Too Bright? Change your LUT, get Ultimate Eyecandy and/or Relight, which allow you to change brightness settings.
Grass appearance looks like video game? You can adjust the tiling setting use Theme Mixer 2
Dont like Roads? Use Them mixer 2 to pick the road textures from another theme.

It's a beautiful adjustment, my only downside is that it appears to directly affect the Intersection Marking Tool with road markings, they just aren't really visible. Is there a fix that you can recommend?

The grass looks a lot better but the roads are so bright I can't even see the lanes or anything on them, they're just... white. Wish I could use it for the grass but the roads ruin it for me.

I'm having difficulties getting the textures to show up in my game. Is there any way to have them show up in the game? It looks like the default textures for me. Mh, the screenshots look really nice and I like the textures. Sadly, it is WAY too bright in the current version of the game. I can hardly look at my roads due to all the bloom.

At first, I really loved this mod and the way it radically changed the textures. Of late however, it does not seem to work when I reload a save I've been using it with, and I cannot apply it to most of the maps. This might be an issue on my end with mods conflicting but I don't see what could be causing this.

Yes, unfortunately the white gravel looks good for railroads but not for dirt roads, they look way too white and bright.
