All my friends says this is a dangerous mod to have, but im not sure.
The only problem with it is that when I use my pokeball on it when I bring it out of the pokeball its not the monster I captured
Disgustedorite 23 jan, 2021 @ 16:47
this mod is really funny because it inexplicably has a single head that seems to be based on a species from Sagan 4 Alpha
Kaamalauppias  [skapare] 25 jun, 2019 @ 15:27
It works in 1.4
LordDeTracy 14 jun, 2019 @ 15:52
Update needed. 1.4 is out.
ScrambieBambie 20 dec, 2017 @ 11:57
All monster parts do still work in last updates...and suppose for later to. Check for future info under other monster parts mods...mostly those are totally safe and can be even uninstaled mid-game from what i heard as monsters will re-generate if their parts are missing.
Jaden Ramalho 12 okt, 2017 @ 1:34
does this work in the newest game updates?
zigurat 9 okt, 2017 @ 17:17
Does it no longer work in 1.3?
Martear 21 sep, 2017 @ 12:55
work 1.3?? o.o
Empress Fordola 31 aug, 2017 @ 7:38
i think i made it work, added the files in front of the "head" folder to (default.frames etc) into my mod and hooray :D
Empress Fordola 31 aug, 2017 @ 7:22
@autor
i tried what you said before with "copy the file and edit it" to make my own mod...
but no matter what i do, the bodypart always seems to be invisible, even if i dont edit the picture, i really dont know what to do anymore
Super Brasilis 22 aug, 2017 @ 17:03

FoolMinato 6 jul, 2017 @ 15:35

Flamebun 8 jun, 2017 @ 20:10
cool! I love all of the random generation in games like this!
Kaamalauppias  [skapare] 19 mar, 2017 @ 8:52
Update 1.22
- Removed Stephans Familiar Monster mod (Monster parts from games you know) and AntiMonster because their authors are working on them actively again.
Medium Kahuna 22 feb, 2017 @ 20:53
Not enought people seem to know about EVO
Fenin 29 dec, 2016 @ 13:45
tfw you spot EVO Search for Eden. sprites in the screenshots, gg fam. Good game.
Neverward 17 dec, 2016 @ 13:02
This mod is great but some of the parts are just hilarious xD I mean like they look like a cartoon a baby would make of an alien. Others are really fun, but I guess less pieces and more creativity would have been cool. Either way kudos for doing it and it was fun for a few months.
von Boomslang 27 okt, 2016 @ 12:11
too all over the place in terms of style and quality for me to continue subbing, sadly
Mixelscraft64 18 okt, 2016 @ 8:56

Kaamalauppias  [skapare] 2 okt, 2016 @ 11:31
@Yuki Should not break planets.
*Yuki* 2 okt, 2016 @ 9:35
maybe asked before - if I will disable it, will it break generated planets?
Kaamalauppias  [skapare] 28 sep, 2016 @ 1:50
@Gnot a Gnoblin It is actually very simple to make a monster part mod. You can download this mod as a zip file here to see how it works: http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/monster-part-mod-pack.2420/

To add your own monster parts, you simply need to copy an existing monster part and change its name, and edit the texture. Your mod also needs a modinfo file. Here is a good tutorial for modding: http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/unofficial-modding-ebook-2-0.2930/
Niku Nakajima 27 sep, 2016 @ 23:44
Is it possible for me to make a similar mod? I wanted to make a "realistic monster parts" mod for a long time
Jaden Ramalho 23 sep, 2016 @ 2:14
problem solved, thanks
Kaamalauppias  [skapare] 23 sep, 2016 @ 1:55
@JAZR I am pretty sure you can remove this mod without any problems. The cratures will then just use the vanilla parts.
Jaden Ramalho 22 sep, 2016 @ 21:54
on my prior comment, im sure Iris is onto the right track about this as i have no problem beaming down to a world that lacks any kind of randomly generated critters or creatures (for example mechanical worlds with only robots around). this is a shame as im unable to visit any of my previous home planets now, as the creatures that have been spawned there using these mods above are suspected culprits of the issue. ive been advised that removing these particular kinds of creature enhancement mods can cause serious problems when removed from game, so ive opted to just wait till their all up to speed with version 1.1.1. that being said, im going around to all the mod authors and notifying them as to help me and the other players with the same problem, thanks in advance for any help

{ http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/getting-beamed-back-to-ship-upon-beaming-down.124488/page-2#post-3025890 } "Following mods *CAN* be causing this error (not 100% sure since i don't know their contents though):
- Obe Monster Parts (depending on if they alter types in the wrong way or add new)
- Stephans Monster Parts (depending on if they alter types in the wrong way or add new)
- Monster Part Mod Pack (depending on if they alter types in the wrong way or add new)
- More Starbound Critters 1.3
- Deathclaw

appliesWeatherStatusEffects is a new node in the monstertypes (and npcs too afaik). Every npc/monster that is missing this node in their respective definition will cause this error."

-Iris, forum moderator on chucklefish forums in response to my log on an ongoing issue with players being forced to teleport back up to ship.

Mixelscraft64 1 sep, 2016 @ 12:31

Thanks Jazz:steamhappy:

but one more thing
can you create Monster???
Mixelscraft64 1 sep, 2016 @ 11:19
@Jazz so...... i have to find them and kill them?

or i just use a tool
Weaver 31 aug, 2016 @ 18:25
Yeah, Familliar Parts or Monster Parts from Games You Know and AnTiMonster are both on the workshop now, but the other three aren't and I'd love to get at their parts without conflicts.
Neverward 30 aug, 2016 @ 21:59
Wow how totally awesome, this will make things much more funky :D thanks
Jazz 20 aug, 2016 @ 19:09
@Jack Some of the aliens in Starbound are procedurally generated, or made randomly, from various monster parts, like heads, legs, and torsos, etc. This mod just adds more parts the monsters may use, for even more random monsters! So, you can't get them.
Ducky! 20 aug, 2016 @ 16:53
Uhh, why is there Mario, Kirby, Evo Search for Eden, Terraria and other sprites from different games? *cough Chrono Trigger *cough*
Mixelscraft64 19 aug, 2016 @ 14:38
wut? =|
Griff (Muv-luv shill arc) 14 aug, 2016 @ 22:41
They are parts added to the random monster genration system
Mixelscraft64 11 aug, 2016 @ 10:45
HOWDO I GET PARTS???
themrpiggy22 10 aug, 2016 @ 7:34
*don't have this
themrpiggy22 10 aug, 2016 @ 7:33
Is this client-side/multiplayer friendly? Or will it crash if other people with have this?
Lambda 8 aug, 2016 @ 20:18
For those who don't know, most monsters in the game are randomly generated, using pre-existing parts that are then slapped together, though theres not NEARLY as much randomly generated content in the game anymore.
Vengla 8 aug, 2016 @ 14:52
So.. What does this mod do?
Bread Man 7 aug, 2016 @ 20:54
i also like the little propeller head:steamhappy:
Bread Man 7 aug, 2016 @ 20:53

ZB 7 aug, 2016 @ 8:11

ZB 7 aug, 2016 @ 8:11

KnightLiteSoldier 6 aug, 2016 @ 19:00
