Whenever The Gunship lands in its crash point, It turns into a broken heli. Not a crashed gunship.

The hunter-chopper one only works if you have HL2:EP2 Mounted.

well in Half Life 2 (the first half life 2 not any episodes) i shot down the gunship (SPOILER) at the bridge where you jumped over the gunship with the jeep and i shot it down, and it didnt explode it went ragdolling crashing down at me. Nearly hit me too.

its not impossible to fix the helicopter, you just need the tool to spawn a self-destruct point at the crash pont.

Lmao, If you use this on a map without Ai Nodes, The gunship just constantly explodes, forever. It's impossible for you to fix this Dev, I just noticed this is a funny bug.

@Meeps as its the normal fall points from the Hammer editor, they would need to be programmed so the choppers and gunships target it as crash point

@Seaal Cox™ The entity name is npc_helicpoter. Not sure if you already knew but just wanted to point it out. Anyway typing it in does work but it needs to be put into the console serveral times because the command initiates a sort of peice-by-peice destruction.

It seems the only way to stop the helicopter from constantly exploding at it's point is do tell the console to selfdestruct it. (Exp: Assume helicopter's name is heli: ent_fire heli selfdestruct)

in non episodic Half-Life 2, a gunship crashes at a specified point in chapter Highway 17, when you're driving around in the jeep. So we DEFINETELY wouldn't need Episode 1
