They don't show up in-game for me. I have 8 hat slots labelled with the characters' names but they're all invisible.

Only if everybody has the exact same mods. There is a way to get it working in any online match, just read my last 2 comments to find out how.

Apparently filedropper removed my upload. I uploaded it to google drive instead, just click the link in the description and press the download icon in top middle of the page.

When I followed the link to filedropper I was directed their login/home page, I thought maybe getting the free trial would allow me to access the link so I made an account but I still couldn't get the .hat files so I cancelled the subscription right away for filedropper. If you can help me out I'd like to try again later :)

To get the hats working in any online match, click the filedropper link in the description and download the .zip file. When it's done open the .zip and drag all the .hat files into the same folder that DuckGame.exe is in, the path is usually somthing like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Duck Game\

If you have any workshop mods (including hats), you can't join a online match unless everybody has the exact same mods.
To get these hats working in any online match, use the filedropper link I put in the description.
