I like this mod, I play in 5120x1440 and the population counter kinda overlaps the real population so having the option to change the placement would be nice
Erasmo 30. jan. 2023 kl. 11.29
Hey! is this mod being updated? It was one of my basics

模拟城市人口
Cuirassier 23. des. 2018 kl. 13.10
Yeah I agree, but this is just for imagination's sake you know it's really harmless
TTV/scuderiadeaderpool 22. sep. 2018 kl. 12.36
@Todd ''Delet Degenerates'' Howard at least in this game the little number you see every single one of those is a simulated cim with his own job, house and family
unlike simcity where everyone shares everything and not even every sim is simulated
Young Drachma 10. sep. 2018 kl. 20.59
still a great mod thanks again!!
Cuirassier 12. apr. 2018 kl. 6.45
@DragonRyder75 I don't understand your twattery regarding this mod. The simulated numbers in the game aren't in any way realistic, I don't see what's wrong with wanting a neat little (more) realistic estimate of what the population for a city that size would be
Just a can of Dr. Pepper 11. des. 2017 kl. 3.54
This mod is for you wen you suck at the game and the game wants to make you feal good so it does this so say hay look what you done your a big boy now (: then you stop crying and asking your mom for new games
harveyboy83 22. mai 2017 kl. 8.28
Thanks for this mate
Chris6d 24. jan. 2017 kl. 9.18
So this mod just displays a false and exaggerated population? Not hating, I'm just asking.

Here is the source code for this mod if you want to tinker with it:

Excellent mod. Thanks. Has always worked great with zero problems and huge improvement on immersion. For district populations, I just multiple a % of the C:S population to figure out how much of the fudged pop. lives in each district, not a big deal.
backtim8r 22. okt. 2016 kl. 15.16
I like your mod a lot! Have used since the start. Even though fudged, the number feels much more realistic than the Vanilla one. I would even go further and multiply it with another factor (maybe a future setting?)

Anyway. I am also stopping by to ask whether you are aware of this project: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=781767563 . Couldn't you collaborate with iinsnian to make this a module/plug-in of Extended Panel?

It might be just me... but since Snowfall, I cannot use this mod anymore. (Having the mod enabled covers over the thermometer of Snowfall.)
AvPAl 31. mars 2016 kl. 3.36
how to edit for yourself?
Grandsome 30. des. 2015 kl. 12.09
Not sure if there's a conflict between extended toolbar mod or if it's my 2560x1080 rez that's the problem, but my fudge pop number's overlapping the happiness smiley.

