@Jikerfish, it's offical designation is A-10 Thunderbolt II, the pilots called it the "Warthog" because, well, a lot of them thought it was the ugliest aircraft they'd ever seen. At least until they flew them in Desert Storm and realized that the aircraft could have the shit shot out of it and still make it back to the airfield. I belive one recorded sortie saw the pilot take well over 200+ bullet holes of varying calibers to the plane, with several primary and secondary systems shot out, and still made it back, along with the pilot climbing out of the cockpit without a scratch on him because of the Titanium armor that surrounds the cockpit. Lol, once they began to admire the aircraft for what it could do, "Warthog" stuck, but, it had a somewhat different meaning then.

it could use an audio replacer, since the A-10 has a distinctive whine its engines give off. Other than that though, it's awesome :D

This would make alot of sense, concluding that the A-10 was a heavy-anti-armor fighter, and the F-16/18 that are gennerally on the map are usually only equipped with cruise missles. So the extensive damage done to the bridge can be justified.

+hoods blade The A-10 was more of an Anti-Armour gunship. They are used to destroy heavy armour that infantry couldn't handle. The A-10 was built to carry the GAU-8 Avenger, which is an Anti-Tank autocannon.

You know, the purpose of A-10 "Thunderbolts" are used for ground assault from the air. So technically speaking, it is more likely that we see this kind of aircraft doing bombing runs in cities, like in "The Parish". So, I can only say this: Thank you.
