version?

@Azona - this mod is outdated and maintain an updated version. That said, I haven't updated any of them yet.

Wonderful work - I have included parts of your mod in mine but then got banned for not asking for permissions. Do you have any objections to your work being included in mine? I have already added you to the credits list.

I've updated the gameplay content from this mod (mostly the special starting system and custom empire) to work with Stellaris 3.0.* - you must still subscribe to this one for it to work.

@Elenorefangirl is three years not patient enough?

@ADieu If you download 7-Zip you can edit the mod file in your steam folder. The pathing for what models are used should be in a text file, and you should be pretty easily able to deduce what is what. Just change the boys to look like girls if you don't like how the males look.
Toto 9 czerwca 2020 o 9:28
bruh the male portraits are horrible but at least the female portraits are top tier waifu is there a way to remove them ?

if you update past 2.2 please leave a legacy mod for 2.1 and back, a great many have no desire to move to the new game. a legacy version remaining would be appreciated.
Dr0genK0b0ld 17 marca 2019 o 4:34
hey,
can you update your mods?

There is a way for modders not to have to update their stuff on a frequent basis. Join a group. Lets say a group called More Original Stellaris Species and Silfae was a member of this group. So along with other modders. Silfae submits work, the moderator of the group make sure Silfae receives credit for this individual's own contributions. Instead of Silfae constantly changing the number of what version this mod will work for, the moderator would do that. And if the game no longer functions, then this information is passed over to Silfae, which in turn prevents Silfae from needing to constantly update the mods.

Do people realize this game update so frequently that most mods are rendered useless to the point where it might not be worth updating when your work becomes outdated with every update. Besides they might be busy with real life that they might not have the time to update, so please have some patience.

Update, pretty please? :steamhappy:

@Byeforever It already means, that it does not work Fine. :steammocking:
Byeforever 21 kwietnia 2018 o 13:56
@Preserved Billy, it works fine, you just might want to change their ship type though to make sure they have a model for titans.
Preserved Billy 14 kwietnia 2018 o 17:30
Please update!
re4_wesker 8 marca 2018 o 2:35
As far as I can tell this mod still works fine with the update, but the Xirmian's AI seems to have trouble coping. Two games now where I've had them spawn they immediately floundered due to massive levels of unrest and caused them to lag behind everyone else. I have no idea what the problem is, but as far as I can tell it should only effect the custom faction, so the portraits should still be fine.
Kami 2 marca 2018 o 4:11
Please update
SnowWuffe 23 lutego 2018 o 18:52
I wish to congratulate/thank you for some excellent portraits silfae, for this and the others.
Is there any chance you would create a collective version, that does only contain the portrait, namelist, and city gfx ?, aside from the risk of conflicting with other mods (like the serpentiouds add a trait) which my fellow buddies prefers it being a completely "vanillia" playingground in term of balance. Aswell as avoid any potential risks for conflict with other mods used.
Whiskeyjack 18 stycznia 2018 o 12:43
They look so cyberpunkish
Valo 28 grudnia 2017 o 16:49

All the animated portraits are beautiful and these of the Xirmians are absolutely my favorites. Good job!

A spawning issue.

Feminist race lol
silfae  [autor] 3 października 2017 o 23:56
Your Stellaris is not updated to 1.8.1. Also, please don't spam.
Kinzuko 3 października 2017 o 15:27
cant pick traits using this mod
manic_Mage 2 października 2017 o 23:29
Ah okay, I'd assumed my game was up to date but it's an opt in thing. Thanks. Updated now and we'll see if that works.
silfae  [autor] 30 września 2017 o 23:07
You are likely on Stellaris version 1.8. My mods are compatible with 1.8.1. You need to update the game.
manic_Mage 30 września 2017 o 19:39
I just downloaded a bunch of your portrait mods, but I'm only seeing the Biosynthetic Commonwealth empire in my empire list (of yours)? Any idea why that would be? I was looking forward to more diverse empires. Literally only mods I have are yours and as far as dlc I got that pack with the Plantoids, Utopia and Leviathans if that helps.
Jokulmorder 29 września 2017 o 7:30
Ah, I see i thought the new version was out. I'm didn't realize using the older one, sorry.
silfae  [autor] 29 września 2017 o 6:37
Are you using Stellaris version 1.8.1, not 1.8?
Jokulmorder 29 września 2017 o 6:15
I'm still not getting trait points, the only mods i'm using are your portrait mods and the diverse rooms mod.
silfae  [autor] 29 września 2017 o 0:00
No problem.
Mosley was right 29 września 2017 o 0:00
Thanks for being patient with me, lol.
Mosley was right 29 września 2017 o 0:00
Yep! It's one of the trait mods. After i disabled them, the game worked fine, and your portraits showed up. If i can isolate which one, i'll try to contact the modder, and see if he or she will fix the problem.
silfae  [autor] 28 września 2017 o 23:58
If the problem is the traits, then a trait mod is the likely culprit.
Mosley was right 28 września 2017 o 23:54
Okay: there's something seriously wrong here. There are no vanilla races now, and the only mods i have activated are yours and some trait mods. Maybe it's one of those, but if not, i might have to reinstall Stellaris.
