asset seems no longer gets oil supplies

Very nice! Can't wait to further devastate my Cim's property values!

How do I get the steam to come out ? I forgot...totally.I have 65 mods and can't remember

I enjoy using this power station, however it is not a combined cycle. It is actually a simple cycle, or "peeker" combustion turbine.

From engineering perspective, this plant is called Cogeneration, and it does provide more power with the same resources.
dustinthenow17 28 NOV 2018 a las 19:23
This is a beautiful plant! Great job!

Excellent asset! I have a question though: what should I do it the power plant has run out of fuel? Btw my city does have oil industry, but once one of my combined-cycle plants has run out of fuel, it does not get filled up again. The other one (right next to it) is working fine and getting filled up constantly.

This asset is freaking awesome. I've been using it as emergency power source for when lightning strikes out an electricity pylon - I've got backup power networks and flip the switch on the power stations while I go hunting for the broken pylon.

thanks for the incredible high quality on all these assets that you make - its truly top notch work
Plumpus the Trotting Ham 14 DIC 2016 a las 8:25
Well balanced and looks great - perfect for early game cities. Excellent mod; thanks for taking the time to make it :)

You could also use the waste heat to provide heating for the water system :)

I fully acknowledge that it overlaps slightly with the default coal plant, I say as much in the description.
Some of the offset is in higher upfront cost compared to the 19,000 for the base plant.

Other assets are in the pipeline, you’ll have plenty of options for powering a city without the unrealistic spam of 10 individual power plants before you give up a plop down a nuke.
The way I play is to ignore as many default (ugly) buildings as possible, therefore I care more about balancing my assets with realism and with each other, leaving the default buildings as a tertiary concern.
Cpt. Rogers 29 SEP 2016 a las 21:36
Good but dumb question with this power plant what's the point in having a coal plant if this one does more for so much less in every reguard?

Cheaper, cheaper to maintain, and less pollutive
just saying it needs a bit of balancing from what I'm seeing so far.
ale_donkey 17 SEP 2016 a las 10:09
Definitely incorporating a few of these in my city! Thank you!
WallieMan 16 SEP 2016 a las 15:37
Awesome. Nice job making this. 5 stars!!
fox171171 15 SEP 2016 a las 8:54
Pretty nice looking. Would be nice to have a power plant that can use waste heat for building heating in "Snowfall".
FLASH 15 SEP 2016 a las 5:51
아주 좋아요 great
smithda 15 SEP 2016 a las 1:57
hey is there any way you can convert this so garbage is the fuel and snow is used to make steam?
Dot 15 SEP 2016 a las 0:44
Cool was looking for something like this!
瑞小君 14 SEP 2016 a las 5:17
GOOD
Keef 13 SEP 2016 a las 12:29
Thanks to you, I finally confirmed what type of power station those are near Dayton, OH. Been driving past them for years watching them billow air-blurring heat and assumed they were natural gas but didn't know they had turbines also. And your asset looks almost exactly like them! Nice!
Next_month 13 SEP 2016 a las 9:02
so good
HansHvgFun 13 SEP 2016 a las 8:57
Well done!
pierreVail 13 SEP 2016 a las 7:50
Great! It works well and doesn't take too much room. Good job.
OJWells 13 SEP 2016 a las 2:20
great mod!! very sufficient!! i have 3 in my city.. 5 star
Longbow1900 13 SEP 2016 a las 1:00
great mod thank you
Badi_Dea  [autor] 12 SEP 2016 a las 16:39
you guys rock, thanks for the info! I have two smaller assets to release this week and next, but I'll start working on your 'Large Combined-Cycle Power Station' tonight :-)
skeet 12 SEP 2016 a las 16:17
I love this!
R3n3larana 12 SEP 2016 a las 15:03
and just so it doesnt sound like everything ive said isnt hot air out my butt. X) I am a technician at Combustion turbine plant in west texas. we are a black start plant with 6 CTs capable of approx. 75 MW each during the summer and 90 during the winter. So for sure imma line 6 of the turbines you made on one of my maps. Great job tho. youve done justice to Power Generation.
R3n3larana 12 SEP 2016 a las 14:55
hey mate, you did a good job and i think making a combined cycle plant would be A LOT easier then the Combustion turbine you did. if you want some refrence, heres the plant in Forney Texas that the company i work for just bought. it uses 3 CTs for one steam turbine. https://www.nexteraenergyresources.com/pdf_redesign/Forney1.pdf
Kenny 12 SEP 2016 a las 12:52
The arm of the plant is extending right into roads larger than the smallest.
BRAVO 12 SEP 2016 a las 11:19
@Badi_Dea i'm an Operating Engineer 4th Class. Cogens are things that I run in the field. If you want input on any future assets, give me a message.
UguuDoki 11 SEP 2016 a las 22:33
Nice!!!
IJustPeedMyPants 11 SEP 2016 a las 22:23
Whats your lut's and stuff? Cheers man nice asset.
Badi_Dea  [autor] 11 SEP 2016 a las 21:35
now that I think of it - the thing that makes a combined cycle is a turbine hall to use the waste heat - I didn't model that, I suppose I should. I can't think of much of a way to make it more than decoration though
Badi_Dea  [autor] 11 SEP 2016 a las 20:51
@R3n3larana: it's based on this design, as far as I know, it's a natural gas fuled combined cycle power station. I don't know too much about the subject, so I made the best guess I could.

@BRAVO9ACTUAL: It emits half the pollution of the stock oil power plant, making it the least polluting (non-green) power facility.

Thanks all! I appreciate the comments!
R3n3larana 11 SEP 2016 a las 20:29
This looks a lot like a regular Combustion turbine. Still love the look but the Combined cycles ive seen are a lot taller.
Aurelian 11 SEP 2016 a las 10:07
LOVE IT THANKS POWER
BRAVO 11 SEP 2016 a las 9:53
Nice asset but could you maybe in the future update it to release less pollution? Cogen's are extremely clean operations.
Dieselholic 11 SEP 2016 a las 9:27
could you make more similiar power sub stations possibly for late game scenarios because i dont believe just plopping down power lines everywhere is very realistic.
Quinntoligy 10 SEP 2016 a las 18:12
Thank you, i was a little upset of the lack of natural gas like plants, but this is the perfect solution.
Berrante 10 SEP 2016 a las 7:35
HOLY SHIT!!! THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
girlfromverona 9 SEP 2016 a las 22:06
Love it! Thanks.
moyad02 9 SEP 2016 a las 14:17
Amazing, thanks!
Tim The Terrible 9 SEP 2016 a las 7:38
I F*UCKING LOVE IT! Please make more High Poly/Quality industrial buildings! :D
Neguchi 9 SEP 2016 a las 5:54
Nice, is good asset for petrochimical industry ^^
Avanya 9 SEP 2016 a las 3:08
Very nice and great to see a power station! 5k tris is totally fine for something this size and this type - no city will have a ton of these ;)
SonOfNitrous 9 SEP 2016 a las 3:01
5k tris is absolutely ok. 30k could be a reason to be sorry)

Keep it going!
Thumbs up!
