ok nvm
for some reason it's only working when i copy and paste it into the discord app instead of going to the url in a browser
Selen 5 godz. temu
it still says that it's an invalid link
Sayter  [autor] 5 godz. temu
4k: It appears rain-regen was changed years ago and we forgot to update the text. You won't be missing much, as it was a slow regen, at best.

ohh ok thanks for that
I didn't realize that the afk calc was that complex
Sorry, I should've thought to check that

Would you mind sharing an up-to-date invite link to the discord?
Sayter  [autor] 14 godz. temu
Selen: Sounds like you are AFK. If you sit around just doing little, research will stop gaining. You must be actively playing to get it, not camp. Generally this means exploring a bit or otherwise engaging in gameplay beyond just marginally moving about your base.

Wallshave eyes: nope, you must choose one or the other.

So, I've picked Pharitu and I'm struggling to find if they have any unique weapons. I do really like the psychic ability as well but the sphere seems too important for it to be used, any way I can equip both?

Hey there, 2 things:
1. All the discord links I can find seem to say that they are "invalid"
2. I have noticed in my last couple of sessions that after playing the game for some extended amount of time (or maybe having it paused for an extended period), the passive income of research just stops (regardless of the fact that I'm still playing/moving around/interacting with things). It seems to fix itself when I quit and restart the game, but obviously that causes me to lose the playtime research income bonus. I'm unsure whether this is a problem with the recent update or not (I may have just not noticed it prior, but I'm not sure either way).
I've checked my starbound.log and the only errors are:
https://prnt.sc/yQl6uoIwafgZ
https://prnt.sc/OfpLnGDmbRRr
https://prnt.sc/Vtxnt2dEiCyU

Thanks in advance for any help as well as for all the effort put in to developing and maintaining this beautiful behemoth of a mod :)

Keep on frackin', frackin'.
Spookitty 8 czerwca o 14:45
I still laugh my butt off every time I find that codex detailing Kevin's many pranks at the Science Outpost. He ended up being my favorite NPC tied with Nuru from the base game XD
I appreciate all the hard work you all put into this mod.
mikey 5 czerwca o 14:42
I see its not actually a problem but forced by the game limits, maybe I should just get out of early game already lol. Thank you for answering, and thank you for all the work you have done for this community. Keep on being great.
Sayter  [autor] 5 czerwca o 14:03
That isn't an option, because their upgraded states require the space. As such, each tier of the station requires that space to be utilised.
mikey 5 czerwca o 7:46
Please fix the item placement grid for the Machining table and Armorworks, they require more space than their models should to place down. Specifically the top of these items/furnitures need like 2 blocks or more of space to be placeable and the sides require an extra block of space than they should. This has been a problem for years at this point.

Rhokai: Damage per shot is not a fair way to judge any weapon at base-level - there are many, many nuances that change the end result of the weapons effectiveness. Fire rate, damage type, range, spread, etc etc. I'd need a side-by-side comparison of the two weapons to fairly judge the difference, at the same tier of upgrade.

That said, its worth peeking at, thanks.
Sayter  [autor] 4 czerwca o 4:38
Derpy: yes, often. You can see the update date on the main page.

WIZ: I would never do that, because that would break the entire gameloop and not be fun in any capacity. Also, it would not at all have the effect you imply because that just isn't how the game works.
Master Rhokai 1 czerwca o 7:56
Skath Reinforced Minigun (tier 4) does 2.1 damage a shot, but the Skath Plasma minigun (tier 6) only does 1.4 damage despite having the same energy cost, and requiring more energy.
[SUB] WIZ 27 maja o 7:43
you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

Some effects are more taxing than others. Also putting automated stuff on your ship will cause a high load on your computer since it keeps checking every active process. Putting your stuff on a planet will allow them to become inactive when you are away.

NOO, DON'T EAT THE SUSHI, THERE'S A RUPEE IN IT
Stra1ghtSlay1n 26 maja o 10:33
Anyone know why I would be getting my FPS zapped to 0 for like a half second every 10-20 seconds? Im seeing Starbound runs pretty badly in general so im not sure if its a normal thing or if its on my end. I have FU and all the "recommended" mods. its not technically unplayable but it has caused a few deaths. Ive tried disabling vsync, and ive also tried running in x32 bit, as well as zooming in, and it still spikes.
Derpy141 26 maja o 8:09
Is this mod still getting updated?
Toycario 25 maja o 12:22
Okay so species weapon bonuses do not seem to be working. Or at the very least not updating on the tricorder. Everything else, like the base stats, and armor bonuses work fine, but this issue seems to effect every species including the ones packaged in the mod.

I tried removing every mod but the ones suggested by SAIL, I tried removing starextensions. No dice.

There is absolutely nothing in the logs indicating an error, or warning.

