The required mod for this has been abandoned and the author explicitly states not to use it. Can this stadium be made to function without it?
steven.broussos 21 Eki 2022 @ 20:13
Could you please create an NRL stadium?
CydonianKnight21 6 Eyl 2021 @ 13:37
Sub buildings are built into the asset editor now. Somebody needs to update these if the mod author won't
lcolbyjr 31 Tem 2021 @ 20:33
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. ONCE I SUBSCRIBED TO THE LARGER FOOTPRINT MOD AS YOU INSTRUCTED IN THE NOTES ON YOUR PAGE HERE; IT WORKED GREAT.
apching 18 Ağu 2020 @ 1:12
Anyone know if this still works? Or if there are any other cricket grounds in the workshop - I couldn't see any
Ingall 17 Haz 2020 @ 22:03
Is there any way to get this working again?
Maihess 19 Haz 2016 @ 21:45
Richie Benaud would be proud ;-)
Engioc 19 May 2016 @ 3:35
Hey mate just wondering if you plan to update this asset to use the newer Sub-Buildings Enabler mod. I notice boformer says its better not to use the older Larger Footprints (Snowfall).
gregory house 24 Oca 2016 @ 22:24
What tab is it located in? I just went there to see a T20 Match!!!!!!
Johno69R 21 Oca 2016 @ 7:08

@Shroomblaze: I don't know if a large building outside a grid can create bugs. When I made my first assets outside of the allowed grid (no LF), the terrain around them looked weird. I'll see to look into it before Christmas, possibly.
Leo Mystic Magic 5 Ara 2015 @ 15:17
Hey whatif_85 I was wrong about the sub building enabler. You actually can keep the stadium as a solid piece. Drosovila did it with his latest stadium so maybe you might want to do that?
Dizzië 30 Kas 2015 @ 16:37
What about an australian football stadium ? It would be cool, too. ^^
geecko  [yaratıcı] 14 Kas 2015 @ 18:26
OK, I see now. There might be a few other assets I may consider using the new mod, but this stadium should stay with LF. When I read 'deprecated' I expected bugs.
Leo Mystic Magic 14 Kas 2015 @ 18:15
Just from how it works you'll probably not want to update. It uses a modular system of max 16x8 park sizes. So you would have to literally cut up your stadiums into section and make individual modular pieces and make them connect in a certain way for it to work. It's a lot of work for you Im sure having to cut the stadiums up and shit. Just better off using Larger Footprints and keeping it this way.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 14 Kas 2015 @ 18:13
@Shroomblaze: I'll have to investigate the way it works before I re-upload the asset, though.
Leo Mystic Magic 14 Kas 2015 @ 18:11
I still think larger footprints has merit.
Leo Mystic Magic 14 Kas 2015 @ 18:10
well, the new mod has a limit of 16x8 modules so you would have to cut the thing in parts which might lead to a bunch of issues with normals and such.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 2 Kas 2015 @ 19:49
@Shroomblaze: Thanks, I'll see to look into it next time.
Leo Mystic Magic 2 Kas 2015 @ 19:41
Hey, They are looking really good now. I think the illumination on the field and seating looks super good! Glad you chose to do that. I have no issues with it and would use it regardless if you fixed this one tiny problem still. http://i.imgur.com/b2ThCOV.jpg You can see on the corners there is some random light still on the roof. Other than that I will still use these, thanks for the update! :chirp:
geecko  [yaratıcı] 2 Kas 2015 @ 18:35
Asset updated!
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 20:41
@Shroomblaze: Sounds good! I'm working on a workaround to place lights on all towers. Fingers crossed...
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 20:04
also another suggestion, Maybe you could add an illumination to the field itself? Maybe it might look good because the lights are supposed to be shining on the field. I'm not talking a big illumination, maybe like 1,1,1, - 5,5,5 range. Almost black, It might give off enough light to make it look like its being lit up. Worth a look I think.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 14:58
Got it, thanks! Let's see if I can optimize asset size too in the process...
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 14:50
I save mine as PNG-24
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 14:48
Do you compress your .png files when saving on Photoshop?
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 14:43
Well, some of my recent things I've done in png format. Jpeg is still good imo (Maybe not for bigger assets) but not for the lod. I've found that using jpeg for lods with the new illumination system is just a bad idea. When you save the lod textures as jpeg you will get compression loss and have illumination issues. Best to save the lod textures as PNG for crisp illumination lines without and distortion.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 14:39
@Shroomblaze: I got rid of the glowing lines, but the map still needs some tweaking before I update. What format do you use for your maps, compressed .png or high-quality .jpg? The game automatically compresses textures, but I want good quality and light files.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 13:55
Ok, I'll see what I can do. Thanks!
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 13:54
I used black background on 120 areas and 192 on everything else, but probably the glowing lines may be the edges between 192 and black. I'll be fixing them soon. What about using an all-black background? Any differences from pre-AD?

(Sorry, I edited post while you were answering)
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 13:53
All black background will give you the lines around the edges of windows that glow a bit if you are trying to use the upper 128-255 range. Black background should be used for the lower 1-120 range and I actually like to keep the brightest setting at 118 instead of 120, I don't like it being so closer to the border there either because when I go to bake lod textures it might bleed into the 121 range.
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 13:03
ok, so for the glowing lines around the windows you can fix that by setting your entire background to 192,192,192. That will be considered no illuminated. Use that instead of black. For Diffuse colored illumination that is in the 120 and under range, then you use want to use a black background for those areas because I find that using 192 can cause problems when I go to bake lod textures. As far as your lined areas go I'm not sure how you created your model so I can't really give you advice on where to start to fix those. Hope you figure it out though.
geecko  [yaratıcı] 1 Kas 2015 @ 12:55
@Shroomblaze I'm trying to understand how AD lighting works here. I read the guide here on Steam, but I'm still a bit confused about a few things.

Currently I have problems like these glowing lines you mentioned, others like 'bordered lit windows' and so on... all probably Photoshop/Asset Editor converting issues. Unfortunately, CSL takes a huge toll on my RAM and it's hard to use Photoshop as well. I'm still playing around with my other buildings in the meantime. Some people already managed to figure them out pretty nicely, but I'll see to keep my assets updated as I proceed. Thanks for your feedback!
Leo Mystic Magic 1 Kas 2015 @ 12:05
Ok so I saw you reddit post and I have some critique. I've noticed on all of your large stadiums that they have these glowing lines all over them, you can see them in the tops of the lights, at the base and around the whole stadium in general some are big and some are small. Hoping you will fix these issues. Thanks! http://i.imgur.com/XnY27UF.jpg

@Roryhg14 Our stadiums are ad-free. We are however working with the utility adviser about fixing our lighting system. Thank you for your patience!

ad?

You should consider making those giant stadium lights a stand alone asset. It would be really awesome to be able to place them wherever you want!
PzSniper 16 Ağu 2015 @ 10:02
got it, and answered in other asset
