I highly recommend Banditry: Fur Armor mod for this.

Perfect, I no longer look like a walking post box, thanks!

love this mod for the fact that it doesn't just invisible your helmet but gives you a real reason to decide whether or not to wear one outside of aesthetics.
Vie 19. sep. 2020 kl. 3.46
Hey! Love the mod! Whats the mod of the hair in the 1st pic tho? :D
Kad 17. sep. 2020 kl. 23.53
are the Circlets able to be improved - armoured at the table ?? I had a mod that did that and can't find it - I'm hoping it's one of your fabulous ones thank you
Weylin 8. juni 2020 kl. 15.39
Does this work with Ordinator?
BLIMINGTON BUTT 31. des. 2019 kl. 19.16
Thank you thank you thank you! (That's my review)

@Mutant , The answer is NO, putting on a helmet of the opposite class will DISABLE the perk. Only helmetless, clothing helm (hood, circlet), or matching class helmet will work.
If you want to have a helmet of the opposite class use https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7665 . It doesn't have the helmetless bonuses that this one does, but it does allow 1 item to be of a different class.
mutant 30. nov. 2018 kl. 5.40
how do the mod process information about helmets that doesn't match the set wearing ?
does it cancel the perk, or is it still activated if you wear something else than a matching helmet ? (for example, full heavy set, and a light helmet)
mmszoli 16. nov. 2018 kl. 10.22
What is your problem with helmets?I like helmets
TheGoronMan 12. juli 2018 kl. 23.47

I've got to say, I love your mods, sp0ckrates! They all have some level of immersion to them, and I can't help but subscribe to most of your stuff! Mayhaps when I have the time/money, I would be able to donate to you!

Loriethalion 1. des. 2017 kl. 1.23
I went back about a full year in the comments (page 20+), and didn't find my question, so here's to hoping. If i wear Heavy armor set(legs, chest, hands) with a light armor headgear, will it still work?
DraeneiXirena 1. nov. 2017 kl. 22.32
Hey spock! Starting to get into Skyrim again finally (baby is walking and almost a year old) and I'm just wanting to make sure that circlets are gonna be fine for my armor with this perk cuz there's a circlet mod that I absolutely LOVE (by Johnskyrim) and he has both mage and regular armor versions of his circlets and I have certain looks I love that I wanna use but not if they conflict at all.
Slytherite 10. aug. 2017 kl. 0.29
hm, it seems this mod is somehow affecting "brawls" like the NPC in Whiterun's tavern where you pay 100 septims and have a fist fight with her. with the mod on for some reason, she'll just pull our her sword and actually try to kill you rather than the normal fist fight, I turn off the mod and the fight goes normally...any idea why this mod would do that?

what kind of armor is the dark elf wearing in the 4th pic in
Kad 13. juni 2017 kl. 3.16
umm. I have a question my brain cannot figure
I use the mod 'Aesthetic Circlets as a Helmet' by that your advantages will not apply ?
or is it that since it is not an actual Helmet, just a circlet you can armour, your advantages do apply ?? I took the other mod off, but then there is no point to a circlet, and I want the extra 'look' - Please help, sorry it's so annoying
Many thanks for all your time and energy and generosity in sharing with us. Be Well.
Kinne 4. mai 2017 kl. 16.02
Dammit. The single biggest reason to use this mod is so mages can use dragon priest masks while benefitting from the mage armor perk. And it doesn't do that >.<
DOCTOR LAUNDROMAFIA 22. apr. 2017 kl. 14.42
@Krieg - If it was added by a mod it probably takes up a numbered slot. It should be fine.

@Nox Interna - This mod is for personal preference. Although I'm probably not gonna pick it up, I mostly play in 3rd person. It's the only way I can aim my bow. First person just feels wrong.