I like to fudge
Choirmaestro 12. juli 2015 kl. 19.53
to roberto, whether or not the population actually is already fudged, i can say as someone who lived in a town of 15,000 (with no towns for 10+ miles) that you will not find a single skyscraper, unlike what you find in cities skylines. the nearest town with skyscrapers (and, at that are only about 20-30 stories tall) to me was over 180 miles away, with a population of nearly 200,000. so bravo on the realism that this mod adds!
roberto tomás 27. mars 2015 kl. 8.05
this gameactually already fudges the population numbers — or at least shows people as part of the population who want to move in but have yet to do so. Start a game with all mods off and watch the populationa s it climbs to 40 .. around that time, pause it and then count the number of residents in each building. I am getting about ~15 about then.
Deadshot Omega 26. mars 2015 kl. 12.37
I'd like to second Mengy's idea! This is a hilarious addition to the game. Thank you very much!
Artophwar 26. mars 2015 kl. 0.11
No issue for me with Auto line color or any other mod. This works great.
koolin_  [skaper] 24. mars 2015 kl. 14.50
I would suggest you check with the author of auto line color, all this mod does is add a UI element with a number. It does not modify any of the running simulation data or modify existing UI elements so I would find it unlikely this mod is the cause of your save game issues.
Ecogeek 23. mars 2015 kl. 18.26
Looks like it is conflicting with Auto Line Color - I haven't lost everything, just everything I've done today.
Ecogeek 23. mars 2015 kl. 18.20
Word to the wise, this mod will completely break your save game and any new subsequent games if you are using other mods. I have been trying to isolate which mod is conflicting with it, but I have been unable to get consistent results. So yeah, I have to start over fresh with NO MODS in order to play the game now.
KJIIOIIIKA 19. mars 2015 kl. 2.15
Fudged population for each district would be awesome? The option to hide the original pop would be cool too. Thanks for your work, the numbers feel more realistic now, given the size of my city
Erocco 17. mars 2015 kl. 21.10
Is it possible to share your source code as I think this mod fudges the population too much for my liking.
ollj 17. mars 2015 kl. 12.30
no. i would want this game to be poop-free. poop is only used to power my dams.
Mengy 17. mars 2015 kl. 9.29
LOL, this is a damn funny mod! It would be great if you had a button on the UI next to the number to click the fudged pop on and off, with some snarky tooltips when it's turned on to boot!
FuhMuh 17. mars 2015 kl. 7.05
Is it possible to change the possition? cause its behind city statistics and clock ;(
AndyNumbaWan 17. mars 2015 kl. 6.42
can you make it look nice on the UI? :P
HMSOpSys 16. mars 2015 kl. 4.51
@Gentoo it's cookie clicker all over again!
Gentoo 15. mars 2015 kl. 15.17
Friend watching me play with this mod on noticed "Fudged Population" and asked me what on earth I am doing to my citizens. I told her I was turning them into delicious candy.
Rock 15. mars 2015 kl. 9.43
@sclarke27 lol
poolfence 15. mars 2015 kl. 0.07
This is great! Opera below had a great suggestion! If possible...
schax 14. mars 2015 kl. 23.07
Great mod!
CaptRobau 14. mars 2015 kl. 17.41
I really do like the numbers this puts out. I can see which are simulated for real (I just pretend they're entire household) and which number my sprawling city actually has. A big city with just 20K feels too little.
sclarke27 14. mars 2015 kl. 11.22
Former simcity dev here. This mod makes me smile. The best part is that this time around i am not being forced to add GetFudgedPopulation() to the game. :D Yay!!!
Lady Magpie 14. mars 2015 kl. 3.25
Great mod! Think that you could also add it to the district popups, so we can see the fudged pop per district?
Kentokae 14. mars 2015 kl. 2.15
ROTFLMAOL
kreaturen 13. mars 2015 kl. 11.03
@Quick 5ilv3r and so on... The fudge is only exponential in a fairly short interval, 500 to 40k-ish. After that it is linear... So you won't get the population of China.
Cyberdemon 13. mars 2015 kl. 9.58
Great idea! But can you hide or overwrite the "real" population number like marcoboyle suggested? Or maybe show it in the tooltip only? That would greatly enhance immersion.
marcoboyle 13. mars 2015 kl. 8.17
Is there a way to hide the actual pop number or even just take out the word 'fudged'? Everyone who downloads it knows its fudged but it kinda ruins the immersion of the more reasonable numbers for cities if you always have the real number there to remind you, or the fact the adjusted number has a stupid name.
sheiky 13. mars 2015 kl. 6.01
This is a great dig at Maxis/EA and you can never have too many of those but Skylines fudges things a bit when it comes to the visuals if you think about it. I've never seen a 30k population city with so many high rise buildings before. :)
Dr. Koks 13. mars 2015 kl. 0.32
I like this, nice job!
Commissioner Jean Claude Van Dan 12. mars 2015 kl. 17.32
Might I add you might wanna go ham at later stages when peoples cities hit 200k like, at
200k Thats a lot of people!
300k Look at all those babies!
400k You make China look like China Town.
500k You just reached Earth's Population.
750k, Have we colonized mars?
Commissioner Jean Claude Van Dan 12. mars 2015 kl. 17.25
Chill it a fun mod, a kind of piss take at maxis, I like it. Not something I will use at the moment but I might have a look at later date, good work very funny!
koolin_  [skaper] 12. mars 2015 kl. 17.04
I have added some more details to the description to hopefully clear up for those not already aware of SimCity's fudging.
Droknar 12. mars 2015 kl. 16.25
in simcity 2013 the population that was shown to you wasn't really how many people you had in the city. It could say you had 100,000 people but really only 10,000 are in the city
SuperL0rtie 12. mars 2015 kl. 15.57
what the hell does that mean?
