The code is incredibly simple, it will simply override the call for the "damage" element to be drawn.

does this work on certain custom mods? cuz i downloaded a bunch of mods that dont specifically add a static red death screen, and i cant find what mod causes it. Will it get rid of all death screens? cuz that would be amazing, and i also wanna use this baby blue death screen, its basically like from the last scene in breaking bad.

Which branch are you on? Fresh install on x64 I didn't have any death overlay in either Sandbox or TTT.

it is, the red-ass flashbang is still there.

Mostly just a new icon and a bit of cleanup of the (nearly nonexistent) code, see my remarks below as I'm currently unsure whether this addon is even still necessary.

In TTT, even without any addons installed, I'm not getting any red overlay.

in TTT i generally have a red screen while getting hit. I dont have any addons that "attack" your screen directly (lmao)

Strange. When I was testing the addon recently, it seemed to do nothing right now, but in the opposite way. With a fresh game installation, I was not getting the red overlay. I updated the addon regardless, in case someone still has the overlay, but as far as I could tell the overlay has been removed. Could you tell me more about what other addons you have installed that could potentially have a death screen? Because it is likely incompatible with other such addons. Also in which game mode are you still having the red overlay? Any other context would be great.

this mod makes my game stop rendering entirely except for when it stops rendering for a single frame. do not use this with any hud mods at all.
my best guess is that maybe this mod adds code instead of a transparent texture for the red.

if only this removed the beeping too :(