Jormungandr 17. feb. 2017 kl. 12.19
will the perks still take effect if i use a simple mask, that only covers the mouth
Nox Interna 16. feb. 2017 kl. 1.15
i love cenimatic play (3rd person), but it's harder to play than 1st person, so i do play 1st person almost all the time. i don't see my face anyway, so i dont really need a reason to show it. its not like this is ESO where the art of my face is visible to the world. the buffs for no helmet makes no sense to me. id rather not change combat mechanics unless you feel like wearing a helmet should hinder some aspect of combat like giving you tunnel vision, but even then, people would just switch to 3rd person view during combat to see where the heck everyone is (lol, as if skyrim didn't already give you tunnel vision in 1st person view). anyway, if your beautiful creation really needs to be shown off, consider adding diablo3 mechanics like a transmogrifier/illusion mage to change armor outward appearance but still give you the same stats, and dye to change the color of your armor, including an invisibility dye.
jumarbye 5. feb. 2017 kl. 16.34
This is great - I prefer not to wear a helmet! I use Frostfall, so I still need extra warmth, but now it doesn't matte if I wear an unarmored hood that keeps me warm (right?)!
Scruffy 27. jan. 2017 kl. 2.49
This seems a little unbalance??? Just me...
Schrödingers Katze 5. jan. 2017 kl. 4.03
Thank you sooo much! I was praying for something like this since ever. I play Khajit characters and putting a helmet on my char, pressing the ears flat onto her skull allways rubbed me the wrong way. Also, now it finaly does not feel like they force me to wear helmets with my character anymore, so leveling those perk trees ahoi.^^

Only thing that irks me a bit is that now even more of my game is in english, since I play the german version (with lots of mods for new weapons etc that only come with english names) but hey, that is prolly just me.^^

thanks spr0cket, not sure how to do it but I'll look into it
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 21. des. 2016 kl. 14.23
@Mina: This mod and several other mods from the sp0ckrates Workshop are also available for SSE.
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 21. des. 2016 kl. 14.22
@Mina: If your PC can handle it, you can get a free upgrade from Steam, now that you have all of the DLCs and play Skyrim Special Eition, with the mods on Bethesda.net . You can search mods right from the game, without using your web browser, if you want. After installing Special Edition, you can still use the original edition. They're now separate games from Steam.
Epic Doom Kitten 6. des. 2016 kl. 11.55
just got a copy of legendary edition from my roomie after having basic for forever due to a best buy thing where i practically paid no money for it, so now i am wanting to restart and play again but i always hated how i had to take a hit to my functionality if i didn't want to wear a helmet. gonna try your mod because this is awesome to get something out of not wearing one, and to have the perks not be taken away. thank you so much for making this.
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 28. nov. 2016 kl. 14.20
Kinne : Good point! I think the thought is that if you don't land on your feet, the rest of you will be more protected.

Does this mod work properly on XB1? I see the new language in the perk tree, but my armor rating goes down when I remove my helmet. Load order doesn't seem to fix it.
Magpie 14. nov. 2016 kl. 8.43
Apoologies is this has been asked before, but: what is the armour in the fourth pic, the second one with a character? The Dunmer?
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 10. nov. 2016 kl. 10.58
Tajealos: Currently working on uploading Special Edition mods to Bethesda, so ask again in a few months. But we do upload mods to Nexus immediately for anyone who makes a donation.
Tajealos 9. nov. 2016 kl. 23.42
Hey sp0ckrates, just wondering:
Do you have any plans on uploading this to the Nexus?

Just asking because I'm an incompetent fool who can't grasp the concept of using two platforms to manage mods simultaneously
I like to keep all my mods in one place, and I'm not too sure how Nexus and Steam mods would interact with each other.

This is definitely the best 'helmetless perks' mod I've seen, and I really don't want to miss out on it just because it might interfere with my Nexus-based mods.

can you make a version for the special edition? there are versions where you dont need helmets but so far none of them are as good as yours :(
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 3. nov. 2016 kl. 14.45
Kitten : Now you can show your face!
Seraphisk 3. nov. 2016 kl. 13.10
this is so clever, i love it. i love games to be realistic so i understand the need to wear full suits of protection n stuff including helmets but i spent an hour switching between one hair style and another....i wanna see that hair for the next 100 hours..it was a very carefully calculated decision and its fabulous.

sp0ckrates  [skaper] 19. sep. 2016 kl. 5.13
To test that it works for armor added by mods, equip the armor and a helmet and check the damage shown for a weapon. Then remove the helmet and see if the damage increases.
sp0ckrates  [skaper] 19. sep. 2016 kl. 5.11
MaBra: Depends on the armor.
Mabra 19. sep. 2016 kl. 2.21
Does it work on armor and weapons added by DLCs and mods?
