@Cerce why would this be incompatible with frackin' universe
Mabra 23 nov 2024 om 8:37
What's a greeble ? Can you eat it ?
Storm_UK  [auteur] 2 apr 2020 om 2:32
wingking4D2, there should be no such item within this mod and it has very limited number of scripts (just some patches which add the tile names for access) so I don't know where your issue is stemming from but do not believe it is from this mod.
Cerce 25 mrt 2020 om 19:20
Has anyone noticed any issues with this mod, aside from any incompatibilities with frackin' universe?
wingking4D2 18 okt 2019 om 7:29
you have an item in your code called "extramissle" something or other that prevents it from being used in conjunction with frakin' universe on penGUIn causing a fatal error crashing the server. just a heads up.
ABlueHairedFox 24 mrt 2019 om 8:16
This mod needs pics of these tiles in use, otherwise, no clicks

You should put the "Furniture and Objects" tag on this so that people don't have to go out of their way to find this.
Neverward 4 okt 2017 om 23:34
Just wanted to say I love this mod ^^ been using it for a while. Really adds a ton of flavor to my colonies <3
Eshminima 5 sep 2017 om 8:50

Storm_UK  [auteur] 19 aug 2017 om 12:12
@SeekoDestroyer No problem, feel free
lyca 19 aug 2017 om 12:09
Hey!
Mind if I use these as a base for my own custom Greebles?
I'll just be changing the appearences to fit the respective ores.
KolincaRN 22 jul 2017 om 15:30
@llama_lord_52 look in FU, it might have something. There's also a liquid poop mod.

Vybbles 6 mei 2017 om 16:09
{Thanks! :D}
PandBread 5 mei 2017 om 4:28
thanks for the answer Storm.
Storm_UK  [auteur] 5 mei 2017 om 3:57
@GunXsin: No, as these are extra tiles / objects so the server itself would need the mod too (making it non-vanilla!)
@Wintersun: I should be able to do that when I find time.
PandBread 5 mei 2017 om 0:29
does this work on vanilla servers?
Vybbles 28 apr 2017 om 20:16
{Can you please make the serene, wave, executive etc. furniture craftable? It's really hard to get without spawning it right now. It's still cool anyway :3}
Serath 27 mrt 2017 om 11:02
Yeah, removing it makes the issue go away, but then some other unrelated error appears I"ve yet to figure out. However the issue only appears on dedicated servers. If I run a normal game (Steamworks) and even when others join in, Okea works fine and that error never appears.
Storm_UK  [auteur] 27 mrt 2017 om 3:41
Well I don't have a steelgirdir2 in this mod, which that object seems to be looking for using my mods name mistakenly in its file path. Looks to be an issue with the Okea Pixel Goods Store mod?
Serath 26 mrt 2017 om 19:05
I haven't even heard of this mod until for some reason this started showing up in my Starbound log:

[Error] Fatal Exception caught: (ObjectException) Error loading object '/objects/magma/okeamagmadoor2.object': (MaterialException) Error loading material file /tiles/materials/tilesandgreebles/steelgirdir2.material
Caused by: (AssetException) Error loading asset /tiles/materials/tilesandgreebles/steelgirdir2.png

Was lucky enough to find this mod browsing randomly. Is this mod a prerequisite for another mod? I get this error if I try to run a dedicated server of my computer. (Doesn't happen if I just play a game via Steamworks.)
AlexB 16 mrt 2017 om 16:15
you should do more solarium funiture stuff
MiKaz 20 jan 2017 om 0:13

@KaiserYoshi: I did adjust the way girders display with this mod, as previously a column of girders two tiles wide for example would be all horizontal girder tiles rather than a pair of vertical long girders. It looks like I need to further modify the tiling from your picture though, which should be a single horizontal beam.

The tiles toughness is based on vanilla assets: the higher end (opulent, doom, executive) tiles are indeed pretty hard to break. Apologies if thats an issue.
Kais 16 jan 2017 om 22:09
This mod seems to mess up the way some vanilla tiles behave, like these iron girders here [i.imgur.com]. Those vertical girders on the end should be horizontal. Ship supports, outpost support beams, and pressurized girders also seem to been hit likewise.

Another smaller issue: some of this mod's tiles take an annoyingly long time to break. Not so great for builders like me who have to tear down and replace things repeatedly while trying out block combinations!
Storm_UK  [auteur] 11 dec 2016 om 7:49
@Piana: Ah, thanks. Thats where I've changed to using the 'regular' name for a mod file (contents.pak) and uploaded it and the older greebles.pak. Fixed now. :)
Joseph 11 dec 2016 om 7:44
I noticed this warning.

