This used to work for me, but not anymore. Any idea what it might conflict with? I looked at the files and it looks too simple to break

This mod is just what the game needed, great job!
Malata Societa' Official 23 okt 2020 om 12:22

Malata Societa' Official 23 okt 2020 om 12:21

Malata Societa' Official 28 sep 2020 om 9:55
@ryoga thanks
Ryoga  [auteur] 28 sep 2020 om 8:26
Without mod every civ gets the same line about jeans and pop music. There is no compatibility issue whatsoever with custom civs.
Malata Societa' Official 21 sep 2020 om 3:21
but whitout mod ussually th civ's what they say?
and if use a modded civ will be crsh???

Russia: Our people are now Slav squatting and wearing your track suits.
elotar 18 feb 2019 om 0:56
@Archer - I don't think the problem was that they are Americans, everything points out that they are just lazy and uninspired.
Archer801 17 feb 2019 om 19:17
little late for the party but yeah, that always bugged me. Like as if the Inca would ever have blue jeans and pop music as their cultural influence. As open minded as this game is, it was clearly made by american people.
damian 23 okt 2018 om 8:34
This is awesome
Ryoga  [auteur] 12 jun 2018 om 14:20
Yes, as far as I know all of JFD's custom civs support this mod.
Joloc 11 jun 2018 om 11:30
can this be used with the jfd's soviet union mod?
Westcliff 16 mrt 2018 om 11:45
Thank you. Exactly what i was looking for.

I wish there was one for Australia

This doesn't work for me. Any idea what it might conflict with?
Scrambleman17 1 dec 2017 om 16:25
I do Have a Bad Memory at these things.

Me Playing Polynesia

Boudica: "Our People are Buying your Shirts and Doing the Hula Dance, I Fear the Rest of the world will Succumb to your Culture"
Me: "Shirts", I Must Post this Comment.
Note: I'm Not Sure if it's "Doing The Hula", "Doing your Hula Dance", or "Doing the Hula Dance"
sirnori 23 nov 2017 om 22:50
What do they say when you're the Ottomans?
Swedra 13 okt 2017 om 3:37
Haha, using that guy as the Civ in all of the example screenshots, priceless!
mhrbnbngs 27 sep 2017 om 6:44
Can you make a list of all the things they say?
Ryoga  [auteur] 28 aug 2017 om 16:40
I haven't tried that mod myself, but I don't think there should be any conflicts with it
Man with No Name 16 aug 2017 om 13:26
@Ryoga: Is this mod compatible with Culural Diffusion?
Reoden 22 jun 2017 om 11:31
Instantly sold at the prospect of spreading Anime throughout the world. Though I do wish it was eating sushi instead of wearing kimonos.

Seriously though, this was definitely needed as all Civs just spreading pop and blue jeans was neglecful from the devs.

How to make a cultural victory actually fun
Pirate Kirklord 26 sep 2016 om 13:51
That mayan one XD
chrispannell2 22 sep 2016 om 22:49
all these hipster nerds using salty, i think my eyes are bleeding
Fenragon 5 sep 2016 om 10:05
@Caligula The entire point of this is that they are stereotypes and wrong, it's said to you by a leader which is annoyed that your culture overtook theirs and is salty.
Medi 9 aug 2016 om 6:50
brb making america weeaboos
ratchet 8 aug 2016 om 1:48
Some of these comments are just fucking terrible. I'm sorry, but it's really off putting.

@Caligula It also says in the base game that if you do the same thing that they are listening to your pop and wearing your jeans. It isnt racist or stereotyped to mention something that a particular Country is known for.

@Ramadhan Ranger Kedah that's because the game has nothing to do with K-pop, so there are limited ways to plug it somewhere in here.
Colonel Sweeto 29 jul 2016 om 2:16
I really appreciate this mod. It's simple, but adds a lot of flavour to the game. Thanks!
Brastion 12 jul 2016 om 11:41
this looks amazing!
Kurt998 25 jun 2016 om 8:52
lmao
Spy#7 21 jun 2016 om 14:54
all these salty weeaboos
Caligula 28 mei 2016 om 17:41
Japan creats anime in the Midieval era,and uses it to become culturaly influent over Brazil.

A+ gg no-re.

(should be replaced by somthnig the mighta had in the majority of history, like sushi(?) or Katanas, but hey,the sentences are 'silly, incorrect, stereotyped, and wrong,so...yea)
Mk Z 18 mrt 2016 om 3:01
wearing kimono should be replaced with eating sushi as those are far more popular
MechaShadowV2 22 feb 2016 om 22:44
Actually Japan has its whole own market of pop, granted it was probably started from american pop but it has its own feeling to it now, much like anime started from a combination of western influance and there own style of what it is today. I wouldn't be too suprissed modern day Arabia has its own style of pop too (if its aloud anyway). That being said, it seems more or less interesting so I'll give this a try.
TY 30 jan 2016 om 19:38
So how do you change the sentences?
Conekid 8 jan 2016 om 16:16
It would be more funny if you replace "Bossa Nova" with "Funk" when Brazilian cultural influence is mentioned .
TY 28 dec 2015 om 20:58
Could you make the sentence for Korea to mention Kpop? Kpop is so underrated in this game lol
friend cube #1 29 nov 2015 om 21:37
I have learned that this is compatible with some JFD civs :D
Suleiman the Magnificent 12 okt 2015 om 18:12
Just saying, I would get REALLY angry if my people listened and watched anime. There WOULD definitely be a purge. I would download a mod to raze cities you created, and then just raze them. I would raze the capital.
bookbeast 23 sep 2015 om 9:58
As a person who prefers to go for the culture victory, I really appreciate this mod. I got a real kick out of having one of the other Civ leaders tell me that "our people are now buying your kimono and watching your anime."
Fenragon 15 sep 2015 om 4:44
To append my last comment, I'm not sure what "getting destroyed and reborn" meant in the eyes of the maya, for they had yearcounts longer than that (calabtun, pinchiltun and alautun, each incrementing by 20).
Fenragon 15 sep 2015 om 4:42
Actually they did, with the mayan long count, they believed that the world would get destroyed and reborn every pictun (about 20 baktun or 7885 years).
K'aax Itzam 30 aug 2015 om 7:44
Just to say, the Mayans didn't believe in the end of the world, they celebrated the 21st of december as a time of rebirth and the long-count calander is reset.
