@PatBateman 5% sounds about right, but in the comment I made earlier I meant that Dubai is built from oil money, as it was a oil city before the tourism.

And about the map; I made it this big because this way you can build houses on the island, when you make it narrower it becomes harder/imposible.

And a map for downtown Dubai; too me that seems a little boring "you could just make a lake with the terraforming mod".

But I hope you like the current map enough to use it. (tip: if you use the tunnel tool you can make services reach till the end of the palms)

I think only 5% of the Dubai GDP is from oil industry, most comes from financial or and real estate economy and also tourism.

Like the Map, but do you think it is possible to create a map from this area -Dubai Marina -to Downtown Dubai? I think its about 12-15km but The Palm alone looks very very huge.
