@GCVos I fully agree with the previous post -- a tutorial on how to use this would be greatly appreciated!
_Spontini 13 nov. 2020 la 18:09
I wish someone make a tutorial video or something like this to show how to use these, because no matter i did i couldn't fit those in.
Azem 31 mart. 2018 la 19:58
They seem really pretty but I havent managed to make them work, there is any way to make them more easier to place?
lys_knight 17 oct. 2017 la 5:47
I am sorry to say that these are much too complicated to set in position.
Banijssen 23 sept. 2017 la 3:21
Sir, this is great.... But I find the adjusting too much work, if you want to use these nice walls over a long strecth. Could'nt you also make the same wall that just takes the road heigt as given and needs no adjusting and just has a standard angel downward>? Just like the others Quays. So no adjusting of the ground underneath is necessary only the digging out of the canal?

I have tried to use them close to a river, but the sidewalk is behaving strangely, it rises. I used the terraforming tool to create the cliff, but should I keep some land between the road and the cliff?
electronicLight 30 ian. 2016 la 18:59
I'd like to use this asset, but I don't know how. Don't you have any screenshots on how to use it or anything like this?
GCVos  [autor] 20 ian. 2016 la 1:11
You're welcome, i also love this texture, I reuse it a lot!
I'm not gonna alter / update these no, they are kind of a pain to make work with the shader...
Accapulco 19 ian. 2016 la 12:30
Thanks for all your canal assets. Is there any way you could re-do these walls? I prefer the look of these to all other seawalls in the workshop (the trees don't disappear and I love the wall texture) but they need to be not slanted on the front and need different pieces (90 degree in/out curves, etc).
Marmalade 3 dec. 2015 la 7:10
Well it's where I found the pieces for some reason.
GCVos  [autor] 3 dec. 2015 la 4:12
It shouldn't be, should be at the back of the park menu.
Marmalade 30 nov. 2015 la 17:34
Ok so I figured out where the asset went to. It's apparently only usable in the Map Editor.
JoeZuCK 25 oct. 2015 la 9:07
Got it. Real hard to place these proper though :)
GCVos  [autor] 25 oct. 2015 la 8:40
Yes there's a UI bug I haven't been able to fix. You may have to scroll down and they should appear.
JoeZuCK 24 oct. 2015 la 12:11
Me neither Keith. Where can I find these assets?
Marmalade 12 oct. 2015 la 15:57
I can't see to find this or the other Canal Wall in the park menu. Is it some sort of bug?
Breadboi 10 oct. 2015 la 13:16
Thanks
GCVos  [autor] 10 oct. 2015 la 9:41
I'd say a week or so, probably earlier if my intended tweaks work out well enough.
Breadboi 9 oct. 2015 la 21:27
Could I get a time estimate for when the static blocks will be out?
GCVos  [autor] 9 oct. 2015 la 4:41
There's gonna be new wall blocks soon with variable textures, industrial and/or metropolitan are both good options....
media 9 oct. 2015 la 1:47
Hi, great asset!
It would be great if you could make a more "industrial" version of this – without trees, lights, railings and other details and in stead with a more concrete-ish look. Basically just removing all the beautiful stuff and replacing the textures with nice concrete ones. This way you could use it either as a high-end waterfront quay or as an industrial quay/dock. Perhaps with outside and inside corner pieces as well so you can connect longer stretches of quay?

Something like this:

I did have two of Breezes trees which I really liked, but they all died out due to the water. The conifers were the only ones I could find that remained goodlooking.

I have found these walls are quite hard to use, and easy to mess up. I've seen some of the other walls out there including the seawall, and I'm working on something similar right now with a more metropolitan styling. These ones I will keep online for those who like the functionality / look, but I'm not gonna continue with the deformation method.
ez1 6 oct. 2015 la 12:23
I'm glad you liked the suggestion to swap out default trees for static ones, that would make them much more useful. Breeze has many good foliage props, though the trees tend to be too bright or deep forest green. The game's tree palette is pretty yellow and Breeze's trees tend to stick out. This is a problem with alot of modders, who don't respect the existing tonalities and texture palette -- though your work blends in effortlessly.

BTW, Mas71 has very good industrial-style seawalls in concrete, so the users here asking for a concrete variant should check them out; no need to repeat them.
L2 6 oct. 2015 la 2:32
Can you do a modern version? I liked this item, but the theme of my city is modern/futuristic
GCVos  [autor] 5 oct. 2015 la 18:56
Possibly yes, I will see what I can do though they might have to become part of the concrete variant.
Baleur 5 oct. 2015 la 18:41
Any chance for a Robusta Short Palm version? Conifers dont fit well in tropical settings :)
GCVos  [autor] 5 oct. 2015 la 12:15
It's possible yes, though for now I would prefer to keep the walkways the same concrete style so they remain seamless.
Baleur 5 oct. 2015 la 10:17
May i be so bold to make yet another request (on top of the already excellent concrete style request)?
I would love a version with your pink cobblestone. Would look amazing in an urban city, not to mention next to the pink busways of Traffic++
Baleur 5 oct. 2015 la 10:16
YES yes yes yes. Amazing.
GCVos  [autor] 5 oct. 2015 la 6:21
Thank you! I completely agree about the trees, I'm planning to swap them out for other tree props. I'm gonna dig through some of Breeze his foliage to see which one fits best and update the assets this week. :)

I can definitely redo these in a more concrete style. I agree they don't blend very well with harbor / metropolitan stuff.
ez1 5 oct. 2015 la 0:54
Great addition but as others have pointed out, trees die on the shoreline and makes using these problematic with them (for me at least).

There's another sea wall set with the same problem; nice line of thick green trees that looks great until you plop it, then the trees die off. Perhaps there's a way to un-tree the trees so they are static, IDK but worth a look-see.
Liamcarr10 4 oct. 2015 la 14:28
this will make a more better looking river
keep it up
[TB] NickyZero 4 oct. 2015 la 6:00
Just awesome work :D
core79 4 oct. 2015 la 3:34
Your canal segments are great! I would be happy if coming more. Clearly thumbs up !
il_padrino 4 oct. 2015 la 3:18
PS. I agree with what Aly said, a version without trees wouldbe great, that way one could make something like this http://www.liviocrovatto.com/simplegallery/images/060trieste.jpg
il_padrino 4 oct. 2015 la 2:30
Yessss, you are my hero :) This is just the thing I was suggesting you to do in my previous comments, thank you :)
Friction 4 oct. 2015 la 0:27
Would you be interested in making industrial concrete versions of these, like seawalls in harbors? Seaside industry stuff would look a _lot_ better with something like this available!
SwtTeas 3 oct. 2015 la 20:08
I love the wall texture, looks very nice. Curious if you could make some without trees? Or perhaps using the 'Illuminated Holiday Tree (PROP)' on the workshop? I just always hate how the trees on these walls die :( Looks very odd unless your whole city has fall trees. I also could be mistaken but the "Conifer" and "pine tree"s on the workshop don't seem effected by water, although they have a more christmas look to them. Decorative lamp post would probably look great, too. Just some suggestions - love your canal assets lately! :)
GCVos  [autor] 3 oct. 2015 la 16:08
Curves will not work with the current method, cornerblocks may be possible. For now, try using the 1x2. ;)
PumpkinXXL 3 oct. 2015 la 16:07
Nice, are you making Curves and Corners too?
GCVos  [autor] 3 oct. 2015 la 15:55
:D
Captain-No 3 oct. 2015 la 15:54
Thumbs up
