This only replaces the textures. I made a mod to replace the sounds too, but I think it's broken now so I might have to redo it.

Does this include the original Vortugant sounds and voices from half-life 1? I always preferred that over the Half-life 2 sounds

I've subscribed to this addon so I can make my gameplay look more like the original game, then downloaded the classic Vortigaunt skin. They're compatible! They don't have crotch plates in HL1 ffs. I told the devs they were lazy dicks for not fixing that his cuffs almost every day. Those models come from the old HL2 built and are meant to be seen far away and only have half his wrists covered. So much work into things that really don't matter, but they have a HL2 beta texture and model just kicking it to the final build that looks outrageous.

Nice Job. You worked really hard on these Vortigaunts though to be Alien Slaves. People are Proud.

in the first version of Half-Life 2, pre-Orange Box, the Vortigaunt's had very wrinkled, dry skin. Very unhealthy. I noticed that the concept art for Half Life had a similar thing, you could try to replicate that if you like.

It changes the model fine, but it also makes all the Vorts in the game stuck in T-pose...

HL1 Vorts weren't covered in holes. They had spots, but they were not covered with holes.

i think it would of looked better with the old half life 2 vortigaunt model

What do you mean a new model. Couldn't you just change the colors?

@TheAwesomeGuy The shotgun would need a new model, so somebody else will have to do that, and the hivehand already looks like the original to me, so if I change that it will probably be part of an alien grunt skin.

Oh ok. Then what else are you going to work on? I'd love to see the shotgun. Or the hive hand.

@TheAwesomeGuy I probably won't do the suit. If I do, I'll probably wait until the game is finished.

I started working on it last month, but the differences were barely noticeable, and it would probably just end up like the gluon gun skin I made.

So what's next? What about the hev suit.