Hehe. Have a good vacation then :3
Storm_UK  [auteur] 20 okt 2016 om 3:33
You're the second person to mention solarium. I'll add it to my to-do list. Got next week off w*rk so should get some stuff done. :)
Weaver 19 okt 2016 om 18:56
Ah, I might not have even seen it if you didn't mention it, but it looks nice.

Hm, a thought. I haven't seen anything that's made out of raw solarium. A solariam or solarium + gold set of bits would be pretty awesome, and it might go better with avian ship graphics than any of the other (metallic) blocks i've seen anywhere! :D
Storm_UK  [auteur] 19 okt 2016 om 3:48
@Weaver: Nice! I've fixed the Wave Girder / geometric girder icon. I also decided to do a little alteration with the wave panels after looking at your Hylotl ship picture, so they have left and right ending pieces now. :)
Weaver 18 okt 2016 om 7:43
So, I just spent like an hour redesigning my debug character's ship (instead of actually debugging things) and dang, the wave items go spectacularly well with the Hylotl ship. http://i.imgur.com/SUNsZDC.png ... now if only there was a metaly tile that actually went well with avian ships. ... Interesting side note: those flat greebles under the elevator can both go one space more inwards, but if you do that, the rail platform falls off at the bottom instead of hitting the bumper O.o.
Weaver 18 okt 2016 om 6:48
@Storm_UK Hey, dunno about the greebles yet but the tiles have definatly seeped into my construction... noticed one oddity, probably a typo/pasto in the code: Wave Girder has Geometric Girder's inventory icon [i.imgur.com] . (I only even noticed this because I loaded up on blue stuff to go build an ice ocean base :D)
Weaver 18 okt 2016 om 6:46
@Obie_wan_perogie In the "real" world greebles come from model-making for starships and such for film (apparently the oldest known use of the word was the Star Wars crew), and refers to the various panels and grooves and other 'angular, high tech' bits that fill out the space and add texture to the large flat surfaces of your ships. Of course the 3d modelers when right on with it and there have been numerous scripts to automatically add greebles to 3d meshes; which have since been expanded to do things like generate random buildings city backgrounds. And the word's also expanded to mean 'complicated looking high-tech eye-candy that doesn't seem to do anything except maybe increase surface area', and here we are. Also google isearch 'greeble' [www.google.com] for many examples per second.
Storm_UK  [auteur] 25 sep 2016 om 12:56
That suggests to me it was some tile id conflict, though not aware of another mod using the same range as this one presently. :(
Mobile Meow Machine 25 sep 2016 om 11:48
@Storm_UK: Sadly no, it was a couple days ago and the server removed the mod when it happened
Storm_UK  [auteur] 25 sep 2016 om 2:03
@Minigun54: The greebles are various objects which I made to match the tiles and can be placed attached vertically, horizontally, on the inside/outside of corners etc. depending on the greeble to add a little extra decorative flair.
Storm_UK  [auteur] 25 sep 2016 om 2:01
@Princess Kitten Paws: Can you link a copy of the starbound.log file in pastebin.com or the like after such a crash please?
Mobile Meow Machine 24 sep 2016 om 15:06
@Storm_UK: It was caused by any tile from the mod, period. I tried it a multitude of different times, and each time it immediately caused a CTD and the planet was re-generated.
Obi-ron 24 sep 2016 om 14:42
what is a greeble
Storm_UK  [auteur] 24 sep 2016 om 2:48
@Princess Kitten Paws: Thats unusual. Maybe there is a conflict with another tile mod? Was the crash caused by any particular tile?
Mobile Meow Machine 23 sep 2016 om 20:49
Trying to place a tile from this mod causes a CTD and the planet is regenerated.
Obi-ron 12 sep 2016 om 14:09
i dont even know what greebles are but i like the tiles
Storm_UK  [auteur] 21 aug 2016 om 1:08
@Omega[The Locust]: Thanks. Not sure what else to call them - the ID# is basically the old metal tier letter (Titanium to Impervium), the shape (L for corner greebles, C for 'clamp' straight greebles, which anchor at each end) and the size. Given that the name can only be so long to fit in the tooltip. :)
Omega[The Locust] 20 aug 2016 om 16:42
Really digging the new stuff to play with; well done! That being said, I would really prefer if they had proper names rather than just "Greeble-[ID#]". Looking through the list kind of hurts my brain.
Storm_UK  [auteur] 17 aug 2016 om 14:39
They are all available from the Industrial Workbench. I should add that to the mod description :)
Dust 17 aug 2016 om 14:35
Where do I craft these?
GwenBlanketSpecter 14 aug 2016 om 10:46
I love this mod. Thank you for making it.
Solzucht 4 aug 2016 om 0:28
they are compatible :)