Anyone here have any ideas as to what would cause something like this?
Mr.Derp 25 maja o 7:30
Oh my goodness, my silly self left the saves in the other hard drive. :slugcatdead:
Thank you so much for the help!
Mr.Derp 24 maja o 15:22
The thing is, though, I'm pretty sure I never changed my mods between it working and it not. I don't know what went wrong. ):
Hello, how i can fix freezes? I create world - playing 30m - restart game and i got micro-freezes on my world. When I create a new world, the game stops freezing until some point when I re-enter the game. I only tested this mod and the game also froze after a certain period of time with a reboot of the game.
Sayter  [autor] 22 maja o 6:01
Mr.Derp: Remove the conflicting mods. This may not work if you didn't read mod pages and make relevant backups beforehand.

Kobz: We havent changed weapons - you have a conflicting mod installed.

unchamp: no, though Enhanced Storage does this I believe.
Mr.Derp 18 maja o 17:01
How do I get back my saves? :zote:
Kobz__ 17 maja o 18:30
for some reason the 1handed energy weapons don't work anymore?
unchamp2029 17 maja o 12:04
is there an deposit all option added?
Mr.Derp 17 maja o 10:04
Anyone know how I can reveal my saves again? I really don't wanna loose them forever... :steamsad:
Sayter  [autor] 16 maja o 19:42
No, as Research is the cornerstone of the entire progression system. You can, however, address things with the latest update features to adjust costs and gain should you choose, via patching things yourself.

adding: Its only tedious if you are sitting around waiting - research constantly accrues as you play and explore, with more being added on higher tier worlds and the like. AFK will directly reduce gain, encouraging gameplay over camping and waiting. If you are actively playing, you'll find you are seldom lacking in research on return trips to your base.
Aceterix 14 maja o 22:37
Is there a way to disable the research portion of the mod? I really enjoy the mod itself but the research makes everything extremely tedious.
Mr.Derp 14 maja o 16:58
Oh dang... Is there any way I can fix it?
Sayter  [autor] 14 maja o 5:38
Mr.Derp - nowhere. Its still there, but now has conflicted data in it, which means it will not display in the menu.
Sayter  [autor] 14 maja o 5:37
Nope. Sadly.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14 maja o 3:49
I'm looking at the website and I can't see those new races' ship format. Is there somewhere I can check their ships?
Mr.Derp 13 maja o 16:45
Dunno where my save files went, though... ):
Mr.Derp 13 maja o 16:45
Good call. Looks like this mod was causing the problem.

Evergreen: there are reload caps , and certain types of weapons only benefit so much for balance reasons.
Sayter  [autor] 13 maja o 14:03
Lexi : One does not need to be real-world accurate in all things :) But, thats still a fair point!
Sayter  [autor] 13 maja o 14:03
Lostprophets: thats almost a decade ago, firstly. Any script-related slowdown is long-since solved. Second, we haven't ever broken the starbound experience unless you are also loading in conflicting mods. Likewise with refusing to boot.

Starbound -itself- freezes at random intervals - thats not an FU-related issue but an engine issue :)
Sayter  [autor] 13 maja o 14:00
Mr.Derp : no idea, because youve given us nothing to work with. Most likely, you have conflicts installed that are listed on the incompatible mod list linked on the main page.
Lexi 12 maja o 19:30
Hi. Just started using the mod. Love it! Love all the science! However, on the wiki I saw there was something called viral cell and it made me sad. Is this still in the game? A virus particle is not a cell--in fact that is what makes them so special and cool!
Mr.Derp 12 maja o 15:58
Starbound only starts up properly now without Frackin' Universe. What do I do? :(
Attack! Attack! 12 maja o 12:46
Ah, the one Mod that breaks your entire Starbound experience. I remember playing this back in 2016 and my frame rate quickly dropped, game would freeze in random intervals, and game would refuse to boot up.
Evergreen 12 maja o 0:52
is the reloading system bugged? i tested the reloaderV argument with no reduction on reload time, while some firearms are certain to load slower than its shown stats.tested on the ferozium revolver with a 2s reload and stat showing 1.2s.
Sayter  [autor] 10 maja o 21:25
It means it now loads after FU in the load order.
无尽暴食大嘴花 10 maja o 12:48
hey,i see there is
* added weapon assembly mod to includes.
what is it means? do you put the mod 'weapon assembly' into fu? or make them work together?
i can't find Weapon assembly station(from weapon assembly) in fu.

Sayter  [autor] 10 maja o 11:38
someker: there is literally an incompatible list linked on the main page. Avoid those mods, and the problem is solved. And it is not a 'large number' - any that alter weapon LUA scripts will potentially conflict. Only a few mods do this. This is the nature of starbounds engine, and very little can be done that hasn't already been.
